Professor Lovel on SB 1070 and Obama Attack on Arizona

Professor Terry J. Lovell, is a professor (Ph.D.) at Yavapai College in Prescott, Arizona. He makes his points very clear and has a little bit of a different take then what most of us have heard before.

This may be the best video produced on the illegal alien problems that are being experienced. Keep in mind that a requirement for all legal aliens to carry identification is not a heavy lift. In ANY other country in the world that you are a visitor to, you are required to keep identification on your person and failure to do so means jail for you. Also know that one third (1/3) of the cost to our prisons are to keep foreign felons.

What People Are Think About Illegal Immigration - Letters to the Editor

A buddy sent me these letters to the Editor of a Newspaper that were recently published, showing what people are thinking.

Nation of citizens

I'm tired of hearing that America is a nation of immigrants. According to Wikipedia, as of 2009, only 13 percent of our population was foreign-born.

That means that almost 90 percent are native-born.

Yes, America was founded by immigrants 200 years ago. As America grew, so did the need for immigration laws. Yes, many came here before immigration laws existed.

But the obvious need for the citizens to be protected from criminals and the diseased, and institutions from being overwhelmed, brought about these just laws.

America is a nation of citizens. We are a nation of citizens who expect our government to do its main function, protecting our rights as citizens.

Keep standards the same for all

I'm an American citizen and must show ID when:

1. Stopped by law enforcement officers.

2. Making purchases on any department store card.

3. Doctor's visit.

4. When filling out a credit card or loan request.

5. When renewing my driver's license.

6. When applying for any kind of insurance.

7. When filling out college applications.

8. When donating blood.

9. When buying an air fare.

I'm sure there are more instances. The point is that we, as U.S. citizens, are required by law to prove who we are nearly every day.

Why should undocumented immigrants, in this country illegally, be exempt? What makes them so special?

I served two tours of duty in Nam , was wounded and almost died for my country. Why shouldn't we guard our borders as closely as any other nation in the world does?

Go Arizona !

Illegal Immigration

Mexico’s President says the Arizona Immigration Law is a violation of human rights. Compared to Mexican immigration laws it is a walk in the park.

Mexico’s Law mandates that Federal, State and Local Policia cooperate with Federal Immigration Authorities for the arrest of illegal immigrants. In Mexico , it’s a felony to be an illegal immigrant, punishable up to 2 tears in prison. If you re-enter, then it’s a 10 year prison term.

Citizens who help illegal immigrants are considerable criminals.

So whose law is really a heavier toll on humans rights? Calderon is an idiot.

Arizona versus the United States AND the United Nations

Brought to you by Jeff Mazzella, President, Center for Individual Freedom

Barack Obama just invited the United Nations to join his ongoing fight against Arizona and dozens of other states attempting to enforce the immigration laws that he refuses to enforce.

Unfortunately, you read that right. On August 20, the United States, for the first time ever, submitted a 29-page "Universal Periodic Review" (UPR) to the UN Human Rights Council, which outlines a laundry list of human rights abuses allegedly committed by the United States.

Contained within that laundry list of so-called abuses is a direct condemnation of S.B. 1070, legislation enacted by the state of Arizona (and supported by an overwhelming majority of the American people), which seeks to do the job that the federal government has refused to do... secure the border.

Specifically, the Obama Administration wrote in the report: "A recent Arizona law, S.B. 1070, has generated significant attention and debate at home and around the world. The issue is being addressed in a court action that argues that the federal government has the authority to set and enforce immigration law. That action is ongoing; parts of the law are currently enjoined."

The submission of this UPR is the first step in a United Nations review process which will culminate with the issuance of a plan of action, approximately 90 days from now, from a panel of UN bureaucrats
from France, Japan and Cameroon.

At that point, the United States would be expected to "voluntarily" comply with the panel's recommendations, but as the UN Human Rights Council states on its website: "The Human Rights Council will decide on the measures it would need to take in case of persistent non-cooperation by a State..."

In short, Barack Obama has upped the ante. Not content with simply filing a frivolous federal suit against the people of Arizona, Obama has transformed his amnesty feud with the American people into an international human rights cause and effectively placed the people of Arizona (and other states that are considering similar border security bills) under the jurisdiction of a gang of America-hating
United Nations bureaucrats.

Is This UPR A Direct Affront To American Sovereignty? Of course it is.

In fact, when it comes to the sovereignty of the United States, and specifically the desire of the American people to secure our borders, the United Nations has already made its views clear.

In May, a United Nations panel of six so-called "human rights experts" from the United States, Mexico, Kenya, Pakistan and Costa Rica issued a report addressing S.B. 1070 which read, in part: "A disturbing pattern of legislative activity hostile to ethnic minorities and immigrants has been established with the adoption of an immigration law that may allow for police action targeting individuals on the basis of their perceived ethnic origin."

And the UPR itself was actually produced by a literal rogues gallery of the extreme left. According to Doug Hagmann with Canada Free Press: "The report is the product of about a dozen conferences held across the U.S. between January and April 2010. The participants of these conferences featured such luminaries as Stephen Rickard and Wendy Patten from George Soros' Open Society Institute; Devon Chaffee, Human Rights First; Andrea Prasow, Human Rights Watch...among others."

Hagmann adds: "SB 1070 has... now been moved to an international venue and potential international oversight by the United Nations. The stakes for our national sovereignty have been just raised by the submission of this document, which is the first step of 'voluntary compliance' to the provisions of the United Nations' Human Rights Council."

So why is Obama appealing to the United Nations? Internet blogger Ben Johnson perhaps put what is happening before our very eyes in its proper context: "When the Left cannot win at the ballot box... it overrules the people in the courts. Now that Obama is not sure he can prevail in the courts, he has overruled the American people by hauling Arizona and the two-thirds of Americans who support its law before the United Nations."

I'm Mad - You Ought To Be Too!

I’m mad about Politicians on both sides, Democrats and Republicans, that can’t answer a simple question.

Reporter: “Mr Senator,….Are you in favor of extending the Bush Tax Cuts?”

Senator: “Ms Reporter,…We, as a Country need to come together to pass legislation favorable to this country and in line with the combined values that the majority of people, without diminishing the rights of the minorities. Furthermore, I have led the way in bi-partisan efforts to develop a budget that supports ALL Americans not just special interests.”

I’m mad about both parties, Democrats and Republicans, who are say un-true things about the Tea Party Movement. To be sure, the Democrats are much more anti-Tea Party – with comments like the Tea Party is racist, but negative comments are coming from Republicans too. Both parties need to be concerned about the Tea Party Movement and those of us who support the Tea Party’s general views. The Tea Party is conservative but does not support business as usual from either side of the aisle in Congress. These incumbent pol’s need to be anxious, as we saw with the apparent Joe Miller upset over Lisa Murokowski in Alaska. Murkowski would be the seventh incumbent — and fourth Republican — to lose in a year in which the tea party has scored huge victories in GOP Senate primaries and voters have shown a willingness to punish Republicans and a handful of Democrats with ties to Washington and party leadership. Miller is a Gulf War veteran and self-described "constitutional conservative."

I’m mad about Al Sharpton running his mouth about Glenn Beck’s 8/28 rally at the Lincoln Memorial. Glenn specifically wants to make his rally a non-partisan, non-political event, and these idiots like Al Sharpton want to diminish any leverage Glenn has by lying about him and his movement, throwing the race card down time and time again. Hey Al, here’s a tip, - you’re an idiot.

I'm also mad about the liberal media discounting Beck's rally, reporting numbers of people attending in the "tens of thousands" when by most non-partisan accounts those numbers of attendees ran from 500,000 to 600,000. Also disturbing,.....did anyone read any account whatsoever that mentioned Dr Evita King, niece of Dr Martin Luther King, attending and speaking at Beck's Rally? Of course not. The liberal media is controlling what they want the populace to hear.

I’m also mad hearing that John Morton and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have been exponentially reducing prosecutions of illegal aliens and companies that hire them. The ICE current policy is reported to be that if they catch an illegal alien who has been in this country 2 years or more without having a criminal record, then that illegal alien is free to stay – this is de facto amnesty! This is where the Democrats plan on getting hundred of thousands, if not millions, of new voters loyal to the welfare party.

Finally, I still have enough anger left about the State Department sucking up to the United Nations by citing the US Gov't lawsuit against Arizona and their (lawfully enacted) Immigration Law as an example of how the U.S. is protecting civil rights. Make no mistake about it. The Obama Administration has chosen sides over the illegal immigration issue and it ain't with the American Citizens,...they choose to support the illegal aliens over the citizens of Arizona.

Letter to the Editor - Los Angeles Times

The following was a letter to the editor of the LA Times. I must say he is a little ticked off, as if you can't tell. Letters to the Editor are great,.there is always going to be some butt head who exposes himself or herself as an idiot, giving us a target. That's if the paper publishes your rebuttal,....

Hector,

I can't believe that a major metropolitan paper like the LA Times would publish drivel like your distortion-laden column I had the misfortune to read today. The citizens of Arizona passed a law that makes it necessary to prove you are in their state LEGALLY. They are tired of paying TWO BILLION taxpayer dollars a year in medical and educational benefits to people in their state ILLEGALLY. They are tired of the Mexican drug traffickers, kidnappings (389 last year), traffic accidents, and crime caused by ILLEGAL immigrants in their state. They are tired of citizens of a foreign country overcrowding and bankrupting their emergency rooms and schools. They have the ABSOLUTE RIGHT to defend their state when the federal government fails to do so just like I have the right to put three hollow-points in the chest of the guy who's trying to kick in my front door when the cops don't show up.

It has been THE LAW in this country since 1940 that foreign nationals be able to produce proof that they are here LEGALLY by way of visa, green card, etc. This "Produce your papers" and the allusions to Nazi Germany is a bunch of dishonest claptrap. If you took time to read the Arizona law (assuming you can read English) you would see that police officers may only inquire as to an individual’s immigration status in the course of a "legal contact". The problem with you and Mexicans like you is the fact that you have this sense of entitlement that you can enter OUR COUNTRY as you please. You come from a culture and a country with NO RESPECT for the law or the RULE OF LAW. The United States is a sovereign nation with the ABSOLUTE RIGHT to decide who does and does not enter our country.

What amuses me the most is the fact that if our illegal immigration problem was due to the influx of SWEDES, you wouldn't have written ONE WORD in the defense of their rights. It is only because they are Hispanics like you that you leap to their defense. I find it ironic that you are truer to your Hispanic roots than you are to your American citizenship, especially since the Hispanic culture is a broken, busted-ass, ignorant-ass, uneducated, going-nowhere culture and has been for the last 500 years, and in all likelihood, will be for the NEXT 500 years.

When I moved to California in 1969, Los Angeles was a CLEAN prosperous city. Now it's BROKE under the weight of massive entitlements. Now we need concertina wire to protect our freeway signs from Hispano-moron graffiti "artists'. What an enlightened culture you come from that believes that vandalizing another’s property is an art form. Over 400 California families have lost loved ones to ILLEGAL immigrant murderers. 40% of the criminals incarcerated in our prisons at CALIFORNIA TAXPAYER EXPENSE, are ILLEGAL immigrants. Thank you so much for our overcrowded ERs, schools and freeways. Thanks also for the gangs and the drive-by shootings. In all fairness though, I like the tacos.

If I want to enter Mexico , France , England , Germany or ANY country on this earth, I need to PRODUCE A PASSPORT to do so. It's THEIR COUNTRY and I need to ask permission to do so. HOW DARE you and your brethren think that they have some God-given right to flout our laws and come into our country of their own accord. You and people like you are the textbook example of why the fewer Mexicans we have in our country, the better our country will be. We manage to produce a steady supply of home-grown idiots on our own, thank very much (Exhibit A - Obama)

Good luck with your boycotts and your protests. Just remember; amigo, 70% of the people in Arizona and 65% of Americans LOVE this law. Every time you put together thousands of protesters, you piss off MILLIONS of people like me.

Hasta la vista, baby.

Tom Edwards

Have You Read the Arizona Immigration Law? If not, then you should not have anything to say about it. Take a clue from the below video,..."Reading is Swell."

Illegal Immigration in Arizona - the Untold Story

With the left spinning the new Arizona Illegal Immigration Law as a racist, profiling, anti-Constitution measure that will only target Hispanics, and their real agenda being Immigration Reform in the form of another Amnesty -cause after all, the Leftists proclaim, the immigrant criminals are very few and the vast majority of undocumented immigrants (see how they change terms to give a perception?) are just here to make their life better and to do jobs Americans won't. Well that's just Bull Crap across the board.

Here are a couple of pictures the main stream media won't show you are vast tracks of land, much of it privately owned, that are trashed because of illegal immigrants. Not only do they tear down fences and leave gates open, they leave trash, not just clothing, water bottles, food wrappers, just also large amounts of human waste to pollute their path. This is not just one area,...this is across the border in Arizona.

Report from Cochise County, Arizona

By T.J. Woodard

Being an avid AT reader, and living on the Arizona border in Cochise County, I thought I would provide those who wish to be informed some insight into the truth about the state of the U.S.-Mexican border -- at least in this part of the state.

I moved to Cochise County after retiring from the Army in 2008 to take a position working at Fort Huachuca (pronounced "wa-choo-ka," an Apache word meaning "place of thunder" and referring to the time after the summer monsoon season). Having lived here in 1991 for eight months while attending an Army school, I soon realized that the place had changed considerably in the eighteen years of my absence

The first thing I noticed was how many border patrol vehicles were on the roads in the city of Sierra Vista (SV). The Border Patrol has a large station near here in the city of Naco. There are far more Border Patrol vehicles in the area than SV police cars. They come in many forms -- trucks for off-road work, trailers carrying all-terrain vehicles, pickups with capacity for carrying large numbers of people once apprehended, and even a staff car for the area chaplain. The Border Patrol presence has grown substantially, so one would think the border area was nice and safe.

Not so. Within a short time after arriving in southern Arizona while on my way to work, I noticed eight illegal immigrants on the side of the road. Fortunately, they were in the custody of capable and attentive Border Patrol agents. Unfortunately, they were less than a hundred feet from my daughter's bus stop. She gets personal service to school now, as the school district refuses to enter the gated community in which we live. There is a nice wash, a valley into which the rainwater drains during the monsoons, which provides a nice route for the illegals to follow into the city, and therefore into their locations for pickup by the vehicles that will get them farther north.

Later, after I attended a movie on a Friday night, a car passed by me in the next lane going nearly a hundred miles an hour. It took a few seconds before I saw the police behind -- way behind -- with lights and sirens, trying to catch up.

Surprise, surprise -- the next morning's paper discussed a Mexican drug runner being caught by County Sheriff's Deputies. On several occasions, the Border Patrol's helicopter has flown low and slow over the neighborhood, rattling windows and shining its spotlight in our backyard. When this happens, I strap on my pistol, grab a flashlight, and look and listen. Fortunately, I haven't found anybody within a hundred yards of the house -- yet.

Working on a U.S. Army fort, one would think we were fairly secure from these threats. Just not true. Reading the Fort Huachuca newspaper one morning, I noticed an interesting part of the "community" page. It asked for volunteers to assist in cleaning up "dumps" on posts where the illegals would drop their supplies used to cross the border and change clothing. They do this in order to blend in and not look like they just spent a day or two crossing the border in the dust and heat of southern Arizona. The most frightening part of this is that Fort Huachuca is the U.S. Army Intelligence Center, where the Army trains its intelligence soldiers -- analysts, interrogators, radio intercept specialists, and counterintelligence agents -- for operations overseas. If we can't secure the fort we use to train our intelligence soldiers, how can we secure anything else?

Much has been discussed about the new law in Arizona making it unlawful to be in Arizona in violation of federal immigration statutes. However, much less has been discussed about the shooting of rancher Robert Krentz. Robert was killed on his ranch on March 28, 2010. His ranch, on which the family began grazing cattle in 1907 (Arizona became a state in 1912), is a large, 35,000-acre area in remote Cochise County. It is so remote that the original Cochise, an Apache leader, used the mountainous terrain near it to hide from the U.S. Cavalry in the early 1870s. But much less is being said about the eight illegal immigrants and their load of 280 pounds of marijuana seized the day before Krentz was killed.

So Arizona should be boycotted because its people would like to keep it safe? Somebody please explain the logic of that for me. It doesn't take a bullet from a drug runner's gun to make those of us down here near the border understand that this is drug-related violence -- and Rob's death proves it.

It also doesn't take much more reading to see that the drug dealers are a huge problem with far-reaching capabilities. On April 27, 2010, a large drug bust took place here in Cochise County. Among those arrested was Angelica Marie Borquez, the secretary for the Drug Enforcement Division of the Cochise County Attorney office. Allegedly, Ms. Borquez was tipping off the drug runners to counter drug operations conducted by the county. She was so bold that she used the phone in the County Attorney's office to make some of her calls.

This isn't a blatant effort by drug cartels to obtain control here in America?

Many have already called Arizona residents racists. They are concerned that police will profile Hispanics and disproportionally harass them. But we understand something others in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco don't seem to remember -- we border Mexico. The fact is that most illegal immigrants coming across the border here are, well, Mexicans. Those of us down here facing the danger every day really don't care what some Hollywood actor has to say about the issue. Nor do we care about what the Colombian government or the Latino music community thinks of it. We just want to stay safe.

This is not about race; it's about facts. Use a few of these facts the next time somebody wants to engage you in discussion about the border. Tell him you learned these things from somebody who can see Mexico from his front porch.

T.J. Woodard is a retired Army officer who lives less than ten miles from the Mexican border. He carries a pistol even in his own house in order to be prepared to defend his family whenever necessary.

Message From Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen

I'm Arizona State Senator Sylvia Allen. I want to explain SB 1070 which I voted for and was just signed by Governor Jan Brewer.

Rancher Rob Krantz was murdered by the drug cartel on his ranch a month ago. I participated in a senate hearing two weeks ago on the border violence, here is just some of the highlights from those who testified.

The people who live within 60 to 80 miles of the Arizona/Mexico Border have for years been terrorized and have pleaded for help to stop the daily invasion of humans who cross their property . One Rancher testified that 300 to 1200 people a DAY come across his ranch vandalizing his property, stealing his vehicles and property, cutting down his fences, and leaving trash. In the last two years he has found 17 dead bodies and two Koran bibles.

Another rancher testified that daily drugs are brought across his ranch in a military operation. A point man with a machine gun goes in front, 1/2 mile behind are the guards fully armed, 1/2 mile behind them are the drugs, behind the drugs 1/2 mile are more guards. These people are violent and they will kill anyone who gets in the way. This was not the only rancher we heard that day that talked about the drug trains.

One man told of two illegal's who came upon his property one shot in the back and the other in the arm by the drug runners who had forced them to carry the drugs and then shot them. Daily they listen to gun fire during the night it is not safe to leave his family alone on the ranch and they can't leave the ranch for fear of nothing being left when they come back.

The border patrol is not on the border. They have set up 60 miles away with check points that do nothing to stop the invasion. They are not allowed to use force in stopping anyone who is entering. They run around chasing them, if they get their hands on them then they can take them back across the border.

Federal prisons have over 35% illegal's and 20% of Arizona prisons are filled with illegal's. In the last few years 80% of our law enforcement that have been killed or wounded have been by an illegal.

The majority of people coming now are people we need to be worried about. The ranchers told us that they have seen a change in the people coming they are not just those who are looking for work and a better life.

The Federal Government has refused for years to do anything to help the border states . We have been over run and once they are here we have the burden of funding state services that they use. Education cost have been over a billion dollars. The healthcare cost billions of dollars. Our State is broke, $3.5 billion deficit and we have many serious decisions to make. One is that we do not have the money to care for any who are not here legally. It has to stop.

The border can be secured. We have the technology we have the ability to stop this invasion. We must know who is coming and they must come in an organized manner legally so that we can assimilate them into our population and protect the sovereignty of our country. We are a nation of laws. We have a responsibility to protect our citizens and to protect the integrity of our country and the government which we live under.

I would give amnesty today to many, but here is the problem, we dare not do this until the Border is secure. It will do no good to forgive them because thousands will come behind them and we will be over run to the point that there will no longer be the United States of America but a North American Union of open borders. I ask you what form of government will we live under? How long will it be before we will be just like Mexico , Canada or any of the other Central American or South American countries? We have already lost our language, everything must be printed in Spanish also. We have already lost our history it is no longer taught in our schools. And we have lost our borders.

The leftist media has distorted what SB 1070 will do. It is not going to set up a Nazi Germany . Are you kidding. The ACLU and the leftist courts will do everything to protect those who are here illegally, but it was an effort to try and stop illegal's from setting up businesses, and employment, and receiving state services and give the ability to local law enforcement when there is probable cause like a traffic stop to determine if they are here legally. Federal law is very clear if you are here on a visa you must have your papers on you at all times. That is the law. In Arizona all you need to show you are a legal citizen is a driver license, MVD identification card, Native American Card, or a Military ID. This is what you need to vote, get a hunting license, etc.. So nothing new has been added to this law. No one is going to be stopped walking down the street etc... The Socialist who are in power in DC are angry because we dare try and do something and that something the Socialist wants us to do is just let them come. They want the "Transformation" to continue.

Maybe it is too late to save America . Maybe we are not worthy of freedom anymore. But as an elected official I must try to do what I can to protect our Constitutional Republic . Living in America is not a right just because you can walk across the border. Being an American is a responsibility and it comes by respecting and upholding the Constitution the law of our land which says what you must do to be a citizen of this country. Freedom is not free.

Arizona Boycott? May be just what Arizona needs

The news article from news.com, dated August 2009, was sent to me earlier this week. I debated posting the article since some people may throw down the race card as many wrong thinking protesters have been protesting the Arizona law as racially oriented towards Mexicans who make up the vast majority of illegal aliens in this country and majority of minorities living along the Southwest Border.

I decided to post it, since I am not a racist. I think Mexican's and other Hispanic immigrants from Central and South America have contributed significantly to this country.  Aspects of their culture have greatly enriched the Heinz 57 breed of all us Americans. There  But they did so willingly assimilating to the melting pot of American culture not trying to get special privileges or entitlements, nor bashing the hands that provides an environment where pursuit of happiness is a God given right. Some of the biggest detractors of illegal immigrants, or those liberals spouting privileges under the banner of "rights", are Mexican-Americans who came here legally and worked hard to establish a good life for themselves and their children.

SO the experiences of small businesses in Victoria Texas, maybe just what small businesses in Arizona may benefit from in protest of the Arizona Illegal Immigration Law.

Have They No Shame!

Boy am I ticked off! Mad as hell with all these groups protesting the recent Arizona Law that was enacted to allow local and State Law Enforcement to question a person's immigration status, if Law Enforcement has reasonable suspicion to suspect an illegal immigrant during the conduct of a legal stop.

It doesn't help that some people on Television or the idiots doing the protesting don't know a thing about the law and in particular "Reasonable Suspicion". Reasonable Suspicion is the articulable belief that a Law Enforcement Officer believes a crime has been committed or is in the process of being committed. Arizona's new law does not permit racial profiling to be used in the basis for reasonable suspicion. Only the questioning of immigration or citizenship status if you are stop from another law enforcement action such as an investigative stop for another crime, a legal detention or an arrest.

If you get pulled over by a Cop because you had a break light out, you got stopped because the Officer had Probable Cause you had broken a statute (he saw the brake light inoperable and that is against a State's Motor Vehicle code).

If a Cop pulls over a pickup truck 2 miles NORTH of the border, heading NORTH, at 2 am, on a known smuggling route, and the truck's rear end is barely off the tires looking like the bed is over loaded, then this is called Reasonable Suspicion that a crime (alien or narcotics smuggling) is being committed.

However the Liberals and other Idiots want to ignore the law and the facts and throw the race card down over and over again.

Did you know that yesterday an Arizona Sheriffs Deputy was shot by an Illegal Alien Marijuana Smuggler with an AK-47? This incident follows the murder of Douglas, Arizona rancher Bob Krentz by another illegal alien. You can see why the people of Arizona had to act. They just want the law followed. To everyone who wants open borders, I suggest you remove all the locks on the doors and windows of your house.

How are these protestors want around and call for a boycott of Arizona! Here's a gem of a quote by Lee Siu Hin, a coordinator with the National Immigrant Soldarity Network: "What happened in Arizona proves that racism and anti-immigrant hysteria across the country still exists". WHAT PART OF THE WORD ILLEGAL DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND, YOU NIMROD!

Now the liberal, socialist bent Democrats in Congress are going to solve the problem with a incredibly radical new Immigration bill that even CNN, yes CNN! thinks is stupid. COntact your legislators and tell them you won't stand for it. They probably won't care, cause most of them are getting removed this November or in 2012.
Do not watch the following video is you have a heart condition.
