Rand Paul - No More Giving Money to Our Enemies

An article titled, Rand Paul - "Not One Penny More to Countries That Are Burning Our Flag’ from CNSNews.com covers the exceptional speech this patriot made at CPAC this week. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) told conservatives gathered at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Thursday in Washington, D.C., that ending foreign aid to nations like Egypt rather than stopping school children from touring the White House is a better way to cut federal spending.

“I say not one penny more to countries that are burning our flag,” Paul said, as the crowd rose to its feet and cheered. He chided the president for halting the tours as a way to deal with the across-the-board federal budget cuts required by the Budget Control Act of 2011, or sequester, which was proposed and signed into law by the president.

“The president’s trying to step up. He’s trying to do his fair share,” Paul said. “After the sequester was announced, he said he’s going to stop the White House tours for school children. They had to do this because these cuts were imposed by the sequester, but meanwhile, within a few days, the president finds an extra $250 million dollars to send to Egypt.”

Paul was referring to money appropriated by Congress to help the new government in Egypt where protests against the United States have included burning the America flag.

“You know, the country where mobs attacked out embassy, burned our flag and chanted ‘Death to America,’ he found an extra $250 million to reward them,” Paul said. “You know the country whose president recently stood by his spiritual leader who called for death to Israel and all who support her.

Paul, who gained new national attention last week by staging a 13-hour filibuster on the Senate floor in opposition to Obama’s nomination of John Brennan to head the Central Intelligence Agency, brought the stack of notebooks he used on the Senate floor and placed them on a stool next to the podium.

In his remarks, Paul also criticized Obama for the indefinite detention of enemy combatants at Guantanamo Bay and his drone policy as it pertains to the domestic use of unmanned aircraft.

Fiscal Cliff Solutions

$16 Trillion + in Federal Debt and Obama cries that he needs the debt spending limit eliminated and taxes raised on the job creators in order to repair the economy.  If he spent over $5 Trillion in four years with some controls over what he could do, imagine what Obama would do with the debt ceiling removed.

Obama believes that taxes must be raised and federal spending increased in order to repair the economy.  This is like saying a sharp stick in the eye will repair Glaucoma.  A recent national poll suggests that the majority of people believe like I do:

57% - saying "lets cut spending"
20% - saying "lets raise taxes" (on the rich mind you), and
18% - advocating both spending cuts and raising taxes.
the remaining 5% (Obama voters) couldn't find their ass with both hands.

Another separate poll shows us that 89% of the population wants spending cuts in the shadow of the looming Fiscal Cliff.

What we need to do is:

Cut oppressive environmental regulations.

Do not raise taxes on the job creators. Raising taxes on the "rich" or otherwise called the "investors" will drive capital out of this country. Excessive taxation on small business owners will cause these small businesses, which the American economy is built on, to back slide, reducing jobs and further decimating the revenue the Government hopes to gain.

Greatly reduce, or even better eliminate, Obamacare and their business killing mandates. We hear from one major company after another, that they are not only not expanding jobs due to the oppressive costs of Obamacare, they are downsizing as well. And in many cases these companies are planing on paying the federally mandated fine and letting the government pickup the costs for health care further burdening the federal deficit and overwhelming debt.

Open up energy exploration. Just exploiting our natural energy reserves from coal to natural gas to drilling for oil would have a huge impact on jobs as well as giving the oil producing nation's that we import oil from less money to finance the havoc they do.

Pass the Keystone Pipeline approval. Another 20,000 jobs plus another stream of oil,...and better for this oil to go to the U.S. than to China who stepped into the breach after Obama said no to this Canadian source of oil.

And finally do away with the "Death Tax". On January 1st, 2013, the Death Tax reverts back to where the Democrats want it, taxing small businesses, ranches and farms. This tax is paid on the total worth of assests of the estate of a deceased person at a rate of 55%, after an exemption of the first $1 million in value. For instance a corn farmer in Iowa dies leaving a total worth calculated on the acreage, machinery, buildings, even animals of $11 million dollars. After the $1 million exemption, the deceased's estate (or family) must pay the Federal Government $5.5 million in taxes within 90 days, causing the family to sell off about everything and taking that farm out of business. Ridicuolusly unfair, even criminal!...do away with the death tax!

Alan Simpson said What!?!

This is the best summation of the attitude of our liberal politicians that I've read....and lively language, as Ms Patty Myers is pissed off, but she is also very correct..  On second thought, I don't think pissed really covers it!!!!   Even though Alan Simpson is a long term Republican and from a very conversative state, what he said is inexcusable and more apt from some Dem.

Alan Simpson, the Senator from Wyoming, Co-Chair of Obama's deficit commission, in effect calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared "Social Security " to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats. Here's a response in a letter from Ms. Myers, who is from the Great State of Montana:

"Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight!!!!!

1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole (teat) for FIFTY YEARS.

2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).

3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud.

 4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and "your ilk" pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age, 67. NOW, you and your "shill commission" is proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN.

5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now "you morons" propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because "you idiots" mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal our money from Medicare to pay the bills.

6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because you "incompetent bastards" spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt. To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "bullshit" to your incompetence.

Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few questions for YOU:

1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?

2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?

3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies?

It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the "greedy" ones. It is you and your fellow nutcase thieves who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers.

And for what? Votes and your job and retirement security at our expense, you lunk headed, leech. That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic, political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it. And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch. NO, I did not stutter.

Calling Social Security benefits "entitlements"……WHAT AN INSULT !!!!  We have been paying in to the SS system 45 years…it's my money…give it back to me the way the system was designed or give me all my "forced contributions": back and stop patting yourself on the back like you are being generous to be dolling out these monthly checks."

If you like the way things are in America delete this.  If you read the whole thing, you probably agree with this and if so then pass it on.

Geithner: No Debt Ceiling for Federal Government

Thanks to Elizabeth Harrington of CNSNews.com for her article, "Treasury Secretary Geithner: Lift Debt Limit to Infinity" of a few days ago. This is another bit of news you'll never see in the Lap Dog media.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Friday that Congress should stop placing legal limits on the amount of money the government can borrow and effectively lift the debt limit to infinity.

On Bloomberg TV, “Political Capital” host Al Hunt asked Geithner if he believes “we ought to just eliminate the debt ceiling.”

“Oh, absolutely,” Geithner said.

“You do? Will you propose that?” Hunt asked

“Well, this is something only Congress can solve,” Geithner said. “Congress put it on itself. We've had 100 years of experience with it, and I think only once--last summer--did people decide to use it to threaten default on the American credit for the first time in history as a tool for political advantage. And that’s not a tenable strategy.”

Hunt then asked: “Is now the time to eliminate it?”

“It would have been time a long time ago to eliminate it,” Geithner said. “The sooner the better.”

Geithner’s Treasury Department quietly warned at the end of October that the Treasury would reach current legal limit on the federal government's debt by about the end of the year.

In August 2011, President Barack Obama and Congress agreed to lift the legal debt limit by another $2.4 trillion--allowing the government to borrow up to $16.394 trillion. However, as of the close of business on Thursday, the Treasury had only $154.3 billion of that $2.4 trillion in new borrowing authority left.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said last week that the Senate stands ready to increase the debt limit by another $2.4 trillion. “If it has to be raised, we’ll raise it,” Reid said.

Cowboy's and Tea Parties Comments: Are you kidding me? Hey Turbo Tax Tim, does the words "economic collapse" mean anything to you? How about "down graded bond rating"?,.....maybe "national bankruptcy" rings a bell.

This, increasing the debt limit, really is a stupid idea placing the future of this country and our children, their children and our great grand children at signifcant risk.

Imagine a family increasing their credit card limit then using the limit. This is the same thing. The more money the U.S. borrows the more of the national revenue has to be used to pay it off, therefore the less money to pay for anything else from entitlements and handouts to national defense. Anyone who advocates increasing the national debt limit does not have this Country's best interests in mind and in fact is intentionally placing this Country at great risk.

The only way this Country can come out of this spiraling budget disaster is to repeal anti-business regulations from burdening EPA regs to Obamacare and allow U.S. business to expand and fuel higher revenue. The more money people make, the more money they spend, the more tax revenue is collected and the faster we can pay off the debt,....but we have to also cut waste and abuse, and reform entitlement programs.

Senator Eric Cantor and the Republicans has it right with their "You Cut" program and when earlier this year, they would not approve of additional government funding via a Contuning Resolution (CR) unless the Dem's agreed to cutting funding from somewhere else. Remember that we still don;t have a federal budget. Senator Hary Reid will not allo the Senate to consider the House passed budgets and Obama's sole budget proposal was voted down 99 to 0. And the American people still re-elected these Butt Clowns. Unbelievable!

Opinion on America's Debt Problem

With the Federal Debt now at $16 Trillion plus dollars and the annual Federal Deficit running at over $1 Trillion AND with no end in sight, the following quote takes on new meaning, especially after the $5+ Trillion dollars that Obama and his Administration has added to the burden for our children and grand children.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that, "the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

Vast Right Wing Conspiracy: Dems Accuse GOP of Economic Sabotage — Again

From a story on The Blaze.

WASHINGTON (AP/The Blaze) — Are Republican lawmakers deliberately stalling the economic recovery to hurt President Barack Obama’s re-election chances? Some top Democrats say yes, pointing to GOP stances on the debt limit and other issues that they claim are causing unnecessary economic anxiety and retarding growth. The latest Democratic complaint came after House Speaker John Boehner said Tuesday that when Congress raises the nation’s borrowing cap in early 2013, he will again insist on big spending cuts to offset the increase. Boehner, R-Ohio, continues to reject higher tax rates, which Democrats demand from the wealthy.

Cowboy's Comment: No, the Republicans are stalling. In fact it would be in their interests to work with Obama and help get him a second term. Yes, tht right, get Obama a second term. If the Country doesn't tank, then the Republicans may just win the Exeuctive Office and both Houses of Congress for the next several decades as people will remember the incredible damages of an eight year Obama Presidency. If the People through the bum out this November as the Republicans get a slim, but working majority in the Senate and retain the House,....I just don't think it will be enought to get this country back on track and they will get the blame for it, then another anti-American, anti-capitalist Democrat will come out of nowhere and then it may be all she wrote for this Country. Anyway, back to the article:

That led Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., to say Boehner is virtually assuring another debt-ceiling crisis as bad or worse than the one that shook financial markets nine months ago. “The last thing the country needs is a rerun of last summer’s debacle that nearly brought down our economy,” Schumer said in a statement. In an interview, Schumer added: “I hope that the speaker is not doing this because he doesn’t want to see the economy improve, because what he said will certainly rattle the markets.”

Boehner responded in a statement: “Republicans have passed nearly 30 bills that would help small businesses create jobs and we are waiting on Senate Democrats to vote on these common-sense measures. The failure to act on these jobs bills, as well as our crushing debt burden, is undermining economic growth and job creation.”

Democrats say Republicans loaded their jobs bills with provisions certain to doom them in the Senate, such as restrictions on unions and on regulatory agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency. Regardless of whether Schumer’s suspicions are correct, there’s evidence that unceasing partisan gridlock and the prospect of big tax increases and spending cuts in January are causing some companies to postpone expansions.

Even small economic slowdowns are bad news for Obama, who is seeking re-election amid high unemployment. The Washington Post this past week compiled a list of military contractors, hospitals and universities that are delaying hires and bracing for cuts, partly because of fears that Washington’s partisan divisions will not abate.

The most obvious showdown will happen soon after the Nov. 6 election. Unless a lame-duck Congress can make deals, the economy will suffer a double whammy of large tax increases and spending cuts, starting Jan. 1. The tax increases would hit virtually every working American and the spending cuts would affect military and domestic programs. Economists say that what Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke calls a “fiscal cliff” could possibly lead to another severe recession.

On top of that, perhaps by late January or so, Congress and the president — be it Obama or Republican Mitt Romney — will again confront the need to raise the country’s borrowing limit or else trigger a first-ever government failure to pay its debts. A partisan showdown over this issue last summer led to a downgrade in the nation’s credit worthiness and a sharp stock market drop. These crucial decisions will occur after the presidential election.

But investors, planners and business owners make decisions about hiring, expansion and investments months in advance. The more they worry about a serious economic downturn in nine months or so, the more reluctant they are to expand operations and hire workers now. “All that uncertainty has us cautious, and we’re scaling back our hiring expectations,” said Eric Remington, vice president of Kaman Corp., which recently canceled plans to hire 200 new workers at a defense aerospace plant in Jacksonville, Fla.

Schumer and other top Democrats have said for months that GOP lawmakers may be trying to strangle the economic recovery for political reasons. “Their strategy is to suffocate the economy for the sake of what they think will be a political victory,” Obama’s campaign manager, Jim Messina, wrote in an email to supporters last October, when Congress was debating a jobs bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said his Republican counterpart was not cooperating on that legislation “in hopes that he can get my job, perhaps.”

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, told The Associated Press last year that some GOP lawmakers, “through their intransigence, cleverly set up a situation for America’s economy to fail, either by needlessly driving us to default, or needlessly driving us into massive public-sector layoffs.” Federal, state and local government layoffs have been under way for months. They may be necessary to reduce deficits and survive recessions. But they increase unemployment, a problem for any president seeking a second term.

Since February 2010, when the Labor Department started reporting a steady decline in unemployment, the private sector has gained 4.2 million positions. But federal, state and local governments during that time have cut more than 500,000 jobs – and those are just job cuts in the public sector.

What about the number of people who have dropped out of the workforce? “In April the number of people not in the labor force rose by a whopping 522,000 from 87,897,000 to 88,419,000 [emphasis added],” Zero Hedge reports. Bottom line: the economy created only 115,000 jobs in April, 522,000 people left the labor force, the “official” unemployment rate is 8.1 percent, and total employment for the month actually fell 169,000, according to CNBC.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California did not ascribe partisan motives to Boehner’s latest warnings about the next debt ceiling showdown. But she said he may be unnecessarily hurting the economy. “It already can be damaging, just the fact that it’s brought up,” Pelosi told reporters Thursday. Republicans say it’s absurd to make such an accusation. They point to bipartisan efforts to pass jobs-creation bills, trade pacts and, after some arguments, an extension of the payroll tax cut that Obama originally had proposed for only one year.

GOP lawmakers want Congress to act this year to ensure that none of the Bush-era income tax cuts will expire, as scheduled, on Jan. 1. Such assurance, they say, could lead investors and business owners to start expanding and hiring now. Democrats say the move, by itself, would increase the deficit dramatically. They want to end the tax cuts for the wealthiest and they note that the economy boomed during Bill Clinton’s presidency, before the big tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 were enacted.

Boehner’s aides say the speaker supports tax law changes, including eliminating some loopholes and exemptions, that could result in greater revenue even if rates remain the same or are reduced. As for the debt limit, “allowing America to default would be irresponsible,” Boehner said Tuesday at an economic forum. “But it would be more irresponsible to raise the debt ceiling without taking dramatic steps to reduce spending and reform the budget process.”

Democrats say that’s precisely the type of economic saber-rattling that can frighten investors and employers, and damage Obama’s re-election hopes. Boehner disagrees. “I said that we should not wait until the 11th hour to address these issues,” Boehner told reporters Thursday. “The only ones who are talking about drama or brinksmanship are my Democrat colleagues.” The danger of another credit-rating downgrade “comes from continued inaction on the deficit, and our piling debt,” he said, not from “calls for action.”

More Lunancy

Green Energy. The bailout for GM (no, not General Motors, but Government Motors) WAS successful at a $250,000 per job saved to tax payers. Really?  Another report, or admission, is that the development of the Chevy Volt has cost us $2.5 billion.  Boy, we're heading in the right direction!  What the liberals pushing green energy don't understand is where the electricity comes from to plug these worthless four wheled contraptions into. Most all electricity comes from fossil fuel powered plants that create electricity. So here's the Administration's plan: lets over regulate the oil and coal industry so production is practically impossible,.... .....raising electric rates - remember when Obama said they will necessarily double?,........then create or mandate a bunch of electric cars that only go 80 miles before needing an 8 hour re-charge. Let's make the American people use green energy,...after all we know what's best for them,....whether it tanks the U.S. economy or not.

Politicians Out of Touch with the American People. This was the claim against Mitt Romney when at a Republican Presidential debate, he bet Rick Perry $10,000 that he was wrong on facts relating to Romney's book. The mainstream (read liberal) media jumped all over Mitt claiming he was "way out of touch with common Americans who could never even dream about betting $10,000." Now we have Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) former shamed speaker of the House spending $10,000 a night for hotel accomodations in Hawaii and not one stinking peep from the media about how out of touch fanciful Nancy is with the People by spending $10,000 a night for a hotel room.

More Borrowing Power Requested. Obama just requested $1.2 Trillion in additional borrowing power. He wants to raise the debt ceiling again. This time before Congress reconvenes in session so they can't do anything about it. After running up a HUGE debt in his short three years, Obama has the gall to request even more borrowing. What? the Unions need more money to bring the votes in? Now it is even harder to debate the people who think that Obama is intentionally ruining this country as this new debt ceiling may be taking us over the edge.

Lets Tax The Rich

Will taxing the Rich solve the Federal Debt problem? Does Charlie Daniels play a mean flute?

What if we tax everyone, at 50%, making over $250,000 annually,....will that fix our debt problem? If we tax all people earning $250,000 at 100%, would that fix the tax problem?

The answer to the above questions is NO.  Watch the video below to see why and see a clear explanation of  the problem this country is in.

Federal Debt in Perspective

This was sent to Cowboys and attributed to an article from Global Research

To understand the U.S. financial position, just remove 8 zeros and pretend it’s a household budget.

Then is would look something like this in numbers the average American (including me) can understand:

Annual family income: $21,700

Money the family spent: $38,200

New debt on the credit card: $16,500

Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710

The U.S. is trying to bring their budget under control. This year they implemented total budget cuts of $385. Assuming they don’t spend more than they raise in taxes, it will take them 370 years to pay back this debt.

The bi-partisan U.S. Super Committee is currently discussing proposals to cut spending by $12,000 over 10 years.

At $1,200 in saving per year and assuming they balance the budget, it will then take them a mere 119 year to pay back the debt.

That should clarify the position......what position is that?........SNAFU and FUBAR.

The more things change, the more they stay the same,……

Clarence J. Brown (R-OH), taking a cue from Democrat President Harry S. Truman’s 1949 speech which was billed as a “pie for everyone” speech, was able to get the following poem into the Congressional record, citing it from a prominent Democrat from Georgia. I guess things haven't changed that much in 62 years,.....Democrats still buying votes with entitlement promises and programs. The biggest change in 62 years? The deficit of course, which is now at $15 trillion and counting.

In case you can’t read the document, here are the words to the poem:

DEMOCRAT DIALOG

Father, must I go to work?
No, my lucky son.
We’re living now on Easy Street
On dough from Washington

We’ve left it up to Uncle Sam,
So don’t get exercised.
Nobody has to give a damn –
We’ve all been subsidized.

But if Sam treats us all so well
And feeds us milk and honey,
Please, Daddy, tell me what the hell
He’s going to use for money.

Don’t worry. Bub, there’s not a hitch
In this here noble plan –
He simply soaks the filthy rich
And helps the common man.

But Father won’t there come a time
When they run out of cash
And we have left them not a dime
When things will go to smash?

My faith in you is shrinking, son,
You nosy little brat.
You do too much damn thinking, son.
To be a Democrat.

Latest Crap that Makes Me Mad

I don't know if the fact that I'm getting older is a major cause of things just pissing me off,...but I do know that two recent articles in the local paper just got me steamed,....

First of all, remember that idiot Florida Pastor Terry Jones who threatened to burn a bunch of Korans if the Iman Rauf didn't change his plans to build a Mosque,...excuse me,...a Islamic Center close to Ground Zero?...Well, some New Jersey car dealer, named Brad Benson, made a pitch on one of his quirky radio spots to the effect that if Pastor Jones refrains from burning Korans then Benson will give him a car. And no kidding, the Pastor now wants it....he's slipping into the entitlement mode,..."give me something for which I didn't work for." ........
.....Hey, will anyone give ME something if I don't line my cat's litter box with pictures of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barney Frank?

The next thing was the Federal Reserve's plan to buy T bonds to help drive down already historically low loan rates. We've got the Administration and the Democrats in Congress that want to let people keep their houses they can't or refuse to pay mortgages on (let me or you try that!). We have the largest Federal debt in history,...we have the Federal Budget increasing 9%,.....we have an 27% increase in food stamp recipients,...people receiving unemployment benefits have risen a whopping 34%....and, there are actually people out there who want to give the Democrats two more years to screw things up further,...frigging unbelievably.

And the kicker on the latest crap that makes me mad is the reports that many States did not get Absentee Ballots out to the Military. So seemingly, in this day of next day delivery by FED-EX, UPS and DHL, service members may be denied the right to vote. Is it perhaps that the military votes over whelming for conservatives?
