Impending Tax Changes in 2013

Everybody's taxes are going up, even though the grand Poobah himself, Obama, declared that raising taxes during a poor economy (indeed a recession) is a bad idea. We are on the verge of virtually everything going up,...taxes, food, fuel, housing, interest rates,....everything.

The great descent, indeed a free fall, over the Fiscal Cliff is no myth. Just wait and see. If Congress and this President do nothing before 31 December, on 1 January 2013 you will see the changes outlined in the chart below, courtesy of Bankrate.com and also viewable on the Yahoo Finance article here.

Benghazi,...Maybe We'll Find Out Some Answers Soon

....and maybe not. Hilary Clinton, soon to be the out going Sectetary of State, is scheduled next week to testify on what she knows about Benghazi. The questions are numerous, I'm afraid the answers will be few. While Clinton did brief congressional leaders behind closed doors shortly after the attack, many more questions have arisen as facts and assumptions become apparent following that initial briefing.

Such as:
1. Why did the Administration, for up to two weeks following the attack that left the U.S. Ambassador and three other Americans dead, continually refer to the terrorist attack as caused by a populat riot against a anti-muslim video?
2. Who pressured Susan Rice, Ambassador to the United Nations, to back up the Administration claims of a riot gone wild? Why is she unrepetent?
3. Why did the U.S. military assets in the region not respond, given the response time of one to two hours, when Americans held out against terrorists for up to seven hours?
4. Why did the President say on television that he ordered the military the respond, but no media has followed up to determine when did he order it, and/or ask for a written copy of the execute order?
5. Why were key military leaders removed , one frm AFRICOM, General Ham and the Naval Admiral, Rear Admiral Gaudette, in days following this failure to protect American citizens?
6. Former CIA Director David Petraeus testified behind closed doors before the Senate Intelligence Committee about the attack in November and told congressonal leaders that the intelligence report that went to the White House clearly dicatated a planned terrorist attack. If Ambassador Rice was given intelligence from the White House, who changed it from terrorist attack to "mob frenzy" and who ordered it?

Along with Clinton testifying, an "independent review" by the State Department on the findings concerning how the Libyan threats and consulate security were handled.

Navy Cancels Nativity Scene at Base in Bahrain

From a report by Cristina Silva of Stars and Stripes we learn that a live Nativity scene planned at the U.S. Navy base in Bahrain was dropped from a holiday program after an atheist group complained that it amounted to command sponsorship of a Christian event and could put servicemembers in the Muslim-majority country at risk.

Cowboys and Tea Parties comment: Here we go again, letting a small minority of whining, butt clowns dicate on how we can worship and continue the myth of "separation of Church and State". Overwhelmingly proved through a pethora of writings, the Founder's intended that the State, meaning the federal Government and the individual States, could not dicate a specific religion. After all this Country was founded by people initially seeking the right to worship as they saw fit.

The live nativity was initially scheduled for Dec. 6 during an annual holiday tree-lighting ceremony hosted by Naval Support Activity Bahrain. The celebration also advertised appearances from “Mr. & Mrs. Claus and Camel,” according to a promotional flyer.

The Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers wrote a complaint to the Inspector General responsible for Navy installations, asking that the event be investigated because it promoted “Christianity as the official religion of the base.”

“This violates the Constitution and the mandates of the command to support all belief while privileging none,” the group wrote, according to a post on its website.

The event also could foster misconceptions about the U.S. military’s religious agenda in a Muslim country, the group argued.

Cowboys and Tea Parties comment: As far as any problems Muslim countries may have with our religious practices, I would have to go a little John Wayne on them and say "We respect all religions. We protect all people and right to worship as they see fit. We have expended much blood and treasure to do so. We also demand that our right to worship is respected as well. If this cannot be, then we will severe ties with you including the protection of our military and the vast financial aid you receive from the People of the United States."

Then the butt clown atheists continue: “This event threatens U.S. security and violates the Constitution as well as command policy,” the group wrote.

According to the group’s web posting, the inspector general responded that: “Upon further review, the CRP (Command Religious Program) will be removing the Living Nativity Program from the general base secular holiday festivities and co-locating it more appropriately with some of our other private religious and faith-based observances at the chapel at a separate time.”
