Dempsey trying to shut down Veterans Free Speech. Earlier this year, which we reported on, a group of military special operations veterans formed a group called "OPSEC" from which to critize President Obama over Obama taking credit in killing Osama bin Laden and for the repeated leaks of classified information coming from his Administration intended to support Obama political goals.
In an interview with Fox News, Dempsey said: “If someone uses the uniform, whatever uniform, for partisan politics, I am disappointed because I think it does erode that bond of trust we have with the American people.” Hopefully Dempsey isn't a total idiot. He has to realize that these veterans, now out of uniform and out of the active military are not longer bound by the Hatch Act and have their full first admentment rights restored. This group of veterans, again called OPSEC, are the patriots,.....standing up for what is right and rallying against what is wrong, while Dempsey keeps to his own political agenda trying to supress derogatory information about the Obama Administration. Dempsey also said that such veteran's political commentary "confuses the people". What!?!?
All of this follows General Dempsey rebuking Republican Congressman Ryan for suggesting the military leadership had concerns about President Obama's new goal of another $400 billion in cuts to free up money for domestic spending. Well, someone, and in this case it is Congressman Ryan, had to stand up for the defense of this country since you are doing it. Shame on you General Dempsey.
Perpetuating the Generals Club. Several Army Generals have been in the news in a derogatory fashion recently. being investigated for various crimes.
First it was General William “Kip” Ward, the General in charge of the Africa Command, caught reimbursing himself for personal travel expenses, taking his wife on military aircraft without sufficient justification and allowing his wife to use a government vehicle without authorization. Additionally, General Ward reportedly spent $18,500 on mementos to give as gifts at his change-of-command ceremony, accepted free meals and tickets to a Broadway show from a prohibited source, and committed other related violations.
Secondly Army Brig. General Jeffrey Sinclair, of the 18th Airborne Corps, is accused of having inappropriate relationships with several female subordinates, including forced sodomy. Additionally, Sinclair is up on charges of violating an order, possessing pornography and alcohol while deployed, misusing a government travel charge card and filing fraudulent claims. General Dempsey thinks that General Sinclair should be allowed to retire at his full rak with full benefits. This not only looks like it, but it is perpetuating the Generals Club where these politicians in uniform (we cannot call them warriors, because warriors have an ethos) cover up for each other. Shame on you General Dempsey. If this was an enlisted soldier, you would have his ass.
Supporting Radical Islam over this Country's security. As if covering for his General buddies and trying to supress free speech of veterans wasn't enough, General Dempsey under presure from some 57 Muslim Organizations, shut down a class taught at the Joint Forces Staff College that presented Islam in a negative way.
Earlier this year, Army Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Dooley was condemned by the Joints Chiefs of Staff (JCS) and relieved of his duties teaching classes at the Joint Forces Staff College because these Muslim Organizations petitioned General Dempsey and Dempsey rolled over on his back for them and had Dooley and the anti-Islam class removed.
Not only that, but Lt. Col. Dooley, a highly decorated combat veteran with nearly 20 years of service, received a bad evaluation so his career is effectively ended.
These facts come out after General Dempsey reportedly bad mouthed Dooley on a C-SPAN interview and after it had been revealed that this course taught by Dooley had been previously approved by the the Joint Forces Staff College.
Following Obama's Lead in Pushing Israel Away. Finally, Dempsey steps on it again when he made the comments to the effect , "I don't want to be complicit if Israel choose to attack Iran (to stop their nucelar weapons program)." Some commentators are asking Dempsey to explain these comments, which he has yet to do, and have asked the meaning of his use of the word "complicit". Complicit? As in what? Complicit as in undermining what the Muslim Community wants you to do? After all they were pretty effective in getting you (Dempsey) into standing up for radical Islam by shutting down the course on radical Islam and throwing a decorated officer, Lt. Col. Dempsey to the wolves. Again, shame on you General Dempsey.
