Cowboy Logic for the Day

"Call a Horse a Mule Long Enough, and he'll believe it"

This pertains to telling a lie long enough, it becomes the accepted truth. What comes to light is Obama traveling around the Country, trying to sell the Health Care Bill, AFTER it has been signed into law. This is part arrogance on Obama's part telling the American people they were wrong to be against the health care bill; part damage mitigation by trying to redirect perceptions because the November 2010 elections loom so large with the Democrats voting against the will of the American people; and all LIE as Obama tells the people that this Health Care Law is good for America.

Cowboy Logic for the Day

“The quickest way out of Debt is not to borrow money in the first place.”

Boy oh boy, don’t the wish our Government had this thought? Far and away most Americans have to live on a budget. Minor and major dilemmas such as vehicle breakdowns, home repairs and other unexpected bills wreck havoc on our budget, our standard of living and credit ratings. The U.S. Government doesn’t have that restriction – they spend money like drunken cowboys with two months wages burning a hole in their pocket who haven’t seen town in half a year. With common Americans having to work 5 months of a year just to pay for all of the tax burdens on us, you would think the Government has enough money to pay for things, if they spend wisely. Apparently this isn’t the case.

Cowboy Logic for the Day

“Always take a good look at what you’re about to eat. It’s not so important to know what it is, but you should know what it was.”

When I heard this the first thing I thought about was the abomination called the “Health Care” bill that Congress passed without even knowing what was in it. Not a lick of those so called Representatives, be they Congressmen or Senators, read the damn thing, but insist on passing it anyway and ramming down our throats.

Cowboy Logic for the Day

"If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop digging."

Boy, if only the U.S. Government could only take this piece of Cowboy logic to heart. Then maybe we wouldn't be in so much debt, and our children and grandchildrens' future wouldn't be mortgaged to the hilt.

We also wouldn't be breeding generations of people entitled to government handouts. The Health Care bill should have never passed given the giant debt hole we are currently in. I know, I know, there are constitutional issues as well with the U.S. Government grabbing powers not enumerated by the Constitution, but the first order of things is to stop digging the debt hole. I say, let's put Dave Ramsey in charge of the Treasury!

Cowboy Logic for the Day

“For Some Men it was Too Late to Get Wise the Day They Were Born.”

This bit of Cowboy wisdom makes me think of Liberals stuck on or wrapped around their socialist ideology. Seems not to matter the endless historical examples of failed socialist movements and programs, they keep marching forward on their bent for bigger government, more spending, higher taxes and government control. We just ain't gonna be able to wise them up, they were born that way.

Pelosi, Reid, Rangel, Frank and the whole lot have got to go. Let’s retire them all and let their respective States deal with them smelling up the place.

Cowboy Logic for the Day

"Careful as a Naked Man Climbing a Bob Wire Fence"

This pertains to Democrats trying to ram Health Care and higher taxes down the throats of the American people. The naked man is the group of Democrats up for re-election this year and the Bob Wire fence is the American voters who are going to tear a chunk out of their collectives butts as the Democrats continue their Taxation without Representation garbage. Leading the "Anti-Taxation Without Representation" movement is the Tea Party. Republicans take heed,....the American people will not take anymore of the tax and deficit spending policy which have been the norm for both parties the past nine years.

Cowboy Logic for the Day

"Shallow Minds are Like Shallow Rivers, Both of Them Freeze First"

The Obama Administration and the Democrat controlled House and Senate demonstrate this piece of Cowboy sense in their blind following of ideology trying to ram the Health Care Bill down the throats of American Taxpayers rather than starting over.

No amount of plaster and nail fixes will repair a house built on a faulty foundation or frame. It's best to tear it down and start over.

How did you like Obama on Television telling the American people he like some of the Republican ideas on Health Care, then turn around the tell Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid D-NV and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi D-CA to use "Reconciliation" to steam roll the Republicans? Sets a terrible precedence for the Democrats when the Republicans take over Congress.

Cowboy Logic for the Day

"A Man Who Confesses to Small Faults Hopes You Will Think He Has No Big Ones."

This old Cowboy saying reminds of Charlie Rangel D-NY, re-signing from his Chairmanship on the House Ways and Means Committee, trying to get out of the spotlight and to take the steam out calls for a investigations of his tax cheating ways.

Cowboy Logic for the Day

"The Only Kind of Equality That Counts is Being Equal to the Occasion."

When I hear this saying what comes to mind is the current Administration trying to make everyone equal by taking from those try and succeed to give to those who fail or don't try at all.
