Shades of Another DDS (Democrat Double Standard)

Legislators questioning Solyndra execs about their bankruptcy and possible White House involvement in getting a gold plated loan deal are cautioned by Henry (I need a good dentist) Waxman (D-CA) Representatives about harassing Solyndra execs as they plead the protection of the 5th amendment not to answer question or risk incriminating themselves.

This is the same Congressman Waxman who has lamblasted the likes of sports figures, Roger Clemens comes to mind, when these people appeared before Congress and failed to kowtow before the cartoonish Waxman.

Solyndra is the third major U.S. solar power company to go out of business, despite Obama Administration efforts to cast solar power as the next boon to our economy and solution to our increasing power needs.

At a minimum, how embarrassing to Obama and his Administration that he threatens to gut the coal industry, makes the U.S. increasingly dependent upon foreign oil, and has his pet alternative energy projects fail,.....one after another. And not only fail, but take American tax payers dollars with it.

In case you just haven't been paying attention the following video will catch you up to speed on the Solyndra mess.

Cowboys had a reader ask about a comment about incompetence or criminality of the Obama's Administration, lately highlighted by the Solyandra debacle...and then re-enforced by the Light Squared company where the Obama White House tried to manipulate a DoD response to that company getting a contract that may impact in a negative manner of DoD Communications and GPS systems. Obama's financial holdings in Light Squared had nothing to do with this White House attempted bullying of DoD. Light Squared is a whole 'nother story itself.

Exposure being what it is,......or to put it plainly - sometimes crap just floats to the surface, a recent article by Holly Bailey, which you can read here, utilizes the Obama Economic Advisory Team as the keystone example of Administration incompetency. Cowboy's thinks it is as good of an example of any.

Ms Bailey uses Ron Suskind's new Book ""Confidence Men: Wall Street, Washington and the Education of a President", which highlights the opinion that Obama's hiring of his economic team (called in the book as a "team of rivals") appears to be one of the worst decisions he has made as president.

Cowboy's Comment: I would not describe these economic advisors as a "team of rivals" as their brains don't rival anything but a dung beetle. I would prefer to call them a "team of butt clowns".

Nearly three years after Obama taking office this country has faced increasing financial chaos - very little of which can be blamed on former President George Bush - however that doesn't stop Obama from blaming Bush.

Cowboy's Comment: What ever happened to the "Buck Stops Here". Well, what happened is that Obama is not a Harry Truman Democrat, President or Leader. He is more in the form of a Jimmy Carter Democrat.

Since the entry on duty of Obama's financial advisory team, this team has been a source for stories that highlight the textbook dysfunctionality. Let's see: Christina Romer, the former chairwoman of the Council of Economic Advisers; Larry Summers, the former director of the National Economic Council; Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner; Peter Orszag, then-chairman of the Office of Management and Budget; and who can forget then-White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel known for his "let's talk when your naked approach".

Obama and this country would be much better off if he hired Larry, Moe and Curly to manage this country financial future.

Herman Cain Ssuprises Some in Florida Straw Poll Win

Watching the last debates I sorta thought Rick Santorum did well. I thought Romney held his ground or dipped slightly. Thought Bachmann did not hurt herself. Rick Perry obviously and self admittedly did fairly poor. Gary Johnston apparently took his Prozac which helped him appear as less the goof. Ron Paul,..well Ron Paul is Ron Paul and he did less well than previous debates.

I thought my favorite, Herman Cain, did good, not outstndling but good, and I liked his complimentary comment's about Newt Gingich. As Newt Gingich may be the smartest candidate on the stage. And we admit that straw polls, are worth about the same as straw in goat mangers, but it is heartening to see Herman Cain as the winner of the Florida straw poll.

Don't let it fool you that Bachmann and Romney stated they are not participating in the straw poll. They feared a poor showing that would diminish their message and their standing, but their names were added anyway and they did not do so well.

The Numbers:

Herman Cain 37%
Rick Perry 15%
Mitt Romney 14%

Romney only 14% and in third place after his campaign has been off the ground for basically three years as opposed to just three months or so for Cain and 5 weeks for Perry.
