Michigan Democrat Threatens Violence over Right To Work Vote

Michigan Democrat Threatens Violence over Right To Work Vote following union violence. Michigan Democrat Representative Douglas Geiss committed some jackassery when he twitted that "there will be blood in the streets" after Michigan passed the Right to Work Law which re-affirmed the First Amendment of "free association". If this was a conservative law maker there would be a deafening cry from the lame stream media to hang this guy.

The offending tweet, from this ass twit, followed the union violence against conservative reporters and people in wheel chairs a couple days ago and reported on Fox Newsd by Steve Crowder who was assaulted by unions thugs.

The Union's and the Democrats put forth the argument that the Republican controlled Legislature rammed the Right To Work Law through without public debate or Democrat input. Whereas the facts are that the people of Michigan voted in conservative tea party representation in the historic 2010 election and in-coming representatives Patrick Colbeck and Mike Shirkey started working toward legislation to ban mandatory union membership and the obligatory union dues as a condition of employment in Michigan. They even got in front of unions to detail their plan.

The people of Michigan also elected a businessman for their Governor, Rick Synder, obviously hoping that his business insight and pro-business strategy could help Michigan reverse their economic downward spiral. The Michigan democrats and unions need to understand that the definition of insantiy ois doing the same things over and over again and hoping for a different outcome. Forcibly making workers join a union, stealing money for union dues from their paychecks and lying about Republicans is doing the same thing that has helped cause the Michigan economic situation to tank. Hopefully now business can re-consider moving to Michigan to stop the hemoragging economy.

Unbelieveable News, Mid December Edition

Several things in the news struck me as unbelieveable.

Obama approval rises. Unbelieveable as the jobless rate climbs; as Obama in the shadow of the looimg fiscal cliff hasn't met face to face with Congress since November 16th and now has went on vaction through the end of December; as the federal debt climbs to well over $16 Trillion, and as Obama asked Congress to do away with the debt limit and let him spend on whatever he wants to spend it on.

Unbelieveable that Obama is spending $4 million of tax payer money for his vacation while people reside in New York and New Jersey without power or running water while FEMA sits idly by; and Obama renders his suport for unions fighting against the "right to work" legislation being pushed by more and more states. Why would anyone be against the right to work without paying union dues? Because the Unions want workers to be forced to pay union dues to work so they have a bigger war chest to put forth a political agenda to keep Obama and other socialist/communist in charge.

Unbelievable that a West Point Cadet quits West Point without incuring any pay back costs for his education nor required military service. Then he is allowed to run his stinking pie hole about how his "rights" were abused because West Point is a culture that promotes prayer and religious activities and "disrespects nonreligious cadets". Well here's a clue you ass clown of a human being, there are no non-religious people when people are shooting at you. And the main reason people are trying to kill us now days is because WE ARE A CHRISTIAN NATION, no matter what Preident Obama says.

Oh, by the way, the Cadet's name is Page, and he is being medically disqualified because of clinical depression and anxiety. He (Page the whiner) said his condition has gotten worse since his father killed himself last year. Page plans of living with his grandparents - probably drawing social security disability for emotional problems. I for one am glad as hell he did not get into a position to lead this country's best.

NLRB - At It Again, Destroying America

From Mark Mix of the Right to Work Foundation.

Newly released documents demonstrate, once again, the blatant pro-Big Labor bias of President Barack Obama's appointees at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

The Obama administration lawyer responsible for the outrageous complaint against Boeing that could destroy thousands of jobs in Right to Work South Carolina joked in an internal email about taking a job with Airbus, the plane manufacturer heavily subsidized by European governments.

What NLRB Acting General Counsel Lafe Solomon said next is even more telling.....
"We screwed up the American economy and now we can tackle Europe ."

Looking at the nightly news, I don't think the Big Governments of Europe need Lafe Solomon's help to wreck the economy.

While Solomon may claim to be joking, the impact of the Boeing case could indeed be disastrous for the economy.

As you may recall, Solomon is scheming to force thousands of Boeing Company jobs from South Carolina to Washington State , where International Association of Machinists (IAM) union bosses can force workers to pay dues or "fees" as a condition of employment.

The goal is clear: paralyze the decision-making of job providers like Boeing as they consider where to expand their businesses and create new jobs -- unless they are willing to cave in to pressure from union bosses and federal bureaucrats.

If the NLRB rubber stamps this despicable union-boss greed, job providers across the country could be forced to get approval from union bosses before they expand their businesses.

It's a blatant attack on the rights of workers and businesses alike.

And as the economy continues to struggle, it's the last thing we need.

Thanks to the generosity of Foundation supporters, after Solomon filed the complaint we immediately launched an aggressive media blitz in South Carolina offering free legal aid to Boeing employees.

Our extensive outreach paid off, and three Boeing workers contacted the Foundation for free legal aid.

Dennis Murray, one of the Boeing employees, told local news reporters that the Obama Labor Board is "forgetting the little people...they're forgetting the people trying to make a living and feed their families."

But Solomon didn't just forget about the workers -- he actively opposed their intervention in the case.

And now we learn that Solomon has been cracking jokes about the impact of his decision to do Big Labor's bidding at the expense of American workers and the economy.

"If I lose my job, my family will be devastated," Murray explained.

The newly released documents only confirm what I already knew -- I'm proud to stand with these courageous Boeing employees fighting back against outrageous bullying from union bosses and an out-of-control Obama Labor Board.

Cowboy's comment: It is inconceivable that people in the U.S. still do not have a right to work without paying Union dues, which of a large percentage is used in support of politicians (read Democrats) who what to perpetuate the system of Union domination in the workplace and the resultant degradation of the U.S. Economy.

Right to Work Update

Last week, the U.S. House Workforce Committee held a hearing on the Obama Labor Board's recent onslaught of Big Labor power grabs that undermine worker freedom. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Chairman and former union lawyer Mark Pearce offered his spin after the hearing, calling the Board's decisions "fair and even-handed." Cowboy's Comment:Geez, that's like putting the fox in the hen house with a pro-Union Lawyer at the NLRB.......Here's a question: "What do you call ten Union Lawyers at the bottom of a Lake?"......"...a good start is what it is."

The Socialist Union won out against Boeing. The Union complaint was that if Boeing was allowed to move a plant to South Carolina, where there is a right to work, it would a civil rights violation against the Unionized Boeing workers currently in Washington State. Cowboy's Comment:Requiring any worker to pay union dues as a condition of employment is totally Un-American and a major reason this country is in the dire straits we find ourselves in.

But at least one individual employee, victimized by one recent NLRB decision, stood up and made her voice heard.

On July 22, Barbara Ivey learned the radical Service Employees International Union (SEIU) was launching a campaign to unionize her workplace.

Thirteen days later, her employer, Kaiser Permanente, announced that it was recognizing the union as the monopoly bargaining agent of all workers in the unit.

There was no secret ballot vote. No one from the SEIU ever contacted Ms Ivey about whether or not she wanted to join or support the union.

Other workers told Ivey they felt pressured to sign so-called "union authorization cards."

But Kaiser Permanente agreed to recognize the union through the abusive card check process, and the workers faced an uphill battle to exercise their rights.

Relying on the National Right to Work Foundation-won Dana precedent, Ivey utilized the only means left at her disposal. She asked her coworkers to sign a petition demanding a secret ballot vote.

By August 8, Ivey turned in a petition supported by 45 percent of her coworkers to request a decertification election. The NLRB set a private vote for September 20.

But before that vote could occur, the Board overturned Dana, canceling the election.

Barbara Ivey and her coworkers must now wait one to four years to request a new decertification election.

Ivey told the U.S. House panel, "For me and my fellow employees however, snatching away those rights just as an election has been agreed to and a date had been set was cruel and unethical."

Read the rest of her testimony by clicking here.

I'm sure you'll agree there's nothing "fair and even-handed" about her story.

Wisconsin and Ohio versus the Unions - Right to Work at Stake

The Union's are on the attack again fighting against Wisconsin's union bargaining reforms and now against Ohio's new right to work law for the government sector.

How can any responsible person be against the concept of "right to work". Right to work simple means, having the right to work in a job your are qualified for without having a union "tax" (at best) or "extort" (at worse) part of your pay check to pay for, among other things, political ads overwhelmingly for liberal, socialist values?

Wisconsin and Ohio both righted a moral wrong by eliminating the union's power over government employees,...but as the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation correct asserts, the union bosses won't relinquish their special legal privileges without a fight.

Right now union lawyers are scheming and working to overturn Wisconsin's monopoly bargaining reforms in the courts, union bosses and their allies in Ohio have launched a massive campaign in support of a ballot measure that would repeal Ohio's new government-sector Right to Work law.

This past week, with free legal aid from the National Right to Work Foundation, 15 Ohio school teachers filed a class-action suit demonstrating once again why the new Right to Work protections are so clearly needed. All 15 teachers who launched the lawsuit have exercised their right to refrain from membership in the Ohio Education Association (OAE) union and its affiliates, but nonetheless are forced to accept the "representation" of and pay tribute to union bosses as a condition of employment.

In the Foundation-won precedent Abood v. Detroit Board of Education, the U.S. Supreme Court held that the First Amendment guarantees that nonmember teachers cannot be forced to pay dues or fees for union-boss politics and other non-bargaining activities.

OEA union officials have unlawfully overcharged the teachers for costs supporting the union's political activism and electioneering, which of course is again over-whelmingly if not 100% in support of Democrats, Liberals, Big Government spending, anti-constitutionalists and Socialists,....ahh, but I'm being redundant.

One of big wrongs this Country has to fix is when workers can be compelled to support an unwanted union.

The above article was para-phrased in part from a report by The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation. This is a nonprofit, charitable organization providing free legal aid to employees whose human or civil rights have been violated by compulsory unionism abuses. The Foundation, which can be contacted toll-free at 1-800-336-3600, is assisting thousands of employees in nearly 200 cases nationwide. The Foundation's mailing address is 8001 Braddock Road, Springfield, Virginia 22160. Its web address is www.nrtw.org/

Unions and their Entitlements Destroying America

Now it's not just Wisconsin, but Indiana is addressing the destruction of America by the Unions and their entitlement mentality. I believe that most Americans don't know the issues with the Unions, the power of their collective bargaining and the ramifications (read havoc) that their "rights", pensions and other entitlements have brought to the States' budgets and, indeed, this Country.

Article from Yahoo! News by William Browning – Feb 22

Indiana has joined the labor union fight between Democrats and Republicans. Democratic lawmakers fled the state to protest the right-to-work law in front of the state legislature.

What is a right-to-work law? Here are some facts about what is known as right-to-work in the United States.

Right-to-Work and Labor Unions

When a law deals with the right to work, it talks about how labor unions are funded and empowered in various states. Some states require employees to be part of a union if they want to work for certain agencies. Other states do not have such a requirement. It's called "right-to-work" because employees won't have to pay anything to have a job if they don't want to.

Cowboy's Comment: "Yeah, pay dues to the union which in turn use it to fund the campaign coffers of Democrat candidates, which perpetuates the power of the unions. You all heard President "Community Organizer" Obama state his opposition to union reforms that the Wisconsin Governor is trying to do....Obama called it an attack on the unions."

For example, in a right-to-work state, one can be a teacher without paying into the teachers' union. In a state without such a provision, employees are required to pay union dues for a union job. For workers, living in a right-to-work state means you don't have to pay union dues. Should the union strike, you would not have voting rights in the organization and can walk across picket lines.
