The more things change, the more they stay the same,……

Clarence J. Brown (R-OH), taking a cue from Democrat President Harry S. Truman’s 1949 speech which was billed as a “pie for everyone” speech, was able to get the following poem into the Congressional record, citing it from a prominent Democrat from Georgia. I guess things haven't changed that much in 62 years,.....Democrats still buying votes with entitlement promises and programs. The biggest change in 62 years? The deficit of course, which is now at $15 trillion and counting.

In case you can’t read the document, here are the words to the poem:

DEMOCRAT DIALOG

Father, must I go to work?
No, my lucky son.
We’re living now on Easy Street
On dough from Washington

We’ve left it up to Uncle Sam,
So don’t get exercised.
Nobody has to give a damn –
We’ve all been subsidized.

But if Sam treats us all so well
And feeds us milk and honey,
Please, Daddy, tell me what the hell
He’s going to use for money.

Don’t worry. Bub, there’s not a hitch
In this here noble plan –
He simply soaks the filthy rich
And helps the common man.

But Father won’t there come a time
When they run out of cash
And we have left them not a dime
When things will go to smash?

My faith in you is shrinking, son,
You nosy little brat.
You do too much damn thinking, son.
To be a Democrat.

Things That Make You Go Mad

Transparency? Obama's campaign promise to have the most transparent government in history turns out just like Nancy Pelosi's promise of the same kind. Not! The Obama administration continues to keep things under wraps,...from executive orders, to hiding e-mails a concerning Fast and Furious, Solyndra and others,...and the most glaring non-transparent issue of our time, not to mention the Obama presidency is the non-release of school records, travel, employment,
passport and birth certificate. This continues to give fuel to the "Manchurian candidate" conspiracy buffs.

Congressional Corruption. Pelosi's makes money on stock IPO (initial purchase option or going public) after being involved in insider information pertaining to legislation on credit card companies. Pelosi's husband, San Francisco businessman Paul Pelosi, purchased millions in Visa stock just before Visa, also based in San Francisco, was undergoing a large IPO. Pelosi has failed to date to answer the question whether she considered it a conflict of interest for she and her husband to participate "in a very large IPO deal from Visa at a time there was major legislation affecting the credit card companies" making its way through Congress. Well, to be fair, Pelosi did answer the question in a manner befitting someone with something to hide,...."What you're contending is not true,...the fact is your basic premise is a false one.".....WHAT?

Failed Budget Budget Amendment. The House failed to pass a balanced budget amendment, largely on partisan lines.....the vote being 261 in favor and 165 opposed, short of the two-thirds majority needed to pass the amendment onto the Senate, where it would surely die anyway in a leftist controlled, Harry Reid led Senate. We are now over $15 Trillion in debt and the only something like 24 Democrats Congressmen voted for a balanced budget. With projected failure,
caused by Democratic sabotage, of the debt reduction committee's mission to cut $1.2 Trillion, this country will see inflation, more unemployment, people on the welfare and poverty rolls and another National credit rating reduction.

War Numbers Skewed. A reader sent me an editorial written by some idiot in South Texas who asked a rhetorical question to the effect "Ten years of war; Billions spent in Iraq and Afghanistan; 6,000 soldiers dead; where has that got us?" Well, I have some numbers for him: Two countries liberated; 50 million people freed; populations of several other countries now embracing freedom;
AND,.....None,...Zip,...Nada one terrorist attack on our homeland since Sept 11th, 2001.

NLRB - At It Again, Destroying America

From Mark Mix of the Right to Work Foundation.

Newly released documents demonstrate, once again, the blatant pro-Big Labor bias of President Barack Obama's appointees at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

The Obama administration lawyer responsible for the outrageous complaint against Boeing that could destroy thousands of jobs in Right to Work South Carolina joked in an internal email about taking a job with Airbus, the plane manufacturer heavily subsidized by European governments.

What NLRB Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon said next is even more telling.....
"We screwed up the American economy and now we can tackle Europe ."

Looking at the nightly news, I don't think the Big Governments of Europe need Lafe Solomon's help to wreck the economy.

While Solomon may claim to be joking, the impact of the Boeing case could indeed be disastrous for the economy.

As you may recall, Solomon is scheming to force thousands of Boeing Company jobs from South Carolina to Washington State , where International Association of Machinists (IAM) union bosses can force workers to pay dues or "fees" as a condition of employment.

The goal is clear: paralyze the decision-making of job providers like Boeing as they consider where to expand their businesses and create new jobs -- unless they are willing to cave in to pressure from union bosses and federal bureaucrats.

If the NLRB rubber stamps this despicable union-boss greed, job providers across the country could be forced to get approval from union bosses before they expand their businesses.

It's a blatant attack on the rights of workers and businesses alike.

And as the economy continues to struggle, it's the last thing we need.

Thanks to the generosity of Foundation supporters, after Solomon filed the complaint we immediately launched an aggressive media blitz in South Carolina offering free legal aid to Boeing employees.

Our extensive outreach paid off, and three Boeing workers contacted the Foundation for free legal aid.

Dennis Murray, one of the Boeing employees, told local news reporters that the Obama Labor Board is "forgetting the little people...they're forgetting the people trying to make a living and feed their families."

But Solomon didn't just forget about the workers -- he actively opposed their intervention in the case.

And now we learn that Solomon has been cracking jokes about the impact of his decision to do Big Labor's bidding at the expense of American workers and the economy.

"If I lose my job, my family will be devastated," Murray explained.

The newly released documents only confirm what I already knew -- I'm proud to stand with these courageous Boeing employees fighting back against outrageous bullying from union bosses and an out-of-control Obama Labor Board.

Cowboy's comment: It is inconceivable that people in the U.S. still do not have a right to work without paying Union dues, which of a large percentage is used in support of politicians (read Democrats) who what to perpetuate the system of Union domination in the workplace and the resultant degradation of the U.S. Economy.
