June's Republican Straw Poll from Town Hall

From Townhall.com

Ron Paul won the June Townhall.com and HotAir.com Presidential Straw Poll. This is the second time since January that Ron Paul has won the Straw Poll. He also saw the biggest jump in support this month at 5.8%. In fact, he was one of only four candidates who gained ground this month: Sarah Palin (+4.1%), Michele Bachmann (+5.3%) and Rick Perry (+3.4%).

Cowboy's Comments: Can't bring myself to support Ron Paul. I think although he would be a much better President than the clown we have in office now, Rep. Paul is unacceptable to the majority of the American people and is unelectable. But I know there are alot of Ron Paul supporters out there, who I have just pissed off.

Not surprisingly, those candidates received the most buzz this in the media this month. Herman Cain, the May Straw Poll Winner, received the biggest drop in support at -6.6%. Has the Hermanator's support peaked? Is Sarah Palin making a comeback in anticipation of a possible presidential announcement? Are new faces Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry beginning to gain momentum?

Very interesting race. I hope the Republicans, Conservatives and Tea Party can come together to support one candidate when it is time. As we all know, any of the Republican candidates would be a much better job than Obama.

Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI) just joined the race. I believe he'll be much in the shadows but it remains to be seen how much he'll add to the debate.

Democrats Wrong on Tax Policy

From Town Hall, Larry Kudlow's excellent article entitled: "Democrats Need a 12-Step Recovery Program on Taxes"

Here's a question: Why is repealing the Bush tax cuts such a constant obsession for the Democratic Party? Especially the top rates for the most successful earners and small business entrepreneurs?

It seems this is the Democratic answer for every single issue, every problem, every debate.

This, of course, saddens me enormously.

And so, always ready to help, I am recommending a 12-Step program to help them overcome their anger, resentment, and obsession over the Bush tax cuts. Democrats really need a Higher Power on this.

First, when tax rates were lowered across-the-board in mid-2003, the incentive effect kicked in to jump-start the economy immediately. Over the next four and a half years, before the financial meltdown slammed the economy-- and that was a credit event, not a fiscal one—8.2 million jobs were created.

Jobs essentially rose for about fifty consecutive months. Non-farm payrolls rose from just under 130 million to just over 138 million. Don’t believe me? You can look it up. This sort of job creation is exactly what President Obama would love to see happen now.

And, while jobs rose, the government took in more revenues. As a share of GDP, revenues rose from 16.2 percent to 18.5 percent. Simply put, supply-side tax cuts were the single best economic policy President Bush implemented.

Elsewhere, President Bush overspent and over regulated. And yes, the dollar collapsed on his watch. And from Fannie Mae to the Federal Reserve, the housing bubble was born.

But the tax cuts? They worked. And that's my point.

Cowboy's comment: Over Regulation? I don;t think we have ever seen the over regulation that is coming from the Obama administration. He is assuming powers not enumerated by the Constitution in order to take over lands and direct regulations that are killing small business and farming/ranching.

SEAL Team Six

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!......
It's only fitting that we showcase some of this Country's Heroes.

Group Photo of some of the operators from Seal Team Six,.............and you can imagine the look on Bin Laden's face when these guys came through the door?

Let's be clear on this: OBAMA did NOT kill Bin Laden. An American sailor, who Obama, just a few weeks ago, was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. In fact, if you remember a little less than two years ago, his administration actually charged and attempted to court-martial 3 Navy Seals from Seal Team Six, when a terrorist suspect they captured, complained they had punched him during the take down and bloodied his nose. His administration further commented how brutal they were. The left were calling them Nazi's and Baby Killers. Now all of a sudden, the very brave men they vilified are now heroes when they make his administration look good in the eyes of the public. Obama just happened to be the one in office when the CIA finally found the b...... And our sailors took him out. Essentially, Obama only gave an answer. Yes or No, to him being taken out.

OBAMA'S OWN WORDS TRAP HIM:

2008: "Navy Seal Team 6 is Cheney's private assassination team."
2011: "I put together Seal Team 6 to take out Bin Laden."

2008: "Bin Laden is innocent until proven guilty, and must be captured alive and given a fair trial."
2011: "I authorized Seal Team 6 to kill Bin Laden."

2008: " Guantanamo is entirely unnecessary, and the detainees should not be interrogated.
2011: "Vital intelligence was obtained from Guantanamo detainees that led to our locating Bin Laden."
