Obama and Chavez - Two Peas in a Pod

From a Reuters article posted on Yahoo news.....

With both presidents facing tight re-election fights, Venezuela's Hugo Chavez gave a (not so surprising) endorsement to Barack Obama - and said the U.S. leader no doubt felt the same. "I hope this doesn't harm Obama, but if I was from the United States, I'd vote for Obama," the socialist Chavez said of a man he first reached out to in 2009 but to whom he has since generally been insulting.

Chavez is running for a new six-year term against opposition challenger Henrique Capriles, while Obama seeks re-election in November against Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Venezuela's election is next weekend. "Obama is a good guy ... I think that if Obama was from Barlovento or some Caracas neighbourhood, he'd vote for Chavez," the president told state TV, referring to a poor coastal town known for the African roots of its population.

Chavez went on to say "After our triumph and the supposed, probable triumph of President Obama, with the extreme right defeated here and there, I hope we could start a new period of normal relations with the United States," he said. "Obama recently said something very rational and fair ... that Venezuela is no threat to the interests of the United States," he added.

Cowboys comment: Yeah, we know Obama made that asinine comment not considering (or ignoring) Russian and Chinese negotiations to build Naval bases in Venezuela.

Since coming to office, Chavez has projected himself as the head of a global "anti-imperialist" movement inspired by his friend and ideological mentor Fidel Castro of Cuba. Relations with Washington improved briefly after Obama took office in January 2009 and promised more engagement with Latin America. Chavez toned down his tirades against the "Yankee empire" and shook hands with the new U.S. leader at a summit.

Joel Osteen Explains Why He Doesn't Talk Politics

The Blaze recently profiled renowned Televangelist Joel Osteen, concerning his "non-endorsement" of any political candidates. Mr. Osteen explains that endorsing one candidate over the other tends to be divisive which is something he’s looking to avoid.

The Blaze further reported that in an interview with “CBS This Morning”, Osteen went in depth on his reasoning on avoiding politics.

“You start dividing yourself saying, ‘I’m a Democrat,’ ‘Republican,’ whatever, 50 percent immediately don’t agree,” Osteen said in the CBS interview. “And I want to throw a broad message of hope to everyone, not somebody turn me off because of my political preference.”

Osteen also called the current Presidential campaign interesting and he wishes both candidates would keep it clean.

Now here is where I lose respect for Osteen........he said that he admires both President Barack Obama and Republican contender Mitt Romney,....then he said who ever wins, let's support them.

The Democrats, as demonstrated by the Delegates at the DNC wanted to take the word "God' out of their platform. Democrats typically and regularly rail against separation of church and state and extend that argument to the ninth degree. Democrat leaders - Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Wasserman-Schultz and a host of others routinely lie on television. They supported killing babies up to the moment of birth........and Osteen not only respects Obama but if Obama wins he wants us to support him? Support Obama when and where? When is racking up unprecedented national debt? Support him as he violates the constitution with his executive orders? Support Obama when he apologizes for Islamic terrorist behavior?

One of the commentators on the on-line article, in part, wrote this: "I agree with you. The cowardice in the clergy (refering to Osteen) will not go unpunished. But Cowardice is something we see in media, with a very few minor exceptions. Here is a video contrasting the Marsh Mellow Osteen, vs Paul Washer a bold preacher:

Latest Obama Ad and Reactions

President Barack Obama is pitching a broad economic argument to voters ahead of next week's debate with Republican opponent Mitt Romney, buying TV time in seven battleground states to promote what he calls a "new economic patriotism."

In a two-minute ad, Obama looks into the camera as he promotes an economic plan he says will create 1 million manufacturing jobs, cut oil imports and hire thousands of new teachers. Notably, Obama does not mention his record like any other incumbent. He does not mention anything he has accomplished, because he has accomplished nothing positive. He blames Bush when he (Obama) not only had control, but over whelming control, of Congress for two years.

Obama say's he will create 1 million manufacturing jobs, but he has not met with his jobs council for what? over 9 months? One of his biggest donor's and primary jobs counselor, Jeffrey Immelt of GE, is moving jobs to China.

Obama say's he will cut oil imports,....maybe he will, maybe he won't, but it won't be because of drilling here in this country. Drilling on Federal land is down signficantly. Obama's is for more drilling but only when it supports other countries drilling with our money. So we pay for their drilling then pay again for oil imports. What a deal!  And gas prices twice as high as they were when Obama took office.

Obama wants to hire more teachers. Of course he does but only if they are union teachers and in states that require Union dues to be paid. Obama does not support the Right To Work because it takes away from manditory dues to the unions which support him through campaign contributions.

This is what people on the internet are saying about Obama's latest ad:

"Frank Marshall Obama wants more time to make sure more people lose jobs and homes. Tell those clowns to keep those Marxist "FORWARD" signs they may need them to build a shelter." ~1000ja1000

"What the hell is idiot Obama talking about? He said if he could not fix things he would not seek a second term. We know this dick head is a liar but there is thousands of videos with this fool saying that. I just wonder where they find these dumb asses to show up for this fraud???" ~TheCafeVid

"We must rally around the Impeachment of Marxist Nut Frank Marshall Davis Obama." MaxOneMedia

"He says he promised to 'hear my voice', well, clearly he didn't hear my voice when he rammed through Obamacare. He didn't hear the voice of the majority of Americans, who opposed his health care plan. He rules like a king, and he doesn't give a hoot what the people think except on election day. If he's elected again, watch out. He'll be even worse in his second term. So I'll do the patriotic thing and vote for Romney in 2012. We need a change." ~ourmissboo

"First Obama has no idea what Patriotism is. Second; When he talks about hard work, he is not including millions of free loaders on welfare, He is talking to taxpayers because he is going to raise your taxes. Obama is so far from being an American, it is so clear and plain to see. He is a free loader himself. Never had a job. Do not be stupid to vote for this man. He does not care about you or your family." ~Walhei960
