An e-mail blasting laws that congress makes for the people then exempts themselves for as been making the rounds,...at least the rounds of conservative readers. It states something to this effect:
Children of congress members do not have to pay back their college student loans. Staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans as well.
Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms.
What is interesting is that James Madison, 1751-1836 and 4th President of the United States, warned us about this the Federalist No. 57, 1788:
"The house of representatives can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as the great mass of society. This had always been deemed one of the strongest bonds by which human policy can connect the rulers and the people together. It creates between them that communion of interest, and sympathy of sentiments, of which few governments have furnished examples; but without which every government degenerates into tyranny.

"Lawful" Theft by the Federal Government
Subject: Government Against the People,....or,...The Federal Government owns the West,......or,....Lawful Theft by the Feds. All these titles will work.
This is a combination of two articles sent to me by readers and my comments.
The States have been victims of theft, since the early days of becoming territories, by creeping Federalism (with fast spurt periods during the Wilson, Roosevelt, and Obama administrations) that has now reached the point of being the main cause for the biggest transfer of wealth in all recorded history. The government has become so invasive and intrusive in our free enterprise system of resource development, that all resource recovery of oil (on land) has been stopped.
Ostensibly it has been stopped for source acquisition, that is, land accumulation and lock up for future profits. Our government wants to control all aspects of the oil business with the possible exception of wheeled transport of the raw material and wheeled transport of the refined products. Our government is the biggest land owner in our country and the land is and has been acquired using devious methods, illegal procedures, and official lies to disguise the government's intent for the land's use.
Taking for granted bits and pieces of fee owned land for military facilities and other necessary organizations that require land plots, why does the Federal Government own so much of any state, let along so much of the West and little of the East?
The above map depicts the massive Federal intrusion into State lands. I only listed two states on the East Coast, North Carolina and New Hampshire, because they have the biggest percentage of Federally owned on th East coast, or even East of the Mississippi River.
There is evidence the land being accumulated by the government contains massive known oil and gas resources and the government covets future profits by controlling the land from lease through refining and ultimate consumer use. This is a scandal and while our government manipulates the oil industry by hiding behind conservationist and fake resource managers, we continue to buy oil from foreign sources, which transfers our wealth to off shore cartels and monopolies.
This has been called the "largest transfer of wealth in history". If you have doubts about who our government is "in bed" with on land acquisitions read: http://frontpagemag.com/2010/08/16/obamas-land-deal-power-grab. Note also the sleazy considerations for identifying and justifying the lands they choose to accumulate and acquire.
Your government is holding a series of meetings to provide guidance to field workers on how to choose land that can best be acquired to fool the population. Our own elected officials are scheming to transform our government's role in all aspects of the citizens’ lives---our government wants to earn money (a function never given them by the Constitution) and destroy the free enterprise system.
