Idiot Alert -Double the Fun

Today you get two idiots for the price of one,...

An angry exchange between a Dallas County Court Commissioner and a citizen speaker during a meeting generated a series of verbal exchanges ending with the “go to hell” request. Note: It was reported that Price actually said "White People,....you go to hell"

Commissioner John Wiley Price (Idiot Number One), the only African American, on the court was addressing the requests of citizens at an open forum portion of the meeting. The angry out bursts started when several people spoke on the forced resignation of long term elections administrator Bruce Sherbet.

Price became offended when one of the speakers called him “Mullah” which was too close to “Moolie” a derogatory term applied to African Americans.

Cowboy's Comment: Never in my 50+ years have I ever heard the term "moolie",...now I have heard "muley" for Mule Deer,...."

CBS reports that “Court rules state that public speakers may not address individual commissioners by name. As Turner spoke, he continued to call Price “Chief Mulllah.” Price interrupted Turner several times, yelling at him, “don’t call me Chief Mulllah” and “call me by my name.”

Turner claims that his use of the name Mullah was not racially motivated but spoke to the iron rule by authorities in foreign nations like Afghanistan.

In spite of Price's interruptions Turner continued to speak which eventually led to Commissioner Price making his request for what the speakers should do and then he walked out of the court. County Judge Clay Jenkins then adjourned the meeting.

Jeff Turner , the Dallas lawyer and Tea Party member, whose comments about Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price ignited a shouting match at the close of yesterday's meeting, later spoke out about the matter:

"While yesterday's events, as the Dallas County Commissioners' meeting came to adjournment may appear to be entertaining, the real news is not whether a particular individual citizen speaking before the Commissioners is a racist."

"Racism, a form of baseless judgmentalism, violates the Judeo-Christian ethic that all humans are created in God's image and likeness and are members of His family. Whether I am a racist is a matter between me and my God and His Church. [Note to media and Commissioner Price: I do not judge people by the color of their skin but by their words and actions]. The citizens of Dallas County do not care about some unelected person who has no power over them save the power to mark a ballot."

"The real news is whether Commissioner Price has established, or is attempting to establish, a party machine political system in Dallas County, with himself being the "Boss." Or, as I referred to him as, the "Chief Mullah." We hear in the news about the mullahs in Iran, for example, who essentially run that sad country by dictate and corruption and who remain in power through intimidation and dismissal of any and all opponents.

"This development in Dallas County should cause her citizens more than just some concern; they should be very nervous. Since the Great Correction began in 2007-2008, people have lost confidence in their government. But, at least, they generally had confidence in the integrity of the election system. In Dallas County , with the dismissal without cause of Bruce Sherbet as Elections Administrator, it is no longer clear whether the people can continue to have such confidence.

"I pray for all Dallas County Commissioners, including my brother, before God, Commissioner Price, that Infinite and Divine Wisdom will show them the path, and grant them the courage, to truly govern this county unselfishly, with integrity, with wisdom and understanding, and with the respect due to their fellow commissioners and to the people, especially the people's pocketbooks."

Now for Idiot Number Two,...who overlooked the history of corruption and Price's comments,...we have someone with call sign "Liberal 1" who wrote:

"Turner had no business calling John Wiley Price a Mullah...which had nothing to do with commissioners court...grow the hell up and if you don't like MOVE THE HELL OUT OF TEXAS."

Cowboy's comment: Jeez Liberal 1,...a little touchy are we? I see from your call sign (Liberal 1) that you subscribe to the two different sets of rules,..one for Liberals and one for all others who don't drink the koolaid. Here's a tip for you,....Get the hell out of Texas, you jerk.

New Feature - Idiot Alert, Feb 9th, 2011

I wish I would have saved all the really idiotic Letters to the Editor of local papers that friends and supporters have sent me over the past year. Now that I've decided to create a new feature, called "Idiot Alert" I could have used the material.

An old Cowboy from South Texas, sent me this letter to the editor:

Last Two Years

"Take back the country" has been the Republican and tea party rallying cry for the last two years.

We now know what they mean by this rant. It means take the country backward 200 years to the era of horse and buggy, flintlocks and paths instead of roads.

Republicans and tea partyers want us to follow a Constitution that was designed for life 200 years ago in the American colonies. The GOP and tea party crowd want us to adhere to a 200-year-old Second Amendment that is totally irrelevant in today's society with its modern and sophisticated weapons.

And in a desperate move, Republicans have latched onto Jefferson's 1700s "nullification" doctrine in their latest bid to invalidate health-care reform.

Their effort is totally unconstitutional (and they know it), a waste of time and will go nowhere with the Senate controlled by Democrats -- but it will keep the tea party supporters at a fever pitch.

Ron Lowe

Harlingen, Texas

Wow Ron! Don't know where to start addressing your problem,...but here goes.

So I reckon you support a Constitution that changes with the mood of the vocal minority. Which part of the Constitution would you change? I mean on one hand you're bashing the Constitution as being "totally irrelevant" today, then on the other hand you accuse (without facts) the Republicans of unconstitutional "nullification" of Obamacare. Oh, don't worry about the facts,...your kind never has,...partially because you won't be able to find any facts to support your idiotic rant. And like we say out here where manners matter,....you are entitled to your opinion (no matter how idiotic they are),..you are just not entitled to your own facts,...but again, you don't have any.....So, why don't you crawl up into the ample lap of your hero George Soros and cry on his shoulder.
