Lt Col Allen West, now soon to be Congressman West (R-FL)

...maybe President West?
Now this is a non nonsense man with a solid backbone that I could follow.

While serving in 2003, Allen West was a Battalion Commander of the 2d Battalion, 20th Field Artillery Regiment. Lieutenant Colonel West interrogated an Iraqi police officer who was suspected of being a turn ocat and informing on American troop movements and operations.

As the interrogation was failing and LTC West's believed his men's lives were at stake, he fired his pistol past the detainee's head into a clearing barrel, scaring the Iraqi but not hurting him.

The Iraqi gave up information on planned radical Islamic insurgent operations against the Americans which undoubtedly led to saving American lives.

West, who was just short of 22 years of service, reported his action to his higher chain of command was charged with violating the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Articles 128 and 134. He then submitted his retirement paperwork and was allowed to retire with full benefits in the summer of 2004.

At an Article 32 (pre-courts martial trial hearing), LTC West was asked by his defense attorney if he would do it again. "If it's about the lives of my men and their safety, I'd go through hell with a gasoline can," he said.

Contrast this with a current President who most often voted "Present" on difficult issues during his incredible short time as a Illinois Senator primary to becoming elected President without ANY management or leadership experience AT ALL.

Watch this video and see if you think he would not be on your short list for 2012.
