Cain Blasted on Anita Hill Comment

Herman Cain is defending himself from sexual harassment allegations, but that didn't stop him from joking about Anita Hill, the college professor who made similar allegations against Clarence Thomas during his Supreme Court nomination hearings 20 years ago.

A Fox News camera captured Cain laughing about Hill during a campaign stop in Kalamazoo, Mich., Thursday, when a supporter brought up the professor's name.

"You hear the latest news today? Anita Hill is going to come …" a man told Cain, the conclusion of his statement muffled by the crowd.

"Is she going to endorse me?" Cain joked, as he and the crowd laughed heartily.

(watch the video here)

I am thinking "so what"? People are attacking Cain for this?! Cain did not introduce Anita Hill's name (which is obviously not a name that is backed up with a lot of credibility since her baseless attacks on another conservative black public figure - now Associate Justice Clarence Thomas), ...ohh,..but I am getting off track here,......again, Herman Cain did not bring up Hill's name,.... some reporter did, and Cain made a facetious (and funny) comment. If you have problems with this - go stick your head in a toilet......as a bus station.

So now this event adds to the plate of rotten vegetables the liberal media is using to drive Herman Cain off the Presidential Candidate podium. Rational people have got to ask, "Why is the liberal media much harder on Cain than anyone else?" The other black presidential candidate this decade, Barack Obama, received not only an absolute pass from the media, but this "objective" media championed his agenda as well, giving him a pass on everything from citizenship issues to lack of experience.

The reason I think Herman Cain is such a target is that the Liberal-Leftist society of this country is scared to death of a black man with conservative views holding such a position. This would surely rock the very foundation of the liberal think-speak, which bases one of the foundation platforms on the concept that white conservative America is to blame for the poor economic condition of black America. The liberal-leftist establishment needs for black America to believe this, so they continue to get the vast majority of black-Americans voting Democratic. Herman Cain explains this best when he says words to the effects "that he left the
Democratic Plantation long ago."

Cowboy's Comment on Current News - Nov 10th, 2011

Rick Perry’s Debate Debacle. Last night Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) apparently pooped in his bed when he flubbed his answer for what three government agencies he would get rid of if he were President. It’s actually pretty damn funny. Readers of this site will recognize that I’m not pushing for a Rick Perry nomination as the Republican candidate for President. I think Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich are mush better candidates, however really anyone would be a better President than the guy we have in office now,….even Joe the Plumber. The only excuse I would put forth for Perry is that he is a sitting Governor and has much more current responsibilities than anyone else on the debate stage, which greatly minimizes his preparation time. I just saying,...

Continued Attacks on Cain. This is the subject that makes my blood boil the most these past few days. About every liberal and leftist scum bag (there I go being overly redundant again) is attacking Cain on the sexual harassment allegations. These are the same losers and apologists when Clinton, Barney Frank, Anthony Weiner and other Dems were accused about sexual harassment, sexual assault and pornographic tendencies.

Some of the black commentators are fomenting racial division by claiming that the “rich, white” republicans will be furious with Herman Cain for sexual harassing a white, blonde woman. They call Cain “the Republican’s one Black friend”. Lost on at least 40% of the population,…….. mainly liberals, leftists, socialists and welfare cheats,……. is the undeniable fact that the only racists in today’s America are those liberals, leftists, socialists and welfare cheats who use racism and the threat of branding people as racists in order to validate their ideology.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Aka the stimulus money pit or the Chris Dodd-Barney Frank fleecing of America . After Fannie Mae received $112.6 Billion in stimulus money (courtesy of the taxpayers of course), made necessary for Dodd and Frank’s extensive lobbying against financial oversight of these institutions, now Fannie is asking for another $7.8 Billion in federal aid. When is the Federal Government and especially the spending addicted Democrats going figure out that throwing good money after bad is not to fix anything. And not only is it not going to fix anything, it is going to make things worse.

The Public Likes Herman Cain's Message

Over this past weekend I was talking to several different people about county and city politics when the discussion turned to national politics. In a group of six people (myself, a school teacher, a technical college instructor, a state highway patrol officer, an office manager and a commercial construction company supervisor) all of us agreed that Herman Cain was the best candidate that has surfaced to lead this country. Two of these people even admitted they had voted for Obama!

A recent article from the internet says Herman Cain is firing up the crowd, all over the country, at a tea party and other rallies. In one West Tennessee town, Cain was speaking when the generator powering his sound system shudders to a halt.

Cain stands awkwardly for a few moments then suddenly begins to sing. Slowly at first but gaining in speed, he belts out "Impossible Dream" in the rich baritone he's honed in church choir. "You know, when it's your rally, you can do what you want to do!" Cain says as he finishes with a raucous laugh. The 500 or so supporters who have jammed the strip mall parking lot to hear the Republican Party's newest star speak roar their approval.

Momentum restored, Cain launches into a pitch for his signature 9-9-9 tax plan, and the crowd is right there with him, chanting 9-9-9 along with the Georgia businessman. The 65-year-old's improbable campaign for the presidency is all about momentum right now. How does he maintain the wave he's riding in recent polls that have catapulted him from an also-ran in the GOP race to the elite top tier?

There are many reasons his bid could fade as quickly as it rose. He acknowledged Friday that he will trail former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Texas Gov. Rick Perry significantly in fundraising. Cain has never held elected office and could wilt under the rigors of the campaign trail and withering scrutiny coming his way.

But Cain's moment is right now, and his everyman image is resonating.

"In the field right now, he's the most like me," said Jimmy Hoppers, a 60-year-old physician from Jackson, who was hoping to meet Cain so he could hand deliver a $1,000 donation to his campaign. "He's run a business and paid the bills. He's authentic."

On Friday night Cain, who is African-American, drew about 2,000 people — some in workshirts and overalls and nearly all white — to a feed barn in rural Waverly, Tennessee. This is a socially conservative country and Cain — ever the salesman — knows his audience. He closes by invoking God and singing the hymn "He Looked Beyond My Faults." "I love him," gushed truck driver James Bland after Cain spoke. "He doesn't talk down to you. I think he gets the working man."

"And it makes me so happy that he's put God back into things," chimed in Bland's wife, Karen. In a year of anti-government fervor, Cain is casting himself as the anti-politician Main Street candidate who would bring common-sense business know-how to the bureaucratic thick of Washington. The former conservative radio show host is brash and straight-talking, saying that "stupid people are ruining America." He mimics liberals with a high-pitched whiny voice.

"Well, he doesn't have foreign policy experience," he says to laughs. "And the guy we have in there now does?"

Cain doesn't ignore the race issue, saying that some critics have called him "a racist" and an "Oreo" for leaving the "Democrat plantation."

"I have grown up telling it like it is and I am going to continue to tell it like it is," he said at a campaign rally in a suburb of Memphis, where he was born. "I don't talk politician."

Voters are responding. He drew large and enthusiastic crowds Friday as he kicked off a two-day bus tour in Tennessee, hopscotching to a trio of tea party events across the state. Tea party activists make up the backbone of Cain's support and he speaks their language fluently. "My fellow patriots," he begins some sentences. References to freedom and liberty pepper his remarks. He dives into an anecdote about the Constitution and takes a jab at President Barack Obama. "You know what? I kinda like my guns and my Bible," he says.

And at every turn, he stresses his business background, noting that at a recent debate fellow Republican candidates dismissed his 9-9-9 tax plan as politically dead on arrival.

"Politicians put together things that will pass. Businessmen put together plans that solve the problems," he said.

Indeed, Cain's 9-9-9 plan seems to have put him on the map.

Following the rally in Jackson, Cain bolted off the stage and shook hands with onlookers, including Linda Fowler-Cole, who had wandered over after a shopping trip to Lowe's and was wearing a T-shirt with an oversized picture of Obama. (Jesus. what guts that took with what that fool has done to this country).

"I heard the 9-9-9 guy was here and I came to take a look," the Democrat said. "I like Obama, but that 9-9-9 is catchy."

In Bartlett, Tenn., Cain drew a number of black supporters who were excited at the prospect of a conservative African-American of his stature. "To me he represents what Martin Luther King was talking about when he talked about his dream," Reginald Tooley, a 49-year-old physical therapist from Memphis, said. "With hard work and self-reliance you can do anything you want."

Cain says he has been buoyed by support from regular folks. "You just don't know how much this encourages me, the fact that you all came out tonight," he said in
Waverly. "You see, this is what the folks in D.C. don't get because they don't come out here to meet with you."

Herman Cain - An Impressive Resume

What you may not know about Herman Cain who is running for president......Thanks Tom for sending. Herman Cain is NOT a career politician (in fact he has never held political office). Mr Cain has been quoted as saying "All we have sent to Washington D.C. is politicians,.....how has that worked out for us so far?" He’s known as a pizza guy, but there’s a lot more to him. He’s also a computer guy, a banker guy, and a rocket scientist guy......and Cowboy's hope that he will be the President guy.

Here’s his bio:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
* Master’s degree in Computer Science.
* Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist).
* Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
* VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury (this is the top of the ladder in the computer world, being in charge of information systems for a major corporation).

All achieved before reaching the age of 35. Since he reached the top of the information systems world, he changed careers!

* Business Manager. Took charge of Pillsbury’s 400 Burger King restaurants in the Philadelphia area, which were the company’s poorest performers in the country. Spent the first nine months learning the business from the ground up, cooking hamburger and yes, cleaning toilets. After three years he had turned them into the company’s best performers.
* Godfather’s Pizza CEO. Was asked by Pillsbury to take charge of their Godfather’s Pizza chain (which was on the verge of bankruptcy). He made it profitable in 14 months.
* In 1988 he led a buyout of the Godfather’s Pizza chain from Pillsbury. He was now the owner of a restaurant chain. Again he reached the top of the ladder of another industry.
* He was also chairman of the National Restaurant Association during this time. This is a group that interacts with government on behalf of the restaurant industry, and it gave him political experience from the non-politician side.

Having reached the top of a second industry, he changed careers again!

* Adviser to the Federal Reserve System. Herman Cain went to work for the Federal Reserve Banking System advising them on how monetary policy changes would affect American businesses.
* Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. He worked his way up to the chairmanship of a regional Federal Reserve bank. This is only one step below the chairmanship of the entire Federal Reserve System (the top banking position in the country). This position allowed him to see how monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the political forces that impact the monetary system.

After reaching the top of the banking industry, he changed careers for a fourth time!

* Writer and public speaker. He then started to write and speak on leadership. His books include Speak as a Leader, CEO of Self, Leadership is Common Sense, and They Think You’re Stupid.
* Radio Host. Around 2007—after a remarkable 40 year career—he started hosting a radio show on WSB in Atlanta (the largest talk radio station in the country).

He did all this starting from rock bottom (his father was a chauffeur and his mother was a maid). When you add up his accomplishments in his life—including reaching the top of three unrelated industries: information systems, business management, and banking—

STACK THAT UP AGAINST THE 'COMMUNITY ORGANIZER'....

Herman Cain may have the most impressive resume of anyone that has run for the presidency in the last half century.

And on top of that, he seemingly won the Republican debate on Tuesday 11 October.

Chris Moody of The Ticket wrote on Yahoo! News:

There was one clear winner from Tuesday's Republican presidential debate, based on the simple metrics of name recognition: businessman Herman Cain's "9-9-9 Plan."

Virtually all the candidates at the debate table had something to say about Cain's plan to replace the tax code with three, flat nine-percent federal taxes on consumption, business and income. Cain, once delegated to the remote wings of the debate stage, has enjoyed a surge in the polls ever since he won the straw poll in Orlando, Fla., last month, and at the first debate since he joined former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Texas Gov. Rick Perry in the top tier, Cain and his policy proposals took up more of the debate's time than the ideas floated by any other candidate.

Of course, this isn't to say that any of them praised Cain's idea. Far from it. In fact, everyone who had an opportunity took shots at the plan.

Former Utah Gov. Huntsman reduced it to "a catchy phrase" and joined former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum in saying it would never be signed into law.

Cowboy's Comment: Cain's response to Santorum,......"That's how politician's think,.....what can and cannot be signed into law because of politics. I'm a businessman,....I think of what HAS to be done."

Who Are The Racists?

Every since Herman Cain recently said words to the effect that Blacks are brain washed in voting for Democrats, there has been a national debate on television news and somewhat in the printed media about which party best supports Black Americans.

There is no doubt that common perception is the the Republicans are the party of rich white people and the Democrats are the party for the poor, middle class and minorities. Well, in this case the truth does not lie in the middle......it is on the other end of the perception. Republicans are the ones since Abe Lincoln who have stood up for minorities, voting for the civil right act, cutting the bottom tax rates, using the military to enforce desegregation. The Democrats are the party who tried to kill the Civil Rights act, elected a former KKK member as Senator (the name Robert Byrd ring a bell?).

The Democrats have long tried and been overall successful as billing conservatives as "racists". In fact, in recent years the "race card" or making everything a racial debate as been successful in furthering Democrat policies and objectives. The Tea Party has been vilified as racists when in fact, you need to look no further than their overwhelming support for Herman Cain as proof that the Tea Party
movement is not about race.

Compare that to Democrat lawmakers who complain that Conservative calls for drug screening as a pre-requisite for welfare are racist. "Racist? How so you ask?" "Because it is clearly designed to keep welfare payments to Blacks", cry the Democrats. "Not unless you prejudge Blacks as drug users", says common sense.

Other elements or examples of racial themes are the concept that Barack Obama, being a Black man (actually he is half black but that's no different one way or another), would never garner enough white votes to get elected, especially with his lack of experience in anything but community organizing. Well, the election in November of 2008 sure proved that wrong. Now balance that with the fact that over 92% of Black American's voted for Obama. Now, who are the racists? In this case, voting their race rather than the best candidate.

Enter Herman Cain, a highly successful businessman, news and talk radio commentator, survivor of Stage IV cancer and former Federal Reserve Chairman. His view on the "brainwashing" of blacks is that through entitlements and set asides, the Democrats have been creating a false truth that the Dems, and only the Dems, are the party that is looking out for minorities. Herman Cain calls this something to the effect of "keeping blacks on the government plantation". And I think a responsible person would agree that this is "Giving a Man a Fish so he can eat today (and become dependant upon you)" concept as opposed to "Teaching Him to fish so he can catch his own fish every day and take care of himself and his family" philosophy.

Herman Cain Ssuprises Some in Florida Straw Poll Win

Watching the last debates I sorta thought Rick Santorum did well. I thought Romney held his ground or dipped slightly. Thought Bachmann did not hurt herself. Rick Perry obviously and self admittedly did fairly poor. Gary Johnston apparently took his Prozac which helped him appear as less the goof. Ron Paul,..well Ron Paul is Ron Paul and he did less well than previous debates.

I thought my favorite, Herman Cain, did good, not outstndling but good, and I liked his complimentary comment's about Newt Gingich. As Newt Gingich may be the smartest candidate on the stage. And we admit that straw polls, are worth about the same as straw in goat mangers, but it is heartening to see Herman Cain as the winner of the Florida straw poll.

Don't let it fool you that Bachmann and Romney stated they are not participating in the straw poll. They feared a poor showing that would diminish their message and their standing, but their names were added anyway and they did not do so well.

The Numbers:

Herman Cain 37%
Rick Perry 15%
Mitt Romney 14%

Romney only 14% and in third place after his campaign has been off the ground for basically three years as opposed to just three months or so for Cain and 5 weeks for Perry.

Lets Raise Some Cain! - Herman Cain on the Political Rise

Herman Cain top the Town Hall straw poll for the Republican Presidential choice in May 2011 - still 18 months away from the 2012 election, but surprising none the less for Cain is a political newcomer. In fact, a lot of mainstream, old guard Republicans are challenging Cain on his lack of experience, saying his lack of political experience will hurt. Cain's response is "....that's all you have in Washington D.C. is politicians, and how has that worked out for us so far?" Good Point, Mr. Cain.

This is what Town Hall and other sites are saying about Herman Cain,...and oh by the way, what a great name,....it lends itself to nicknames like Herminator,...or HurriCain,....or a slogan,...Jump on the Herman Cain Train.

2012 hopeful and former Godfather pizza CEO Herman Cain is the hottest thing in Republican presidential politics. Cain, a businessman who served as the CEO of Godfather's pizza chain, has been winning over converts with his fiery rhetorical flourishes and non-political background.

He was widely judged to have emerged as the winner from last month's presidential debate, which included, among others, former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty. And a new Gallup poll showed Cain receiving a surprisingly strong eight percent support, putting him ahead of nationally-known candidates like Rick Santorum and Michele Bachmann.

And, he was the most searched-for GOP candidate on Yahoo! in the last month by far, overtaking Ron Paul from the previous month.

While Cain is opening lots of Republican eyes, he's not exactly new to politics.
In 1994, he became a conservative hero when he confronted then President Bill Clinton at a nationally televised health care town hall in Omaha, Nebraska. Ten years later, Cain ran in a Senate primary in Georgia against a Republican Congressman who enjoyed the backing of the political establishment. He won just 26 percent of the vote.

So can Cain keep it up? He is the most charismatic candidate in the field -- he calls himself the Herminator -- and is a favorite of the tea party movement.

But, he's still little known by Republican voters nationally and could struggle to stay financially competitive with people like former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty.

Cain is rising at the moment. But he'll need a top three finish in Iowa's caucuses next year to be truly taken seriously.

Republican Presidental Debate - South Carolina, May 5th, 2011

Just finished watching the first of many Republican Presidential debates. The surprising news is which Republican candidates or presumed candidates did not show up, and of the five who did, which one won.

Those of us watching on Television or sitting in the auditorium in South Carolina watched Ron Paul, Herman Cain, Tim Pawlenty, Rick Santorium and Gary Johnson answer questions.

Michelle Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin and Donald Trump skipped this debate for various reasons. What they learned is that skipping this debate was a mistake.

The focus group as well as several political observers almost unanimously said that this debate winner was Herman Cain (my winner as well) and that Romney, Huckabee, Bachmann, etc. now have to work extra hard to prove they belong in the field. In fact, the Fox News focus group of 29 people had about 22 supporting Herman Cain, a overwhelming majority and especially significant when most of the people did not know him prior to this debate. By my count Rick Santorium came in second.

While again I had Herman Cain coming out on top, I think Rick Santorium made the case for his conservatives creds and record as a Senator from Pennsylvania. Ron Paul, while having the Tea Party support (from which I count myself a member) comes across as too whiny and weak on foreign policy....but I do like his unrelenting State Rights positions. I could support former Minnesota Governor Pawlenty if he is the candidate. And I think we should all hope that former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson skips town.

Herman Cain, Businessman

Rick Santorium, former Senator (R-PA)

Tim Pawlenty, former Governor (R-MN)

Ron Paul, Congressman (R-TX)

Gary Johnson, former Governor (R-NM)

Interesting Conservative - Herman Cain

I saw a interesting new conservative on Fox News Friday night...new to me anyway. Herman Cain who was announcing that he was exploring a bid for the Republican nomination for President in 2012. Mr Cain expressed a belief in smaller government, revamping of social programs to eliminate dependancy and all the things that conservatives should believe. He also stated that he was a conservative first and republican second, which of course was an immediate hit with me.

I wish this gentleman good luck if he decides to run. The more true conservatives we have in the initial pool for the Presidential nomination, the better choices we have and the more conservative the platform and discussion becomes. You can make up your own mind about him, but at least he has tons more executive experience than Obama had when he took office....well, who doesn't? Watch the video from the 2009 Georgia state republican convention.

This is biographical information from Herman Cain's website:

Raised in Georgia, Cain adopted the lessons of his parents - dedication to hard work and the importance of faith - and carried them with him to the pinnacle of the corporate world. Cain earned a degree in mathematics from Morehouse College in 1967 and later earned a master's degree in computer science from Purdue University, while working as a mathematician for the Department of the Navy. He then worked as a business analyst for The Coca-Cola Company. In 1968, he married his wife, Gloria and they have two grown children.

Subsequently Mr. Cain worked for The Pillsbury Company, and within three years, at the age of 34, rose to the position of Vice President of Corporate Systems and Services. Cain, reflecting his father's drive to seek greater challenges, then set his sights on a corporate presidency.

With this goal ahead of him and his mother's faith to support him, Cain resigned his senior position and started on another career path - the restaurant industry. He started from the ground up by making hamburgers at Pillsbury's Burger King division. Nine months later, he was managing 400 Burger King units in the Philadelphia region, the country's poorest performer. Within three years, his region had earned the reputation for excellence and was the company's best.

In 1986, Pillsbury appointed Cain to the presidency of the then financially troubled Godfather's Pizza, Inc. chain headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. In 14 short months, under Cain's leadership, the chain regained profitability. In 1988, he led his executive team in a buyout of the company from Pillsbury.

Cain was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association in 1988. In 1994 to 1995, he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. While leading this association, he developed the organization into a pro-business voice via national debates and speeches concerning health care reform, employment policies, and taxation. Following this experience, he was appointed to serve on the Economic Growth and Tax Reform Commission in addition to serving as Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He then became a senior advisor to the 1996 Dole/Kemp campaign for the Presidency.

Herman Cain continued the responsibilities of President and Chairman of Godfather's Pizza, Incorporated, while beginning a second career delivering national keynote speeches. Using his messages as the foundation, he created his own leadership consulting company, The THE New Voice, Inc. THE New Voice packages his speaking and develops his products, including books, DVDs, CDs of gospel music, and promotes his keynote speeches. He has authored four books to date on topics ranging from leadership to self-empowerment including Leadership is Common Sense and CEO of Self.

In 1996, Cain became CEO and President of the National Restaurant Association. He had been a member of the NRA Board since 1988, and had served as its elected volunteer chairman in 1994/1995. Cain thus became the only volunteer chairman to become the full-time CEO and President of the Association while still a member of the Board. Cain headed the NRA in this position for two and a half years.

In 1999, Cain sought to leverage his restaurant experience with the technology market and he became CEO and President of RetailDNA. Its mission is to provide innovative marketing solutions to the retail sector.

Today, Herman is a radio talk show host on "The Herman Cain Show" out of Atlanta’s WSB 750am and is a FOX News Business Commentator. Cain remains President and CEO of THE New Voice, Inc. and serves on the Boards of Directors for AGCO Corporation, Hallmark Cards Incorporated and Whirlpool Corporation. In 2004, he ran as a candidate for the United States Senate from Georgia.
