Drill Here,....Drill Now,.....Pay Less

In May 2008, with gasoline prices well on their way to $4 per gallon, American Solutions launched Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less, a citizen-led petition calling on Congress to “immediately lower gasoline prices” by authorizing the exploration of America’s vast energy resources.

The petition turned quickly turned into a 1.5 million member grassroots movement that re-focused America’s attention on the federal government’s numerous and destructive bans on domestic energy production. In response, Congress decided in September of 2008 to let its quarter-century long ban on offshore drilling expire.

Then Barack Obama entered the White House.

Since taking office, President Obama has worked tirelessly to recreate the same web of restrictions and bans that raised gasoline prices and forced America to become more reliant on OPEC. Adding insult to injury, the President’s policies to thwart domestic oil and gas production have also killed thousands of jobs and hamstrung economic recovery across the country.

Now, as a result of President Obama’s war on American oil and gas, offshore drilling in most of the Outer Continental Shelf is banned, just as it was for twenty-five years up until 2008, and gasoline prices are edging toward $4 per gallon once again.

It’s time to end this senseless return to the policies that Americans have repeatedly and overwhelmingly rejected. Lower gasoline prices and American energy independence are only possible if we actually produce American energy. Banning drilling and threatening to impose new taxes on oil and gas only increase the price of gasoline and diesel at the pump.

We don’t need President Obama’s agenda higher gas prices, higher taxes, and new costly regulations on American energy. We need to drill here and drill now.

Please go to Drill Here, and sign the petition and sign up your friends to receive Drill Here updates. Out country's future depends on our ability to be self sustaining.

Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less

Conservative - Liberal Conversation

Great Cartoon from Battlefield315 depicting two cartoon characters, one conservative the other liberal, and their conversation. If any of you have recently had a conversation with a dense liberal,...well, this will hit home with you. The robotic voices just crack me up.

Union's Political Contributions Exclusively to the Democrats

Although the facts do not lie, that Unions contribute many many times over to the Democrats, in effect buying and owning this politcal party, I do have it from a source that the Union contributions were not from Federal money (read tax payers money) that the Democrats voted to these Unions,...instead it came from bake sales.

No really, union members,...how does it make you feel that you pay dues and the union bosses use it to buy politicians,....the same politicians who are running this country into the ground?

Thanks Tom for the lead on the contributors.
