Marine Generals Against the NDAA

Charles C. Krulak and Joseph P. Hoar, both 4 star Marine generals, wrote a op-ed letter, published in the New York Times on December 12, 2011, demanding that President Obama veto the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) bill in order to protect our country from the “false choice between our safety and ideals.” Their problem with the NDAA is that it allows the government use the military to indefinitely detain American citizens without due process.

It then gets into one of the most blatant anti American treasonous provisions in the history of the United States.

One provision would authorize the military to indefinitely detain without charge people suspected of involvement with terrorism, including United States citizens apprehended on American soil. Due process would be a thing of the past.

Some claim that this provision would merely codify existing practice. Current law empowers the military to detain people caught on the battlefield, but this provision would expand the battlefield to include the United States — and hand Osama bin Laden an unearned victory long after his well-earned demise. The NDAA basically throws Posse Comitatus out the window. This is a power that the military have not even asked for this extreme new power.....however, they can be ordered to use.

OP-ED Piece, 12 Dec, NY Times

Guantánamo Forever?

By CHARLES C. KRULAK and JOSEPH P. HOAR

In his inaugural address, President Obama called on us to “reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals.” We agree. Now, to protect both, he must veto the National Defense Authorization Act that Congress is expected to pass this week (Cowboy's note: This Op-Ed was written before the vote. The NDAA did pass and was signed into law by President Obama.

This budget bill — which can be vetoed without cutting financing for our troops — is both misguided and unnecessary: the president already has the power and flexibility to effectively fight terrorism.

One provision would authorize the military to indefinitely detain without charge people suspected of involvement with terrorism, including United States citizens apprehended on American soil. Due process would be a thing of the past. Some claim that this provision would merely codify existing practice. Current law empowers the military to detain people caught on the battlefield, but this provision would expand the battlefield to include the United States — and hand Osama bin Laden an
unearned victory long after his well-earned demise.

A second provision would mandate military custody for most terrorism suspects. It would force on the military responsibilities it hasn’t sought. This would violate not only the spirit of the post-Reconstruction act limiting the use of the armed forces for domestic law enforcement but also our trust with service members, who enlist believing that they will never be asked to turn their weapons on fellow Americans. It would sideline the work of the F.B.I. and local law enforcement agencies in domestic counter-terrorism. These agencies have collected invaluable intelligence because the criminal justice system — unlike indefinite military detention — gives suspects incentives to cooperate.

Mandatory military custody would reduce, if not eliminate, the role of federal courts in terrorism cases. Since 9/11, the shaky, untested military commissions have convicted only six people on terror-related charges, compared with more than 400 in the civilian courts.

A third provision would further extend a ban on transfers from Guantánamo, ensuring that this morally and financially expensive symbol of detainee abuse will remain open well into the future. Not only would this bolster Al Qaeda’s recruiting efforts, it also would make it nearly impossible to transfer 88 men (of the 171 held there) who have been cleared for release. We should be moving to shut
Guantánamo, not extend it.

Having served various administrations, we know that politicians of both parties love this country and want to keep it safe. But right now some in Congress are all too willing to undermine our ideals in the name of fighting terrorism. They should remember that American ideals are assets, not liabilities.

Things that Piss Me Off Right After Christmas

New York Times calls the U.S. the stingiest Nation. I shouldn't even get mad at anything coming out of the New York Times which basically has the same credibility as the National Enquirer, but,...these America haters continue to pick a topic and get it bass ackwards. Not only does the U.S. give generously to all sorts of charities and nations, we give money to our enemies. We give hundreds of millions of dollars to Palestinians who were cheering in the streets while watching the 9-11 attacks on Television. The problem is that we are too generous to the wrong people and nations.

Social Security Payroll Tax Cut. This is the issue where the Federal Government reduces the amount of tax that comes out of our pay checks towards Social Security. Rather than enact any kind of Federal Income Tax or Capital Gains reduction or reform, Obama's brilliant brainstorm of reducing the amount we contribute to the already unfunded and going bankrupt Social Security is a brain teaser to put it mildly. The Democrats and the mainstream liberal media (there I go being redundant again) sure spun this as a Democrat victory and a Republican defeat. A rational person will see this as a defeat for the American People. We the People get a tiny amount of additional take home income in out checks, while social security continues heading towards a cliff. Obama gets to shelf any decision on the oil pipeline from Canada to the U.S., and we'll be back in the same boat again in two months. The promise of the Democrats to work towards a year long reduction in social security payroll tax is like staring at a flat tire when your engine is blown and the steering wheel is missing.

Then we have that idiot Harry Reid (D-NV who stated: "Everything we do around here does not have to wind up in a fight." Well Harry, I reckon it does when one side wants to spend this country into bankruptcy and default, while over taxing the job creators to sabotage the economy, meanwhile placating the people by giving them tax reduction gimmicks that put a few bucks in their pockets at the expense of Social Security solvency. Are we to be bought that cheaply?

Making Newt to look like a Bomb Thrower. With George H.W. Bush formally supporting Mitt Romney, the media train is reporting that Newt Gingrich is too much of a bomb thrower,...much too caustic to gain mainstream Republican support. On the other hand, they paint him as a classic political insider. Wonder which one is closer to the truth as it can't be both. Where the "Bomb Throwing" rep comes from is the 1990 fight between the first Bush Administration's desire to raise taxes, despite Bush's promise not to do so. Anyone remember the "Read my lips, no new taxes" speech? Gingrich's refusal to support Bush's 1990 budget deal was seen as both disloyal and anti-pragmatic, and that's we the lack of support from the Republican mainstream comes from.

Air Force to purchase Brazilian planes – Obama nixes more jobs

First Obama is trying to derail a pipeline from Canada to Texas that would help alleviate our dependency on Middle Eastern oil as well as provide jobs for a reported 20,000 Americans. Now he is sending Defense contracts to foreign countries. Shame on him.

Editor’s Note – In this year of Presidential race politics, with National Security and Jobs/Economy the top concerns of the American voter, why is Obama continually finding ways to kill jobs. The delay on the Canadian oil pipeline until after the election means thousands of jobs will not be filled, maybe ever. Then there is this $1 Billion Air Force project going to a foreign company. Not just any company, but one with ties to Iran . How does this make sense? Your tax dollars are going overseas and possibly into the very hands of our enemies.

Remember, when the Pentagon spends money inside the United States , tax-payer money, those funds go into our economy. It creates jobs, and the money earned goes directly into the system, keeping others employed, all with our tax dollars. Instead, that money will go to Brazil. That is a double hit on our economy.

Obama Admin Bans US Aircraft Maker, Favors Non-US Firm with Ties to Iran on Light Aircraft Project

PJ Tattler
By Bryan Preston

Late Thursday the Obama administration abruptly knocked Kansas aircraft maker Hawker Beechcraft out of contention for a $1 billion project to make a fleet of lightweight counterinsurgency aircraft for the Air Force. Hawker Beechcraft is, understandably, disturbed and asking questions.

The Air Force has notified Hawker Beechcraft Corp. that its Beechcraft AT-6 has been excluded from competition to build a light attack aircraft, a contract worth nearly $1 billion, the company said.

The company had hoped to its AT-6, an armed version of its T-6 trainer, would be chosen for the Light Air Support Counter Insurgency aircraft for the Afghanistan National Army Corps. The chosen aircraft also would be used as a light attack armed reconnaissance aircraft for the U.S. Air Force.

The piston planes are designed for counterinsurgency, close air support, armed overwatch and homeland security, The Wichita Eagle reported.

Hawker Beechcraft officials said in a news release that they were “confounded and troubled” by the Air Force’s decision. The company said it is asking the Air Force for an explanation and will explore all options.

Hawker Beechcraft said it had been working with the Air Force for two years and had invested more than $100 million to meet the Air Force’s requirements for the plane. It noted that the Beechcraft AT-6 had been found capable of meeting the requirements in a demonstration program led by the Air National Guard.

“We have followed the Air Force’s guidance close, and based on what we have seen, we continue to believe that we submitted the most capable, affordable and sustainable light attack aircraft,” the company said.

The company has said that winning the contract would have kept its T-6 production line running after 2015. About 1,400 employees in 20 states – including 800 at Hawker Beechcraft in Wichita – work on the AT-6 and T-6 programs for Beechcraft and its U.S. suppliers and partners.

So that’s another 1,400 American jobs lost. And it gets worse. By knocking Hawker Beechcraft out, the Pentagon has limited the “competition” to one company, a company that is not only not an American manufacturer, it’s a government-owned entity with ties to our enemies. The company is Embraer, which is controlled by the government of Brazil and has close ties to the government of Iran , as Timothy Lee wrote for the Tatler on Nov. 10.

According to the Council on Hemispheric Affairs, “In 1989, Brazil chose to sell Tucanos, Embraer’s relatively low cost and basic military aircraft, to Iran .” Currently, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Air Force operates around 40 Embraer T-27 Tucanos, according to theWashington Institute. In fact, the Iranians use the Tucano as their primary close air support aircraft.

In recent years, Brazil has continued its troubling friendship with Iran and ruthless leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Hudson Institute notes that, “Another area of tension between Brazil and the United States relates to Iran . In November 2009, President da Silva invited Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Brazil . In May 2010, da Silva helped broker a deal in which Iran would ship only a portion of its low-enriched uranium to Turkey for reprocessing; the rest would remain in Iranian hands, where it could be further enriched for nuclear weapon production.”

That willingness to set ethics aside for the betterment of their bottom line illustrates the danger in the US purchasing military aircraft from Brazil .

The matter becomes even more troublesome as news trickles out about the recent Iran-lead assassination attempts on Saudi/US officials on American soil. Even more recently, details have emerged implicating Iran as the mastermind of an illegal plot to smuggle electronic components used in improvised explosive devices (IEDs) out of the US through Iran for US on our troops in Iraq.

Why is the administration making a decision to exclude an American manufacturer in favor of a maker with such a history? This is the Obama administration’s second billion-dollar giveaway to the Brazilian government in 2011; the first was its outrageous offshore oil loan guarantee decision in March. The two decisions siphon more than $2 billion and more than 21,000 jobs out of the US economy. Of the two, putting a foreign manufacturer with ties to our enemies in charge of a project to build anti-terror weaponry may be the most disturbing. And this is the Obama administration’s second major decision against an American aircraft manufacturer, the first being the NLRB’s unprecedented lawsuit against Boeing and its South Carolina Dreamliner plant. Both states impacted — Kansas and South Carolina — are right-to-work states. And then there’s this president’s sustained rhetorical war against corporate jet owners. Somebody has to make those jets, and Hawker Beechcraft is among the manufacturers indirectly targeted.

God In America

The following was sent to me by a Veteran I know and accredited to the writings of Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession: I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees... I don't feel threatened.. I don't feel discriminated against.. That's what they are, Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu . If people want a creche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from, that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Hurricane Katrina).. .... Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response.. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?'

In light of recent events... terrorists attack, school shootings, etc.. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill; thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave, because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about.. And we said okay..

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.'

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing yet?

My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully,

Ben Stein

Christmas Poem: Twas the Month before Christmas

Twas the month before Christmas

When all through our land,

Not a Christian was praying

Nor taking a stand.

See the PC Police had taken away

The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

The children were told by their schools not to sing

About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.

It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say

December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.

Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit

Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!

CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-Pod

Something was changing, something quite odd!

Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa

In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

As Targets were hanging their trees upside down

At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.

At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears

You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.

Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty

Are words that were used to intimidate me.

Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen

On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !

At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter

To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.

And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith

Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace

The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded

The reason for the season, stopped before it started.

So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'

Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.

Choose your words carefully, choose what you say

Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS,

not Happy Holiday!

Christ is The Reason' for the Christ-mas Season!

My Time at Walmart: Why We Need Serious Welfare Reform

Exceptional, first hand account on why we need Welfare Reform

authored by CRousselle, posted on the College Conservative

Go to the College Conservative and watch the video!

During the 2010 and 2011 summers, I was a cashier at Wal-Mart #1788 in Scarborough, Maine. I spent hours upon hours toiling away at a register, scanning, bagging, and dealing with questionable clientele. These were all expected parts of the job, and I was okay with it. What I didn’t expect to be part of my job at Wal-Mart was to witness massive amounts of welfare fraud and abuse.

I understand that sometimes, people are destitute. They need help, and they accept help from the state in order to feed their families. This is fine. It happens. I’m not against temporary aid helping those who truly need it. What I saw at Wal-Mart, however, was not temporary aid. I witnessed generations of families all relying on the state to buy food and other items. I literally witnessed small children asking their mothers if they could borrow their EBT cards. I once had a man show me his welfare card for an ID to buy alcohol. The man was from Massachusetts. Governor Michael Dukakis’ signature was on his welfare card. Dukakis’ last gubernatorial term ended in January of 1991. I was born in June of 1991. The man had been on welfare my entire life. That’s not how welfare was intended, but sadly, it is what it has become.

Other things witnessed while working as a cashier included:

a) People ignoring me on their iPhones while the state paid for their food. (For those of you keeping score at home, an iPhone is at least $200, and requires a data package of at least $25 a month. If a person can spend $25+ a month so they can watch YouTube 24/7, I don’t see why they can’t spend that money on food.)

b) People using TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) money to buy such necessities such as earrings, kitkat bars, beer, WWE figurines, and, my personal favorite, a slip n’ slide. TANF money does not have restrictions like food stamps on what can be bought with it.

c) Extravagant purchases made with food stamps; including, but not limited to: steaks, lobsters, and giant birthday cakes.

d) A man who ran a hotdog stand on the pier in Portland, Maine used to come through my line. He would always discuss his hotdog stand and encourage me to “come visit him for lunch some day.” What would he buy? Hotdogs, buns, mustard, ketchup, etc. How would he pay for it? Food stamps. Either that man really likes hotdogs, or the state is paying for his business. Not okay.

The thing that disturbed me more than simple cases of fraud/abuse was the entitled nature of many of my customers. One time, a package of bell peppers did not ring up as food in the computer. After the woman swiped her EBT card, it showed a balance that equaled the cost of the peppers. The woman asked what the charge was, and a quick glance at the register screen showed that the peppers did not ring up as food. (Food items had the letter ‘F’ next to their description.) The woman immediately began yelling at me, saying that, “It’s food! You eat it!”

This wasn’t the only time things like this happened: if a person’s EBT balance was less than they thought it would be, or if their cards were declined, it was somehow my fault. I understand the situation is stressful, but a person should be knowledgeable about how much money is in their account prior to going grocery shopping. EBT totals are printed on receipts, and every cell phone has a calculator function. There’s no excuse, and there’s no reason to yell at the cashier for it.

The worst thing I ever saw at Wal-Mart Scarborough was two women and their children. These women each had multiple carts full of items, and each began loading them at the same time (this should have been a tip-off to their intelligence levels). The first woman, henceforth known as Welfare Queen #1, paid for about $400 worth of food with food stamps. The majority of her food was void of any nutritional value. She then pulled out an entire month’s worth of WIC (Women, Infants, and Children program) checks. I do not mind people paying with WIC, but the woman had virtually none of the correct items. WIC gives each participating mother a book containing actual images of items for which a person can and cannot redeem the voucher. This woman literally failed at image comprehension.

After redeeming 10+ WIC checks, Welfare Queen #1 had me adjust the prices of several items she was buying (Wal-Mart’s policy is to adjust the price of the item without question if it’s within a dollar or two). She then pulled out a vacuum cleaner, and informed me that the cost of the vacuum was $3.48 because, “that’s what the label says.” The vacuum cleaner was next to a stack of crates that were $3.48. Somehow, every other customer was able to discern that the vacuum cleaner was not $3.48, but Welfare Queen #1 and her friend Welfare Queen #2 were fooled. Welfare Queen #2 informed me that she used to work for Wal-Mart, and that the “laws of Wal-Mart legally said” that I would have to sell her the vacuum for $3.48. After contacting my manager, who went off to find the proper vacuum price, Welfare Queen #1 remarked that it must be tough to stand on a mat all day and be a cashier. I looked at her, smiled, shrugged, and said, “Well, it’s a job.” She was speechless. After they finally admitted defeat, (not before Welfare Queen #2 realizing she didn’t have enough money to buy all of the food she had picked out, resulting in the waste of about $200 worth of products) the two women left about an hour and a half after they arrived at my register. The next man in line said that the two women reminded him of buying steel drums and cement. I said I was reminded why I vote Republican.

Maine has a problem with welfare spending. Maine has some of the highest rates in the nation for food stamp enrollment, Medicaid, and TANF. Nearly 30% of the state is on some form of welfare. Maine is the only state in the nation to rank in the top two for all three categories. This is peculiar, as Maine’s poverty rate isn’t even close to being the highest in the nation. The system in Maine is far easier to get into than in other states, and it encourages dependency. When a person makes over the limit for benefits, they lose all benefits completely. There is no time limit and no motivation to actually get back to work. Furthermore, spending on welfare has increased dramatically, but there has been no reduction of the poverty rate. Something is going terribly wrong, and the things I saw at work were indicators of a much larger problem. Something must change before the state runs out of money funding welfare programs.

Obama's Coil of Rage

I was sent the following by a trusted friend, however the author is unknown, The facts or quotes are easily enough to check out, and like the author say's,..don’t buy them, borrow them from a library! When you've read to the end, come back and read this first paragraph again.

The character of any man is defined by how he treats his mother as the years pass .... need I say more about this person below other than there is no character, no integrity but there is a ton of attitude and arrogance that defines his shallow past and hollow future .... I rest my case.

I bought and read Obama's book, Audacity of Hope. It was difficult to read considering his attitude toward us and everything American. Let me add a phrase he used to describe his attitude toward whites. He harbors a "COIL OF RAGE". His words not mine.

THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT -- HE'S RUNNING AGAIN, YOU KNOW! Is anyone out there awake?

Everyone of voting age should read these two books by him: Don't buy them, just get them from the library.

From Dreams From My Father:
"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."

From Dreams From My Father:
"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."

From Dreams From My Father:
"There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white."

From Dreams From My Father:
"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."

From Dreams From My Father:
"I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."

And FINALLY ........... and most scary:

From Audacity of Hope:
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."

If you have never forwarded an e-mail (or spread the word), now is the time to do so! We have someone with this mentality running our GREAT Nation! Keep your eye on him and don't blink. I don't care whether you are a Democrat, a Republican, a Conservative or a liberal, be aware of the attitude and character of this sitting President.

There is a reason there remains a gag order on his college thesis, it is thought to be highly inflammatory from a race perspective! Both his and Michelle's

Cowboy’s comments: In fact, most all of Obama’s records are sealed or unavailable. There has never been so much secrecy concerning the past of any elected politician, let alone the President. Again, that double standard of behavior and disclosure between Liberals and Conservatives.

The book I would really like for Obama to write is “The Memoirs of a One Term President”.

Lets Tax The Rich

Will taxing the Rich solve the Federal Debt problem? Does Charlie Daniels play a mean flute?

What if we tax everyone, at 50%, making over $250,000 annually,....will that fix our debt problem? If we tax all people earning $250,000 at 100%, would that fix the tax problem?

The answer to the above questions is NO.  Watch the video below to see why and see a clear explanation of  the problem this country is in.

Things That Just Piss You Off

Welfare Fraud. The reports of a Seattle welfare recipient living in a million-dollar home on Lake Washington both highlights the two worst things of our entitlement systems where not only can people get away for this, but they come to expect the government owing them something. These scumbag's, a man and a woman, received $1,200 a month in public housing vouchers, plus state and government disability checks and food stamps. These checks had been coming since 2003.

More US sponsorship of Drug Cartels. Yet another report that US agents help launder drug Cartel money and smuggle that money back to Mexico. While I understand better than most that Law Enforcement agencies need much latitude to conduct investigations and some of those investigation necessitate documenting crimes, this latest report detailed how DEA Agents laundered or smuggled millions of dollars in drug proceeds to see how the system works and use the information against Mexican drug cartels,...and this operations covered shipments of hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal cash across borders. I don't know,....maybe I'm just thinking since almost 50,000 people have been killed in the last five years in Mexico, related to the drugs, the cartels and all manner of fighting, one would think the U.S. could take some more active measures to target these cartels. Maybe some Hell Fire missiles fired from drones in these cartel safe houses.

Obama Spin Against Wall Street. Fueling the Occupy Wall Street is the Obama and Joe Biden driven class warfare rhetoric. Why are all these "want somethings" or entitlement seekers (Democrats in training) banging on Wall Street when Wall Street firms are Obama biggest contributors and, in fact, give to Obama at a 4:1 ratio to conservatives?

Justice Department Warns Alabama Cops. Our Illustrious Depart of Justice sent warning letters to all Alabama Law Enforcements agencies not to violate immigrants civil rights when enforcing the state's new tough illegal immigration law. Say What?!?!? This is the same Department of Justice that gave guns to Mexico Cartels which killed a US Border Patrol agent; elected not to prosecute Black militants intimidating voters in Philadelphia; and, have not brought charges against Obama crony John Corzine for $1.2 billion in lost investments at MF Global. This is the height of hypocrisy. (P.S. We know what MF Global stands for).

Federal Diet

You have heard of the Atkins Diet,..the Longbeach Diet,...the Sicilian Diet,....now get ready for the Federal Diet.

Watch Will Cain of Glenn Beck TV on Obamacare. He lays out many questions and historical perspective on Obamacare and the issues that will be before the Supreme Court this coming sping. Worth watching to the end where there is a clip on now Supreme Court Judge Elena Kagan's confirmation hearing,....Senator Colburn (R-OK) ask a plain question: "Can the Government force the People to eat certain things everyday." Kagan did not answer because she could not without giving away not only her support for Obamacare, but where her philosophy on big government knowing better for the people.

Amazing and scary times we live in.

What is your top issue this election?
Poll Choice Options

* Education
* Environment
* Foreign Policy
* Health Care
* Immigration
* Income Inequality
* Jobs
* Role of Government
* Standard of Living
* Taxes

While I don't know what the current poll numbers reflect, I do know that most of these issues are related and cannot be separated.

Health Care, or the repeal of the Unconstitutional Obamacare which greatly degrades small businesses, is very necessary to any progress on the economy.

Jobs are linked to the Role of Government and Taxes. To make it simple (for Democrats), the expansing Role of Government taking a higher percentage of with tax payer money to fund that government growth, programs and spending degrades the government's ability to tackle the debt, and the expanding governmental powers going around Congress to develop new and heavy regulations on businesses present massive problems for the economy. Add a higher tax burden then these problems
become insurmountable, not allowing the Economy to rebound.

The Standard of Living are linked to Taxes through the heavy burden of taxation the Government lays on the population,.....okay, some of the population - the working part of the population, after all something like 47% of the population do not pay federal income taxes, leaving the rest of us to support entitlement programs for them. But no complaint here,...they are ENTITLED TO IT.

Income Inequality? What the hell are we going to do about that? Sit around and whine because somebody makes more money than we do? You want injustice? How about a Basketball player making 30 million dollars a year to play a sport, while teachers in some states start off with less than $30K a year? But you know what? I wouldn't change it or try to regulate it. The Free Market using supply and demand will take care of this.

You could say education is linked to immigration: The people who do not understand the need for a secure border to stop illegal immigration are woefully educated. We cannot and should not pay for the education for illegal immigrants. You see,....I use immigration and education together in two different sentences!

Christmas Charity for the Occupy Movement

I over heard a conversation on Talk Show Radio where a caller suggested that if the Occupy Punks,..errr,...excuse me,..... the Occupy Movement continued to do whatever they do through Christmas, then a Christmas Charity Event should be organized for them under the name "Toys For Snots".

What a great idea! We could accept new and re-conditioned toys, after all the Occupiers are mostly a bunch of bratty children, and we could offer several modified versions suitable to their mentality and purpose. Can't you just see a "Monopoly- Anarchists Version"?

How about a Leggo set with the subtitle "Leggo down and sign up for Welfare"? One of my favorites would be the "U Owe Me Elmo"......other characters deeply embedded into the American Psyche could also be slightly changed:  Cookie Monster could become "Welfare Monster",.......Ernie and Miss Piggy set could come with an unemployment application.

Maybe a blinged out Talking Barbie with several different voice tracks: "The Free Market Sucks!", "Who's Going to Pay for my College Loans?", the "Government Owes Me a Good Job", ...etc.

We could just offer Bratz dolls to all the female occupiers,...after all they are Brats and they think they know better than everyone else,...hence the Big Heads.

For the more simple minded occupiers,...excuse me I am being redundant,....we could just give them Pogo sticks so they can trounce up and down on the Constitution. Another idea would be an Easy Bake Oven, Easy Bake Car, Easy Bake House,....

So why these occupiers sit around playing "spin the Bottle of Perrier", soaking up city money to pay for the extra enforcement, porta potties,...we can be in warehouse making this Christmas something they would never forget! Maybe we could even get George Soros to fund it since he has about funded all Anti-American causes to date.

Request for the Secret Service Book

Cowboys and Tea Parties has had two request to find the book Secret Service "Impressions and Observations" which supposedly detailed Service Service opinions of the past several Presidents.

I received the initial report via an e-mail from a friend of mine in Federal Law Enforcement. While I had no reason to doubt the e-mail which I based the post on, as well as also having an acquaintance in the Secret Service who had much the same tone and substance in his comments about Bush, Clinton and Obama, I did write in the post that I took awhile to decide to post this or not. I decided to with the caveat for people to make their own determination on the validity of these "snippets". Some we read and can just know to be true as they ring true. Other snippets are damning in and of themselves but reflect the common perception of the "class" or "entitlement" mentality. Make up your own mind.

Bottom line is that I cannot find any offer of the alleged book either. For what it is worth there is another website called Wild Bill for America.
from which the author, I guess his name is "Wild Bill" recorded several you tube videos, one of which is concerning these Secret Service observations and opinions on Presidents. Again, for what it is worth.

New Mexico Sheriffs Standing Tall

Sent to me by a friend, this article titled "New Mexico Sheriffs Standing Tall' was written by Larry Pratt, just before Thanksgiving. See NewsWithViews.com

CowboysAndTeaParties does not necessarily agree with the federal tax beliefs of the article's main character, Dr. Ray Seidel, we do believe that the Federal Government has grown way to large and with the growth uses all manner of regulations outside the scope of enumerated powers; spends tax payer money in obscene way; and that the federal tax code needs to be simplified. Anyway, with further ado, Mr. Pratt's article:

Gun Owners of America (GOA) member Dr. Ray Seidel alerted me to the stirring of freedom that is taking place in his village of Ruidoso, New Mexico. I have already reported on the first battle with Mayor Ray Alborn and how he tried to impose an unconstitutional gun ban in the village. To get the full story of what happened in
Ruidoso, you can go here and listen to my first debriefing session with Seidel.

I recently interviewed Dr. Seidel a second time on my Gun Owners News Hour weekly radio program and asked him about several acts of local interposition in the surrounding counties -- all of which underscores the importance of the office of the sheriff and the militia.

For example, over near Deming, New Mexico is the Gila National Forest. The U.S. Forest Service wanted to make almost all of it off limits for people -- until the militia of Luna County intervened. They told the feds that they would resist any effort by the Forest Service to restrict access to visitors. The result? Visitors have continued to access all of the Gila National Forest!

In the Southeast corner of the state, many landowners have working oil wells on their property. The EPA told the oil operators they would have to stop operating their wells because there was too much risk of harming the environment. At a town hall meeting convened by the EPA, a woman in her 60s rose to address the feds. She pointed out that her land had been in her family for over 200 years, and she was
not about to let some official from an unconstitutional bureaucracy tell her what she could or could not do with her land.

The woman ended by warning the feds that her family has many guns and a huge supply of ammunition, and they would use all of it if needed to keep the EPA off of their land. The locals who had packed out the hearing room jumped to their feet with a shout and prolonged applause. That was in August of this year. As of November, oil is still being pumped at full tilt.

In Otero County, villages in the mountains are surrounded by forests. The county commission voted to establish an 80,000 acre plan to manage forest overgrowth. Residents wanted to cut fire breaks to protect their homes in Cloudcroft, but the Forest Service said, “No.” The residents responded that they had to for safety’s sake and were going to construct the fire break in spite of the Forest Service.

Residents were told that if they cut down any trees, they would be arrested. But Sheriff Raymond Cobos told the Forest Service that if they made any arrests, they would be arrested for false arrest.

Not only were the trees cut down with no opposition from the feds, the first tree was cut down by Congressman Steve Pearce (R-2nd District). Would that there were many more like Rep. Pearce. The folks in the Second District are blessed with a constitution-supporting congressman and a number of constitutional sheriffs backed by the militias of their counties. This is the way that local governments can push back and help the feds to live within the limitations that have been placed upon them in Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution.

As you can see, there’s a lot happening in New Mexico. And Dr. Seidel has been at the center of a lot of it. Two weeks after the people of Ruidoso prevailed in the gun ban debate, Mayor Alborn decided to seek revenge. He went to the state capital of Santa Fe and met with federal officials there. That same week, Seidel got a notice from the IRS that he had until a certain date to file his taxes, which he has refused to do for several years.

Seidel makes no secret of his refusal to submit to the IRS which he considers as part of an unconstitutional regime in Washington. The IRS intended to encumber his assets if he did not bend his knee. Seidel visited with the county sheriff who understood what Seidel was trying to do and told him he “would have his back.” The same was true for the village police chief – the same officer who refused to have his men arrest people who were defying the Ruidoso gun ban by carrying openly in the village council chambers.

Not only was the sheriff and police chief alerted to the possibility of IRS action against Seidel, but so was the militia in Lincoln County – some 200 plus men who keep their rifle and battle bag in their vehicles 24/7. They can muster in about 30 minutes at any place in the county.

Seidel visited with the village assessor, who would be the official to place the encumbrances on his assets. Seidel explained (as he does with everyone) that Title 42, Chapter 1, Subchapter 1, Section 1983 of the federal code would be used to sue her personally for violating his civil rights -- that is, he would sue her if any of his assets were encumbered without having first secured a warrant from an Article III court.

Seidel has frequently argued that he will gladly submit to a federal court (authorized under Article III of the U.S. Constitution) as opposed to a mere tax court (which is an unconstitutional creature within the IRS). As with many administrative agencies, the combining of legislative, executive and judicial
powers within the same four walls constitutes the very definition of tyranny which James Madison warned us about in Federalist 47.

Seidel has used Title 42 on other occasions. One involved a state trooper with an anger management problem who made a false arrest on Seidel’s son. Since being served with a Title 42 suit, the officer has been able to control his anger.

The deadline is long past, and the IRS has done nothing, so the assessor is off the hook for now. But New Mexico is becoming a text book example of how the Founding Fathers envisioned the states would rein in an out-of-control government.

As stated by Alexander Hamilton in Federalist 28: “It may safely be received as an axiom in our political system that the State governments will, in all possible contingencies, afford complete security against invasions of the public liberty by the national authority.”

If there were more sheriffs like those in New Mexico serving around the country, we would be well on the way to safeguarding our liberties against Washington’s “invasions of the public liberty.” It also might occur to the Congress that more examples of sheriffs interposing themselves might result in shrinking down the federal government to do little more than just funding the national defense.

Kentucky Church Bans Interracial Marriage

Wow, I thought we were past this garbage, but apparently not as a small Kentucky church has banned marriages and even some worship services for interracial couples. The Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church, located in Pike County, Kentucky voted as a response to a longtime member who is engaged to a man whose birthplace is in Zimbabwe.

Showing better sense are other local church leaders who were pretty quick to denounce the Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church's vote. "It's not the spirit of the community in any way, shape or form," Randy Johnson, president of the Pike County Ministerial Association, told the Lexington Herald-Leader.

The small congregation, which usually hosts about 40 members each Sunday, held the vote after longtime member Stella Harville, brought her fiancé Ticha Chikuni to church with her in June. The couple performed a song together at the church in which Chikuni sang "I Surrender All," while Harville played the piano. Chikuni, 29, who works at Georgetown College, is black--and Harville, who was baptized at the church but is not an active member, is white. Dean Harville, Stella's father, said he was told by the church's former pastor Melvin Thompson that his daughter and her fiancé were not allowed to sing at the church again. However, Thompson recently stepped down and the church's new pastor, Stacy Stepp, said the couple was once again welcome to sing.

Stepp's decision prompted Thompson to put forth a recommendation saying that while all members are welcome at the church, it does not "condone" interracial marriage, and that any interracial couples would not be received as members or allowed to participate in worship services. The only exception? Funerals.

The Churches recommendation:

That the Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church does not condone interracial marriage. Parties of such marriages will not be received as members, nor will they be used in worship services and other church functions, with the exception being funerals. All are welcome to our public worship services. This recommendation is not intended to judge the salvation of anyone, but is intended to promote greater unity among the church body and the community we serve.

Members of the church held a vote on the recommendation with nine voting in favor and six voting against. The remainder of the church goers chose not to vote - which reminds me of the quoted, "The only things that allows Evil to Triumph is for Good Men to go nothing."

In the day and age of a large scale Governmental campaign (thanks liberals) to diminish the Christian faith and regulate the Christian foundation of this Country, the last thing we need are bigoted Christian Churches.

Federal Debt in Perspective

This was sent to Cowboys and attributed to an article from Global Research

To understand the U.S. financial position, just remove 8 zeros and pretend it’s a household budget.

Then is would look something like this in numbers the average American (including me) can understand:

Annual family income: $21,700

Money the family spent: $38,200

New debt on the credit card: $16,500

Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710

The U.S. is trying to bring their budget under control. This year they implemented total budget cuts of $385. Assuming they don’t spend more than they raise in taxes, it will take them 370 years to pay back this debt.

The bi-partisan U.S. Super Committee is currently discussing proposals to cut spending by $12,000 over 10 years.

At $1,200 in saving per year and assuming they balance the budget, it will then take them a mere 119 year to pay back the debt.

That should clarify the position......what position is that?........SNAFU and FUBAR.

Weapons For Mexico

If you listening to Obama and his minions you would think that American gun dealers are responsible for arming the Mexican Cartels. We have all come to know that the biggest American source of weapons for the Cartels is the (run amok) Justice Department using their ATF assets to smuggle guns to Mexico. But we have long said that the biggest suppliers of weapons is from other world sources such as the old Warsaw Pact countries and other third world countries. Here is an article from Fox News articulating that:

Mexican authorities make record arms seizure, FOX News, November 28, 2011

Mexico City – A shipping container with 900 firearms hidden inside was seized by authorities in the Mexican Pacific port of Lazaro Cardenas, the Navy Secretariat and the Attorney General's Office said in a joint statement.

The container arrived in Mexico from Turkey and was bound for Nicaragua.

The record arms seizure was made in an operation involving marines, AG's office personnel and customs service agents in Lazaro Cardenas, which is in the western state of Michoacan.

Authorities found 154 9 mm pistols, a 7.55 mm pistol and 756 12-gauge shotguns inside the container.

The container and its cargo were turned over to federal prosecutors, who will conduct the investigation.

The operation was part of a larger effort to crack down on arms trafficking and prevent drug traffickers and other organized crime groups from acquiring weapons, the AG's office and the Navy Secretariat said.

Obama's Buddy Sentanced to Prison

Finally, someone has published an article on Antoin Rezko, being sentenced to prison, and linking Obama to his buddy. Previous articles in newspaper appeared on page 7 or even further back, and only linking Rezko to corrupt Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich,...and not Obama. Come to think about it, I think start calling Obama, Blagojevich and Rezko as the three Scamateers!

The Young Republican Network posted an article from the examiner.com at their site, titled “Obama friend and fundraiser sentenced to 10 years imprisonment”:

Of interesting (but not surprising) note is that the mainstream media coverage of Rezko’s sentence this afternoon fails to mention his close ties to the president. A number of headlines describe Rezko as a Blagojevich political fundraiser and adviser, but conspicuously absent is any mention of Obama."

President Obama’s close friend and longtime financial supporter, Chicago businessman Antoin Rezko, was sentenced on November 22 to 101/2 years in prison for operating a massive corruption scheme in which he extorted millions of dollars in kickbacks from investment firms seeking state business.

Media critics have complained that reporters and commentators were too busy discussing unproven sex scandals and unsubstantiated claims against Republican candidates to cover the punishment of another associate of President Barack Obama.

For years Rezko was a major donor and adviser to convicted Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, but his name first surfaced on the national scene during the 2008 presidential election because then-candidate Obama had received hefty campaign contributions from him and the two were longtime pals, according to investigations conducted by the non-partisan Judicial Watch.

In fact, Rezko subsidized a $1.65 million home Obama purchased in Chicago’s South side in 2005 and he hosted a fundraiser for the then- U.S. Senator Obama.

When the feds charged Rezko with extortion, influence peddling and conspiracy, Obama vowed to return all the tainted money - at least $200,000 by some accounts - that his buddy had given him. Rezko was also accused of obtaining a $10.5 million loan from GE Capital through fraud and swindling of group investors.

The Syrian-born businessman has been in jail since his June 2008 conviction but his sentencing was delayed because he was scheduled to testify in Blagojevich’s 2010 corruption trial and retrial this past summer.

Judicial Watch covered both Chicago federal trials, which prominently mentioned Obama and his former chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, who left the post to become the city’s mayor.

"That’s because Blagojevich tried to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated when Obama got elected president. Obama wanted his close friend Valerie Jarrett to finish his senate term and, as Illinois governor, Blagojevich had the power to make it happen. In return, he wanted a federal job that paid a lot of money or some sort of foreign ambassadorship that could lead to bigger and better things," stated the Judicial Watch blogger.

A federal jury ended up convicting Blagojevich of 17 corruption charges and the disgraced former governor is scheduled to be sentenced in early December. He will join an all-star lineup of crooked Illinois politicians when he becomes the state’s fourth governor to serve time for corruption in the last three decades.

Of interesting (but not surprising) note is that the mainstream media coverage of Rezko’s sentence this afternoon fails to mention his close ties to the president. A number of headlines describe Rezko as a Blagojevich political fundraiser and adviser, but conspicuously absent is any mention of Obama.

President Obama's close friend and longtime financial supporter, Chicago businessman Antoin Rezko, was sentenced on November 22 to 101/2 years in prison for operating a massive corruption scheme in which he extorted millions of dollars in kickbacks from investment firms seeking state business. |

A Hero Twice Over

Most people will recognize the name of U.S. Marine Sergeant Dakota Meyer who was recently awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions in Afghanistan. Well it seems that Sgt Meyer is a hero again, this time going up against the Government-Military Industrial connection trying to send top quality military equipment to Pakistan,.....Pakistan who hates our guts. Read the article below from Yahoo! news:

In September, President Obama awarded the Medal of Honor, the nation's most prestigious military award, to Sgt. Dakota Meyer, the marine who saved 36 of his comrades during an ambush in Afghanistan.

Obama called Meyer one of the most "down-to-earth guys that you will ever meet."

But today Meyer, 23, is having trouble getting a job because of allegations by defense contractor BAE Systems that he has a drinking problem and is mentally unstable. Meyer filed legal papers Monday claiming the allegations were in retaliation for objections he raised about BAE's alleged decision to sell high-tech sniper scopes to the Pakistani military.

After leaving active duty in May 2010, Meyer worked at Ausgar Technologies, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business in California, until April 2011.

"He exhibited a maturity for his age and an insightful capability to get the job done and provide recommendations to improve on what we are doing. I was very impressed while he was working for us. He was an outstanding employee," Tom Grant, a retired military naval officer and a senior program manager at Ausgar Technologies, told ABC News.

When asked about the allegations of mental instability and a drinking problem, Grant said, "While Meyer was working for me, I never saw evidence of either of those issues."

In March 2011, Meyer began working at BAE Systems, a British military contracting company, where he learned the company was trying to sell advanced thermal optic scopes to the Pakistani military.

"We are taking the best gear, the best technology on the market to date and giving it to guys known to stab us in the back," Meyer wrote to BAE Systems manager Bobby McCreight, his former co-worker, according to the lawsuit. "These are the same people killing our guys."

But BAE Systems is claiming that that decision is not up to them.

"The U.S. Department of State, not BAE Systems, makes the decision on what defense-related products can be exported. In recent years, the U.S. Government has approved the export of defense-related goods from numerous defense companies to Pakistan as part of the United States' bilateral relationship with that country," said Brian J. Roehrkasse, the vice president of public relations at BAE, in a statement.

In May 2011, Meyer gave his two weeks notice to BAE Systems and applied to return to Ausgar Technologies. He was approved by the U.S. government for the job, but the Ausgar hiring manager informed Meyer that he would not be hired because of allegations made by former marine McCreight.

Meyer is now suing McCreight for telling "the government program manager that Mr. Meyer should not be hired for reasons that are false and defamatory," according to Meyer's original petition.

According to Roehrkasse, BAE Systems strongly disagrees with Meyer's claims and intends to "vigorously defend [themselves] through the appropriate legal process."
