More Wisdom from Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson (1743 - 1826), A Great Man
"But with respect to future debt; would it not be wise and just for that nation to declare in the constitutionn they are forming that neither the legislature, nor the nation itself can validly contract more debt than they may pay within their own age, or within the term of 19 years." Thomas Jefferson letter to James Madison, 1789
It continues to amaze me how wise our founders were. Truly blessed and inspired by God, the wisdom of these Great Americans transcends the centurys and decades. I can picture Thomas Jefferson and George Washington walking into Congress today and thrashing some of these butt clowns who are occupying seats and throwing away (or sometimes pocketing) tax payer dollars.
What do we have,....74 days now until the reckoning?
