What the hell is up with this? A patriot sent me this asking me to explain how the American people can stand for this. I could not. Anybody? And is there any link to the F-16 fighter aircraft and M1 tanks being given to the Muslim Brotherhood led and controlled government of Egypt?

Gun Control Keep Chicago Safe - NOT!!!
Chicago Woman Loses 4th Child to Gun Violence. At least five people were gunned down Saturday in Chicago, including a 34-year-old man whose mother had already lost her three other children to shootings.
Ronnie Chambers, who was his mother Shirley's youngest child, was shot in the head while sitting in a parked car on the city's West Side. A 21-year-old man who was also in the car was wounded, police said.
Shirley Chambers, whose two other sons and daughter were shot in separate attacks more than a decade ago, was left grieving again on Saturday, WLS-TV reported.
"Right now, I'm totally lost because Ronnie was my only surviving son," Chambers said. Shirley Chambers' first child, Carlos, was shot and killed by a high school classmate in 1995 after an argument. He was 18. Her daughter Latoya, then 15, and her other son Jerome were shot and killed within months of one another in 2000.
"What did I do wrong? I was there for them. We didn't have everything we wanted but we had what we needed," she asked Saturday.
Chambers said despite this latest tragic chapter in her life, she's not bitter or angry.
"They took my only child. I have nobody right now. That's my only baby," she said.
A few hours after Ronnie Chambers was killed, a gunman opened fire on three men near a South Side eatery, killing two of them and wounding the third, police said.
On Saturday afternoon, detectives were called to the scene of another shooting in which a man in his 30s and a teenager were shot to death. There had been no arrests.
Chicago's homicide count eclipsed 500 last year for the first time since 2008. As grim as it is, Chicago's homicide rate was almost double in the early 1990s — averaging around 900 — before violent crime began dropping in cities across America.
Last year's increase, though, stood in sharp contrast to New York, where homicides fell 21 percent from 2011, as of early December.

Can the U.S. Government Target Americans
FBI Director Robert Mueller said on or about March 9th, 2012 (how this this get by us?) he would have to go back and check with the Department of Justice whether Attorney General Eric Holder's "three criteria" for the targeted killing of Americans also applied to Americans inside the U.S.
Pressed by House lawmakers about a speech in which Holder described the legal justification for assassination, Mueller, who was attending a hearing on his agency's budget, did not say without qualification that the three criteria could not be applied inside the U.S.
"I have to go back. Uh, I'm not certain whether that was addressed or not," Mueller said when asked by Rep. Tom Graves, R-Ga., about a distinction between domestic and foreign targeting.
Graves followed up asking whether "from a historical perspective," the federal government has "the ability to kill a U.S. citizen on United States soil or just overseas."
"I'm going to defer that to others in the Department of Justice," Mueller replied.

Bob Schieffer likens Obama Gun Control as defeating the Nazis
Bob Schieffer of Face The Nation said that Obama has a very good chance of defeating the National Rifle Association because President Lyndon Johnson passed Civil Rights legislation and Franklin Roosevelt defeated Hitler and Nazi Germany.
Really!! Not! Schieffer is a extreme butt clown. That's him peeking between Romney and Obama like the little worm he is. As you'll remember during this Presidential Campaign debate, Bob the worm backed up Obama on Obama contention that he called the Libyan attacks a Terrorist attack all along. Of course, the record indicates otherwise, but when do Liberals worry about the truth? When confronted with the truth, they change the questions.
Back to dead beat Bob's statement: First of all, President Johnson was only successful in passing Civil Rights legislation because Republicans supported it. The Democrats fought hard to defeat it. This fact is conveniently hid from the history books.
Second of all, Roosevelt did not defeat Hitler and Nazi Germany. American men did, and they saw first hand the results of a disarmed population who could not fight back against aggressive tryanny.

Sheriff Clarke say's Arm and Protect Yourself
This is an article from Fox 6 Now News on the Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, Sheriff’s Office released a new public service announcement regarding gun safety on Thursday, January 24th that is getting attention for its bluntness.
In the PSA, Sheriff David Clarke says, “With officers laid off and furloughed, simply calling 911 and waiting is no longer your best option. You could beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back. But are you prepared?”
He goes on to say, “You have a duty to protect yourself and your family. We’re partners now. Can I count on you?”
Jacob Schneider is a firearms instructor at the MGS Group — attached directly to the Shooters Shop in West Allis. He is happy someone has finally spoken up about the need to own a gun.
“He is saying we are responsible, in a lot of cases for our own personal safety,” said Schneider.
“If he does not feel he is capable of doing this, and he’s not qualified to take on this role of public safety, he should resign and he should do it today,” said Jeri Bonavia of the non-profit Wisconsin Anti-violence Effort.
Bonavia says Clarke is asking citizens to become vigilantes.
“To issue a blanket statement that people should be out there, arming up, and taking care of safety matters that really law enforcement officials are trained to do, is just irresponsible,” said Bonavia.
The office of Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett said in a statement: “Apparently Sheriff David Clark (sp) is auditioning for the next Dirty Harry movie.”
Clarke fired back with his own statement. It read: ”Several years ago a tire iron-wielding suspect beat Mayor Tom Barrett to within inches of his life. I would think that he would be a lot more sensitive to people being able to defend themselves in such instances. A firearm and a plan of defense would have come in handy for him that day.”
On their Facebook page Friday afternoon, Greenfield Police noted to its residents, “The decision to arm yourself with a firearm is a very personal and private decision that should not be driven by fear that our officers will not respond to your calls for help.” The post urges Greenfield residents to consider taking a concealed carry class, hunter safety and education course, or even take part in the city’s Citizen Police Academy.
The PSA is one in a series of ads being run by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office. The other ads address drunk driving and texting while driving. The ads will be running on multiple radio stations within southeast Wisconsin.

Protecting Yourself with Guns
BRYAN COUNTY, Oklahoma - A 12-year-old girl took matters into her own hands during a home invasion in southeast Oklahoma. In a future Obama gun restricted America, this girl just may be dead,.....or worse.
It happened on Wednesday when the girl was home alone. She told police a stranger rang the doorbell, then went around to the back door and kicked it in. She called her mom, Debra St. Clair, who told her to get the family gun, hide in a closet and call 911.
.................. That was when St. Clair dropped what she doing and raced home.
"I drove home at a really fast pace to try to get to her, and when I got here the police were already here. And they had the suspect," she said.
The during that time, the intruder made his way through the house. St. Clair's daughter told deputies the man came into the room where she was hiding and began to open up the closet door. That was when the 12 year old had to make a life-saving decision.
"And what we understand right now, he was turning the doorknob when she fired through the door," said the Bryan County Undersheriff Ken Golden.
The bullet hit the intruder, who deputies identified as 32-year-old Stacey Jones. He took off but did not get far before officers took him down.
"He was sitting down, the policemen had had him apprehended at the end of the block. All I saw was some blood coming down his back. I'm not exactly sure where his injury was, but I saw some blood there," explained St. Clair.
Jones was taken to a Texas hospital by helicopter after the incident. An investigator on the case said Jones was released from the hospital Thursday and extradited to the Bryan County Jail.
The 12-year-old girl was not injured during the ordeal.
.....and another example,......
Assault rifle saves teenagers from home invasion burglars
The teenage son of a Harris County Precinct 1 deputy shot a home intruder Tuesday afternoon in the 2600 block of Royal Place in northwest Harris County, deputies said.
The 15-year-old boy and his 12-year-old sister had been home alone in the Mount Royal Village subdivision when around 2:30 p.m. a pair of burglars tried the front and back doors, then broke a back window.
The teenager grabbed his father’s assault rifle and knew what to do with it.
“We don’t try to hide things from our children in law enforcement,” Lt. Jeffrey Stauber said. “That young boy was protecting his sister. He was in fear for his life and her life.”
The home invaders fled, leaving a trail of blood.

Foreign Aid: Needs to Go Away
Open Letter to Congress, both Republicans and Democrats,...and especially President Obama. And this is coming on the heels of the Obama Administration saying they will give Egypt 16 F-16 fighter aircraft and a large number of M-1 Abrams tanks. Remember, this is to the Morsi regime who said they only have two enemies: Israel and the United States. This is ludicous!
No matter how you spin it, or yes, even lie about it, this Country is broke. I know some of you will say we have enough money coming in from revenues, read taxes, that we can pay our bills. Oh how deceitful you are! This only counts for the some of the interest on our debt and not any of the principals, and we continue to borrow money to pay for entitlement programs while social security and Medicare are going broke.
If you really want to pay for entitlements then I suggest we quit giving our enemies the tax payers money. I know of no one who approves of foreign aid to terrorists, murders, dictators, drug traffickers and such.
In the last few years we have provided direct cash aid to the following countries, which should stop immediately.
Haiti- $1,400,000,000
Hamas - $351,000,000
Pakistan- $2,000,000,000
Libya $1,450,000,000
Egypt- $397,000,000
Mexico- $622,000,000
Russia- $380,000,000
Haiti- $1,400,000,000
Jordan- $463,000,000
Kenya- $816,000,000
Sudan- $870,000,000
Nigeria- $456,000,000
Uganda- $451,000,000
Congo- $359,000,000
Ethiopia- $981,000,000
South Africa- $566,000,000
Senegal- $698,000,000
Mozambique- $404,000,000
Zambia- $331,000,000
Kazakhstan- $304,000,000
Iraq- $1,080,000,000
Tanzania- $554,000,000
While the above funding totals a pitiful amount compared to the National debt that you have run up,...presently over $16.4 Trillion,...it's a sad fact that we give this money to these mutt countries and they continue to run us down in the United Nations, voting against us and even supporting or cheering terrorist attacks on this country or our people.
Besides,....eliminating tax payer funds for even one of the above countries would pay the salary shortcoming for most of our government, sans the military.
Our retired seniors living on a fixed income, children going hungry in this Country, decayed infrastructure, there are many better targets of our money than to give to our enemies.

Golf Pro to Leave California Due to High Taxes
The Christian Science Monitor has published a sory about Golf Pro Phil Mickelson who is hinting at a move away from California, perhaps the United States and maybe even away from golf as he seeks to escape punitive tax rates.
"It's been an interesting offseason," Mickelson said Sunday after the final round of the Humana Challenge. "And I'm going to have to make some drastic changes. I'm not going to jump the gun and do it right away, but I will be making some drastic changes."
The 42-year-old said he would talk in more detail about his plans before his hometown Farmers Insurance Open, the San Diego-area event that starts Thursday at Torrey Pines.
"I'm not sure what exactly I'm going to do yet," Mickelson said. "I'll probably talk about it more in depth next week. I'm not going to jump the gun, but there are going to be some. There are going to be some drastic changes for me because I happen to be in that zone that has been targeted both federally and by the state and it doesn't work for me right now."
In November, California voters approved the first statewide tax increase since 2004. Mickelson lives in Rancho Santa Fe.
"If you add up all the federal and you look at the disability and the unemployment and the Social Security and the state, my tax rate's 62, 63 percent," Mickelson said. "So I've got to make some decisions on what I'm going to do."
Last year, Mickelson flirted with becoming a part owner of the San Diego Padres, the baseball team that sold for $800 million in August. He was asked Sunday if there was a correlation between the tax increases and what happened to the Padres' deal.
"Absolutely," Mickelson said.

Hilliary Clinton's Benghazi Testimony
"There are four dead Americans..........at this point, what difference does it make (how they died)?"
Well, Madame Sectretary, it makes a butt load of difference!!
Your failed management of the State Department,........ ......ignoring cables from Ambassador Stevens that would have alerted you to a constantly degraded safety environment for American employees and begging for more security,........you not doing whatever you could to get a rescue response when the terrorist action started,...... and no one believes that the U.S. government, from the President through the SecDef to you, did not know within the first hour of the attack that it was not terrorists,.............
Yet you and your U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice lied about the attacks and the cause. We fully expect the President and his propaganda staff and the lame stream media to lie as they have done on a daily basis the last four years, but to have you, Madame Secretary, lie about Benghazi makes you look arrogant and incompetent.
Oh,..the fake crying over the deaths of Americans?.....good try but you are not fooling anyone.
Senator Rand Paul said it best...."Had I been President and found out that you did not read the cables from your Ambassador, I would have relieved you from your post."

They Lied to Us About the Sandy Hook School Shooting
It is getting VERY tiresome being lied to by the Government and the Media. Watch and read this and ask yourself if you too are tired of these lies and what the ultimate purpose of them may be.
So they finally had to come out and admit it, now that the Coroner has released some info along with Police. An AR-15 Rifle or the so-called "Assault Weapon" was not used in the school shooting.
Repeat, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting where 20 children and six adults were massacred was not done with an AR-15 type rifles,....
The shooter (we won't even use his despicable name) even tried weeks earlier to buy a rifle but was turned down in the background check. So he had to kill his Mother to steal her rifle. There were initial reports right after the shooting, that Police found the AR-15 Rifle in his car, NOT IN THE SCHOOL. But the media and left sing anti-gun politicans focused on the AR-15 rifle.....because it suited their agenda. Remember the Obama Administration creed of "Not letting a good crisis go to waste."
Again, a Rifle was not used. The Shooter went into the school with 4 handguns. Not an Assault Rifle as the media has charged. Remember in the initial hours of this shooting, the Police said they found the Rifle in the car. But the News Media had a Pre-Planned Attack already waiting, to ban so-called assault weapons and jumped on that line of reporting, knowing it was a lie. Including people like Piers Morgan who said the shooter used an AR-15 that shoots hundreds of rounds per minute, as if it were a machine gun.
Could it be that the Democrat Liberals and the Media were pushing for the new law, hoping they could do it, before the Coroner released the info. I'm betting on it. Look at what Governor-Dictator Cuomo did in New York.

Sandy Relief? Or More Pork Barrel Spending?
Relief aid for Hurricane Sandy victims or more tax payer funded pork? Some of each actually. After listening to New Jersey Governor Christie, aka the Human Blimp, whine about the Federal government not coughing up federal tax payer dollars to fund relief for victims and businesses hit by Hurricane Sandy, Congress finally voted a relief package after House Conservatives tried to cut out the non Sandy related pork in this bill,.....so thanks to Senator Harry Reid who put the pork back into the bill, then tried to set up Republicans to vote against the entire bill including this shameful pork. And some people wonder why we think of politicans as crooks.
Here is something of the pork that was included:
$4 million for the Kennedy Space Center. Hell, I didn't know they moved it to New Jersey!.
$8 million for Homeland Security and Justice Department vehicles.
$20 million for a nation wide water resources conservation study.
$41 million for eight military bases including Guantanamo Bay.
$56 million for charting sea debris from lasy years Japanese Tsunami.
$150 million for Alaskan fisheries.
$188 million for new Amtrak lines.
$5.3 billion to the Army Corps of Engineers, which should result in about 10% of actually be used for construction projects.
$10 billion and change public transportation.
$13 billion for mitigation studies and projects to prepare for future storms.
$17 billion for Community Development Block Grants - most likley to be administered by ACORN and other left wing, Obama supporting groups.
This is a shame. A damn shame.

Colin Powell, A Disappointment
I am a Mychel Massie fan and wanted to share his recent post this about Colin Powell, who was once thought of as an American hero but now is sadly seeking attention and blatantly defending Obama's indefensible and reprehensible race baiting, class warfare and path to disaster for this country on all fronts,...economic, social and militarily.
Mychal Massie say's it best:
Colin Powell is beyond a disappointment to those who hailed him as a remarkable success story who exemplified not only the best of America, but who epitomized the standard of opportunity that existed for everyone in America. But today he comes across as a petulant race-monger who is eager to blame disapproval of Obama on racism and/or prejudice.
Appearing on "Meet the Press" January 13, Powell accused the Party that made him one of the most important and powerful men in the world of being racially intolerant. Which is just another way of calling the Republican Party racist.
Powell was feigning exception to what he viewed as racist code-speak about Obama. Accusations that Obama was "lazy" in preparing for the first presidential debate, to Powell was a synonym for "shiftless" which screamed racism. Powell strongly insinuated the Republican who called Obama "lazy" of lefthandedly calling Obama a "lazy N-word." He accused another Republican who referenced Obama as "shuckin' and jivin'," of being racist.
Let me note that Obama is lazy. And anyone watching his mac-daddy ghetto swagger and/or listening to his pernicious pontificating would be hard-pressed not to say he was a classic example of "shuckin' and jivin'."
Many will call Powell a shameful traitor to the party he had represented, but I think there is more at work with his statements.
I believe Powell is, in military terms, "softening the ground." He is laying the groundwork to further reduce any criticism of Obama policies to being racist. The media blather will be "even General Powell, the former Secretary of State, says," blah-blah-blah. You can bet on it. Of course it will be forgotten that liberals and blacks called Powell a token coon, sell-out, and Uncle Tom when he was in the Bush Administration.
Obama is up to something that is going to bring on much criticism, and Powell is out front softening the ground so as to disallow cogent objections.
I should also say that I find it interesting that Powell had no problems with the Republican Party when he was flying around the world on Air Force One, and/or when he was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, or when he was being asked to bear the Republican standard by becoming the Party's candidate for President. Powell's latent disingenuousness is an insult and offense to those of reasonable minds.

Real Stats on "Gun Violence"
This is an objective, homemade video from Guns America explaining some of the numbers on gun violence in the US and how the media and politicians are ignoring the real numbers and attempting to play on emotions. Violent crime has been declining for many years in the US, and compared to the UK, we have a much lower overall rate.
We do have a problem with violent crime in our inner cities, including gun homicides, 75% of which is related to gang violence. As we explained in our Appeal to Women & Minority Gun Owners, the current media blitz against guns is racist and extremely callous about the real problems in our inner cities. This video identifies the problem, population centers of over 250,000.
The Heller and Robertson decisions originated in Chicago and Washington D.C. respectively. If we don’t give any ground right now, our inner cities are on the way to at least arming the victims. And as the video explains at the end: “Improve the poverty level, create jobs, improve the educational system. That is how you are going to reduce crime in those neighborhoods. ” Again, the bottom line - memorize these for arguments with your liberal douche bag friends: ~ In the last 20 years the United States 50% reduction in violent crime rate and 54% reduction in murder rate. For 2011 England and Wales 3 times the violent crime rate that the US has. ~ Of all the homicides in the U.S. only 3.5% caused by rifles the AR rifle being a sub-set or small category of rifles overall.

Debt Limit Crisis
Currently the U.S. Debt is at $16,400,000,000,000.00 +
That's 16.4 Trillion dollars. This is the money we have borrowed and mostly owe to foreign countries to pay for our government programs, be it defense, energy, welfare, other entitlements,......entitlements being most of the government expenditures.
The U.S. Government is scheduled to spend an estimated $ 1.5 trillion this year over what is expected to be raised by revenues, therefore increasing the national debt to almost $18 Trillion.
This national debt does not, repeat, does not count for the unfunded program of Medicare and Social Security which will soon be bankrupt. How soon? Certainly before any 40 year old are eligible to receive it.
The House is set to vote (this coming week) on allowing the debt ceiling to be raised, allowing the U.S. Government to borrow more money to run the government. Obama refuses to discuss spending cuts to make the necessary borrowing less. What a shame,....what a dirt bag.
The American people, by and large, do not want to incur anymore debt as highlighted by a recent Yahoo! poll.
Yahoo! POLL with 235,591 people voting:
Should the debt limit be raised?
70% voted that "No, we can't afford it." 30% voted that "Yes, we can't afford not to."......meaning I want my welfare check!

Patriots Against Obama's Attack on Gun Rights
All is not lost if you have read several accounts from Patriots across the Country responding to President Obama's thinly disguised Anti-Gun executive orders and recommendations. The Democrats are spinning gun control as "gun violence reduction", using children as props to make it seem like failure to follow or accept Obama's dicates somehow places children at risk.
The Tea Party News Network sent out a great article on what actions people are taking to not accept Obama's illegal graps of power not enumerated by the Constitution.
Lawmakers and Law Enforcement Announce Resistance to Executive Orders on Gun Control January 17, 2013, By Greg Campbell, Contributor,TPNN Contributor
As Americans review the astounding 23 executive orders signed on Wednesday to strengthen gun control measures on a federal level, many officials across the country are declaring that they are unwilling to enforce such mandates.
As TPNN reported, Wyoming is considering legislation that would make it illegal to enforce Obama’s executive orders and Texas has joined them. However, many other lawmakers have joined the effort to resist the gun control edicts that have originated from the executive branch.
According to sources on Capitol Hill, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is expected to introduce legislation that will nullify and prohibit Obama’s executive orders, defund them and ask the Senate to file a court challenge to them.
Taking the fight one step further, Texas Congressman Steve Stockman has threatened to begin impeachment proceedings against President Obama if he violates the Constitution via executive orders. He stated:
“The White House has indicated they are willing to use Executive Orders to infringe upon the God-given right to keep and bear arms protected by the Second Amendment from government intrusion. President Obama announced the specifics of his anti-gun sneak attack today, though he refuses to answer questions regarding his own illegal transfer of weapons to Mexican drug lords. Among the Executive Orders issued are tracking of your firearms, which creates a de facto national gun registry, and a White House demand for laws regulating the private transfer of firearms…
Impeachment is not something to be taken lightly. It is a grave and serious undertaking that should only be initiated in a sober and serious manner. It should be reserved only for most egregious of trespasses by the President. I would consider using Executive Orders to engage in attacks on a constitutionally-protected right and violating his sworn oath of office to be such a trespass.”
In a letter to Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves and House Speaker Philip Gunn, Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant asked state lawmakers to resist President Obama’s executive orders, writing,...
“I am asking that you immediately pass legislation that would make any unconstitutional order by the president illegal to enforce in Mississippi by state or local law enforcement.”
The list goes on…
But beyond the steps of state capitols, local law enforcement officials across the country have made clear their intention of upholding their oaths to uphold the laws of their state and have declared their unwillingness to abide what many see to be unlawful edicts.
In my home state of Oregon, a state that consistently votes Democratic, sheriffs from numerous counties have written letters declaring that they will refuse to enforce any law they consider to be unconstitutional. In such a letter, Linn County Sheriff Tim Mueller (picture of Sheriff Muellar at top) wrote:
“We are Americans. We must not allow, nor shall we tolerate, the actions of criminals, no matter how heinous the crimes, to prompt politicians to enact laws that will infringe upon the liberties of responsible citizens who have broken no laws.”
Mueller later stated, “We’re restricted and prohibited from enforcing all types of federal laws, including immigration laws. It would be unreasonable for anyone to think that I would enforce a federal firearms law.”
As America waits to see how Obama’s executive actions will take effect, lawmakers and law enforcers across the country have signaled that this fight is far from over.

Charlie Weese's Final Column
Charlie Weese's Final Column. If you have read it once before, good! Read it again. Pass this on to all your friends, liberal and conservative.
Charley Reese's final column for the Orlando Sentinel... He has been a journalist for 49 years. He is retiring and this is his last column. Boy, he sure makes sense. Be sure to read the Tax List at the end.
This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican or democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day. It's a short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!
545 vs. 300,000,000 People
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority.
They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing.
I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. ( The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.)
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House?( John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. ) If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. [The House has passed a budget but the Senate has not approved a budget in over three years. The President's proposed budgets have gotten almost unanimous rejections in the Senate in that time.]
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan......
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees... We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Admiral Lyons says "Benghazi was Engineered by Obama"
From an article by Floyd and Mary Beth Brown, released on 11 January 2013.
It's even worse than we previously thought. A retired four-star admiral is now claiming that Barack Obama intentionally conspired with America's enemies to stage a bogus attack and the kidnapping of an American ambassador so he could "negotiate" the release of a "hostage" and bolster his mediocre approval ratings just prior to the election?
The Washington Examiner, quoting retired Four-Star Admiral James Lyons, writes: "the attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi... was the result of a bungled abduction attempt.... the first stage of an international prisoner exchange... that would have ensured the release of Omar Abdel Rahman, the 'Blind Sheik'..."
But something went horribly wrong with Obama's "October Surprise." Although the Obama Administration intentionally gutted security at the consulate prior to the staged kidnapping, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty disobeyed direct orders to stand down, saved American lives, single-handedly killed scores of attackers...and the attackers, believing that the Obama had betrayed them, tortured Ambassador Chris Stevens and dragged his body through the streets.
Some will say that Admiral Lyons' accusation is not a smoking gun. We agree, that's exactly why Congress must investigate Benghazi-gate.
Moreover, we firmly believe the problem with Admiral Lyons' assertion is that he is only scratching the surface the full and complete truth may be much, much worse.
Benghazi-gate is not about a bogus YouTube video series of lies. It's not about the Obama Administration's foreign policy ineptitude. We are dealing with something much more sinister... something potentially treasonous... and the following questions, posed in an article in The New American, go to the heart of the matter:
1. "What was the Obama administration's full role in helping violent Jihadists, self-styled al Qaeda terrorists, and Western-backed "revolutionaries" take over Libya in the first place?
2. Did that half-baked scheme to arm Jihadist leaders, who... had previously fought U.S. troops in Iraq, contribute to the attack, as countless experts and officials have suggested?
3. What was actually going on at the compound in Benghazi, which as the report states, was never a "consulate" despite establishment media claims?
4. Was Ambassador Stevens recruiting and arming Jihadists and terrorists to wage war on the Syrian regime after what Obama called the "success" in Libya, as a growing body of credible evidence suggests?
5. Why did the administration claim for so long that the attack was just a "protest" over a YouTube video gone awry, even when it knew definitively that was not the case?
6. Was the lack of security at the compound a political ploy to conceal the extent of the lawlessness and utter chaos left in the wake of Obama's unconstitutional "regime change" war on Libya, as even members of Congress have alleged?"
It's clear. Benghazi-Gate is only a small piece of a much larger operation, an attempt to conceal what The New American calls; "the Obama administration's full role in helping violent Jihadists and self-styled al Qaeda terrorists."
Prior to the election Barack Obama continually told us that "Osama bin-Laden is dead and GM is alive," but the sad truth is that Osama bin-Laden's organization is alive and well and the Obama Regime may be giving aid and comfort to this terrorist network.
And prior to the election, Fox News' Geraldo Rivera pontificated that Republicans shouldn't "politicize" Benghazi-gate. Swaggering onto the set of Fox and Friends Rivera bloviated: "I think we have to stop this politicizing" and Rivera issued the following veiled warning to Republicans: "Do we want to try and influence the election with a tragedy that happened in North Africa?"
Ironic, isn't it? Barack Obama played politics with the lives of Americans, like Rivera, the media covered Obama's rear and threatened to accuse anyone and everyone who mentioned it of "playing politics."
Weak-willed Republicans apparently took Rivera's threat to heart as Rivera also said that Republican Senators John Barrasso, James Inhofe and Bob Corker, who all sit on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee "all agree that the supercharged atmosphere around the story — prudence dictates that these hearings be postponed until" after the election.
Well, the election has come and gone. Congress now has no excuse. The American people needed the truth before the election, but now that Obama is back in the White House real conservatives must demand answers.
The American people deserve to have those questions answered and moreover the American people deserve justice.

County Sheriffs vs Over Bearing Federal Government
A high-profile former sheriff who once sued the U.S. government over its gun regulations – and won – says it’s the local sheriff who will have to defend Americans when and if the feds start banning and confiscating guns.
Richard Mack, a former sheriff in Graham County, Ariz., joined with then-Ravalli County Sheriff Jay Printz in a lawsuit against Washington when Bill Clinton demanded sheriffs enforce provisions of the Brady Bill gun-control law.
He won. And since then he’s been at the front of a movement that highlights the responsibility of local sheriffs.
Now, as Washington gears up to consider imperious plans to limit guns, require fingerprinting and registration, impose additional taxes and fees, ban particular features or functions outright, and even confiscate weapons of self-defense, Mack has told WND that there’s hope remaining in local law enforcement.
It’s not complicated, he said.
“Gun control is illegal, and it’s against the Constitution,” he said. “What people don’t realize is that the Second Amendment was designed to protect us from the power of the federal government.”
He said he would expect sheriffs across the country to defend the rights of ordinary Americans.
“I hope and pray America’s sheriffs won’t allow any more gun control,” Mack said. “The sheriffs need to be united in letting the federal government know that we’re not going to allow it.
“In the ’90s when I was the sheriff of Graham County, Ariz., we worked with other sheriffs and stopped two or three Brady Bills,” he recalled, a fight that he’s been detailing in seminars with sheriffs.
He said the office is critical, as it’s not only in law enforcement, but also is elected directly by the people.
“Out of 200 sheriffs with whom I’ve met, I’ve only had one give me a wishy-washy answer. That one said he would try to take the federal government to court,” Mack said. “Most of them have said they would lay down their lives first rather than allow any more federal control. They also said they would do everything they could to stop gun control and gun confiscation.”
Alan Stang at News With Views wrote about another battle Mack encountered while sheriff. A bridge had washed out and parents were driving children 26 miles to school, which physically was located only half a mile across a river.
The county decided the fix the bridge and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers warned that an environmental study alone would take 10 years. Mack promised to provide protection for the workers, and said he’d call out a posse if needed.
The bridge was built.
Stang wrote about other close encounter between sheriffs and the feds:
Find out who is working to aid Barack Obama in the destruction of the 2nd Amendment, in “America Disarmed.”
“In 1997, in Nye County, Nev., federal agents arrived to seize cattle that belonged to rancher Wayne Hage. The sheriff gave them a choice: skedaddle or be arrested. They skedaddled. … In Idaho, a 74-year-old rancher shot an endangered gray wolf which had killed one of his calves. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service sent three armed agents to serve a warrant. Lemhi County Sheriff Brett Barslou said that was ‘inappropriate, heavy-handed and dangerously close to excessive force.’ More than 500 people turned out for a rally in the small towns of Challis and Salmon to support the sheriff and the rancher and to tell the federal government to back off.”
Mack, who’s written “The Magic of Gun Control,” said if there is an actual specific plan to start taking Americans’ weapons, he expects a response.
“If the federal government wants to start a new Civil War, all they need to do is go ahead with gun confiscation,” Mack said.
Just a day earlier, WND reported that Firearms Coalition Executive Director Jeff Knox said Second Amendment supporters aren’t planning negotiations with Obama over gun control.
“We are not going to back down. We are not going to give in. And we are not going to concede one more inch,” Knox said.
He was responding to questions about America’s response to plans like those from Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., to demand gun registration, bans and fingerprinting in the wake of the Sandy Hook school shooting in Connecticut.
“Unfortunately, the president and other anti-rights politicians are not doing anything to keep what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary from happening again,” he said. “Instead they are going after law-abiding gun owners and targeting commonly owned firearms and ammunition feeding devices. Their proposed restrictions on these items would have had no impact on what happened at Sandy Hook, and, if passed, would not stop the next craven murderer from wreaking just as much havoc and destruction.”
Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt shares Mack’s opinion.
“The county sheriffs need to act and make new deputies to stop federal authority in the counties,” Pratt told WND. “This is a defensible idea. He can deputize people to serve since they are the ones who voted for him to represent them. A lot of citizens would stand up for their Second Amendment rights if they were protected by the sheriff.”
He cited a move that already is surging among states to adopt laws and use the Tenth Amendment to curb federal activity. The Tenth Amendment simply reserves to the states and the people all responsibilities not specifically assigned to Washington in the Constitution.
Pratt noted the move that over the past few years has seen eight states adopt laws that exempt firearms made, sold and kept in the state from federal oversight. The federal government has taken the issue to court, where it remains at this point.
“A number of states are passing laws that use the Tenth Amendment to curb federal control. Their law says that if a gun is made in the state and sold in the state, that the federal government has no control over it,” Pratt said.
He provided additional examples of what already has resulted from sheriffs’ disputes with the feds.
“In Elkhart County, Ind., there was a farmer who produced raw milk. The Department of Justice was investigating the farmer and was trying to shut down the farm,” Pratt said. “Elkhart County Sheriff Brad Rogers defended the farmer by saying that without a warrant signed by a judge and without probable cause, they had no jurisdiction to investigate the farmer within his jurisdiction of Elkhart County.”
“Rogers said that if they didn’t leave, he would arrest them. The DoJ threatened to arrest him, but Rogers sent his deputies to defend the farmer,” Pratt said. “The feds have had to back off.”
He also said local officials in New Mexico burned trees from a small parcel of federal land to halt a raging forest fire.
“The sheriff is the chief officer in the county even on federal land if the land is in the county,” Pratt said.
But Washington is not idle. Barack Obama said he will put the weight of his office behind gun control, and Feinstein even has proposed a federal gun buyback program that has been endorsed by about 40 members of Congress.
Feinstein’s dedication to eliminating the Second Amendment is unquestioned.
The California Democrat was one of sponsors of the so-called “Brady Bill,” the 1995 “assault weapons” ban. Faced with the limitations placed in the version that was making its way through Congress, Feinstein said, “If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States, for an outright ban, picking up every gun in America, Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ‘em all in.”
Mack, who is also the founder of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association, said Feinstein is a “polimagician,” a political leader who believes his or her policies will work magic for their constituents.
“They think they’re special and better than everyone else. Feinstein’s [own] concealed carry permit is the product of this elitist attitude,” Mack said. He said Congress and Obama simply are loading their political agenda onto the backs of the victims of Sandy Hook.
He said gun control through history produces one result: “Genocide.”
Pratt warned that Washington’s strategy will accomplish nothing but creating vast new ranks of felons in America.
“A lot of Americans spend an awful lot of money on these guns. I don’t think there will be very many who will willingly accept $200 for a gun that they paid $500 to $1,000 for,” Pratt said.
The last two major gun rights cases that went before the U.S. Supreme Court were decided in favor of gun rights, and as a followup the Second Amendment Foundation has been taking on local and state restrictions.
Recently, a federal judge struck down a North Carolina provision that authorizes a ban on firearms and ammunition outside homes during “a declared emergency,” determining that violates the Second Amendment.
WND reported earlier when residents of King, N.C., were startled by the banishment of firearms during a “declared snow emergency.”
Judge Malcolm J. Howard wrote, “[T]he court finds that the statutes at issue here are subject to strict scrutiny. … While the bans imposed pursuant to these statutes may be limited in duration, it cannot be overlooked that the statutes strip peaceable, law abiding citizens of the right to arm themselves in defense of hearth and home, striking at the very core of the Second Amendment.”
“When SAF attorney Alan Gura won the Heller case at the Supreme Court,” noted SAF Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb, “the gun ban crowd said that we were a ‘one-trick-pony’ and that we would never knock out another gun law. Well, SAF has now knocked out gun laws in Maryland, Illinois and North Carolina.”
This is a very well written article original published on WND, by Michael Carl who is a veteran journalist with overseas military experience and experience as a political consultant. He also has two Master's Degrees, is a bi-vocational pastor and lives with his family in the Northeast United States.

Gun Control - Yes It Works
Yes, Gun Control does work,.....if you are a totaltarian regime intent of disarming the population so you can round them up for forced labor camps or execution. And make no mistake about this registration crap. In order to confiscate guns, you first have to have a registery.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. Subsequently, from 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, deprived of the means to defend themselves, were rounded up and killed.
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. Then, from 1929 to 1953, approximately 20 millon dissidents were rounded up and killed.
In 1938 Germany established gun control. From 1939 to 1945 over 13 million Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, mentally ill, union leaders, Catholics and others, unable to fire a shot in protest, were rounded up and killed.
In 1935, China established gun control. Subsequently, between 1948 and 1952, over 20 million dissidents were rounded up and killed.
In 1956, Cambodia enshrined gun control. In just two years (1975-1977) over one million "educated" people were rounded up and killed.
In 1964, Guatemala locked in gun control. From 1964 to 1981, over 100,000 Mayan Indians were rounded up and killed as a result of their inability to defend themselves.
In 1970, Uganda embraced gun control. Over the next nine years over 300,000 Christians were rounded up and killed.
In all, over 56-million people have died because of gun control in the last century.
I know some of you liberals will be saying, "We are not like the rest of the world",....true for a short time, then we'll be just like Greece,....bankrupt.

Obama and Biden's Terrible Joke on America
Nobody with any common sense expected Biden and his hand chosen anti-gun liberals on the highly publicized Gun Violence Task Force to work on anything but how to restrict gun ownership. It was telling that one of Biden's task force members was Attorney General Eric Holder the biggest importer of guns to criminals in U.S. history. What is also telling is that Obama signed an order today allowing himself Secret Service protection for life,.....so Obama will have guns around him for life but he wants to restrict the ability of common American's to protect themselves.
Statement From the NRA Regarding Thursday's White House Task Force Meeting on "Gun Violence":
Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association of America is made up of over 4 million moms and dads, daughters and sons, who are involved in the national conversation about how to prevent a tragedy like Newtown from ever happening again. We attended today's White House meeting to discuss how to keep our children safe and were prepared to have a meaningful conversation about school safety, mental health issues, the marketing of violence to our kids and the collapse of federal prosecutions of violent criminals.
We were disappointed with how little this meeting had to do with keeping our children safe and how much it had to do with an agenda to attack the Second Amendment. While claiming that no policy proposals would be “prejudged,” this Task Force spent most of its time on proposed restrictions on lawful firearms owners - honest, taxpaying, hardworking Americans. It is unfortunate that this Administration continues to insist on pushing failed solutions to our nation's most pressing problems. We will not allow law-abiding gun owners to be blamed for the acts of criminals and madmen. Instead, we will now take our commitment and meaningful contributions to members of congress of both parties who are interested in having an honest conversation about what works - and what does not.
NRA. Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. Four million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services. Witness to History
December 22, 2012 - “What I am about to tell you is something you’ve probably never heard or read in history books,” she likes to tell audiences.
“I am a witness to history."
“I cannot tell you that Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history."
If you remember the plot of the Sound of Music, the Von Trapp family escaped over the Alps rather than submit to the Nazis. Kitty wasn’t so lucky. Her family chose to stay in her native Austria. She was 10 years old, but bright and aware. And she was watching.
“We elected him by a landslide – 98 percent of the vote,” she recalls.
She wasn’t old enough to vote in 1938 – approaching her 11th birthday. But she remembers.
“Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his tanks and took Austria by force.”
No so.
Hitler is welcomed to Austria
“In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce was unem- ployed. We had 25 percent inflation and 25 percent bank loan interest rates.
Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people were go- ing from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want to work; there simply weren’t any jobs.
“My mother was a Christian woman and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30 daily.’
“We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany, where Hitler had been in power since 1933.” she recalls. “We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or crime, and they had a high standard of living.
Austrian girls welcome Hitler
“Nothing was ever said about persecution of any group – Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe that everyone in Germany was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria. We were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be assisted, and farmers would get their farms back.
“Ninety-eight percent of the population voted to annex Austria to Germany and have Hitler for our ruler.
“We were overjoyed,” remembers Kitty, “and for three days we danced in the streets and had candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and everyone was fed.
Austrians saluting
“After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle, we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through the Public Work Service.
“Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his family. Many women in the teach- ing profession were elated that they could retain the jobs they previously had been re- quired to give up for marriage.
“Then we lost religious education for kids
“Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school.. The population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools. The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang ‘Deutschland, Deutschland, Uber Alles,’ and had physical education.
“Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300, and the third time they would be subject to jail.”
And then things got worse.
“The first two hours consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports. As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports equipment free.
“We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the wonderful time we had.
“My mother was very unhappy,” remembers Kitty. “When the next term started, she took me out of public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn’t do that and she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political indoctrination.
“I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing.
“Their loose lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that time, unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler.
“It seemed strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn’t exposed to that kind of hu- manistic philosophy.
“In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time, a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn’t work, you didn’t get a ration card, and if you didn’t have a card, you starved to death.
“Women who stayed home to raise their families didn’t have any marketable skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.
“Soon after this, the draft was implemented.
Young Austrians
“It was compulsory for young people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps,” remembers Kitty. “During the day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their barracks for military training just like the boys.
“They were trained to be anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines. When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service."
“When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government immediately es- tablished child care centers. “You could take your children ages four weeks old to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, seven days a week, under the total care of the government."
“The state raised a whole generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had."
“Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors trained at the University of Vienna. After Hitler, health care was socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government. The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40 people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were full."
“If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into socialized medicine. Research at the med- ical schools literally stopped, so the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries. “As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80 percent of our income. Newlyweds immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a household. We had big programs for families." “All day care and education were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as food stamps, clothing, and housing."
"We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him he had to replace them with round tables because peo- ple might bump themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar. He couldn’t meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it could be in control."
“We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the live-stock, and then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.
“In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps. The villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. “So people intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and did good manual work."
“I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness."
“As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died within 6 months. We called this euthanasia."
“Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not long afterwards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile not to comply voluntarily."
“No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up."
“Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943, to realize full dictatorship in Austria. Had it happened overnight, my countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our freedom.”
“This is my eye-witness account."
“It’s true. Those of us who sailed past the Statue of Liberty came to a country of unbelievable freedom and opportunity. America is truly is the greatest country in the world. “Don’t let freedom slip away. After America, there is no place to go.”

If this Happended to You
You're sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door.
Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers.
At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way.
With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun.
You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it.
In the darkness, you make out two shadows.
One holds something that looks like a crowbar.
When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire.
The blast knocks both thugs to the floor.
One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches
As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you're in trouble.
In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless.
Yours was never registered.
Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died.
They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm.
When you talk to your attorney, he tells you not to worry: authorities will probably plea the case down to manslaughter.
"What kind of sentence will I get?" you ask.
"Only ten-to-twelve years," he replies, as if that's nothing. "Behave yourself, and you'll be out in seven."
The next day, the shooting is the lead story in the local newspaper. Somehow, you're portrayed as an eccentric vigilante while the two men you shot are represented as choirboys.
Their friends and relatives can't find an unkind word to say about them.
Buried deep down in the article, authorities acknowledge that both "victims" have been arrested numerous times.
But the next day's headline says it all: "Lovable Rogue Son Didn't Deserve to Die."
The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters.
As the days wear on, the story takes wings.
The national media picks it up, then the international media.
The surviving burglar has become a folk hero.
Your attorney says the thief is preparing to sue you, and he'll probably win.
The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and that you've been critical of local police for their lack of effort in apprehending the suspects.
After the last break-in, you told your neighbor that you would be prepared next time.
The District Attorney uses this to allege that you were lying in wait for the burglars.
A few months later, you go to trial.
The charges haven't been reduced, as your lawyer had so confidently predicted.
When you take the stand, your anger at the injustice of it all works against you.
Prosecutors paint a picture of you as a mean, vengeful man.
It doesn't take long for the jury to convict you of all charges.
The judge sentences you to life in prison.
This case really happened.
On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth, Norfolk , England , killed one burglar and wounded a second.
In April, 2000, he was convicted and is now serving a life term.
How did it become a crime to defend one's own life in the once great British Empire?
It started with the Pistols Act of 1903.
This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license. The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns.
Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and mandated the registration of all shotguns.
Momentum for total handgun confiscation began in earnest after the Hungerfordmass shooting in 1987.
Michael Ryan, a mentally disturbed man with a Kalashnikov rifle, walked down the streets shooting everyone he saw.
When the smoke cleared, 17 people were dead.
The British public, already de-sensitized by eighty years of "gun control", demanded even tougher restrictions. (The seizure of all privately owned handguns was the objective even though Ryan used a rifle.)
Nine years later, at Dunblane , Scotland , Thomas Hamilton used a semi-automatic weapon to murder 16 children and a teacher at a public school.
For many years, the media had portrayed all gun owners as mentally unstable, or worse, criminals. Now the press had a real kook with which to beat up law-abiding gun owners. Day after day, week after week, the media gave up all pretense of objectivity and demanded a total ban on all handguns. The Dunblane Inquiry, a few months later, sealed the fate of the few sidearms still owned by private citizens.
During the years in which the British government incrementally took away most gun rights, the notion that a citizen had the right to armed self-defense came to be seen as vigilantism. Authorities refused to grant gun licenses to people who were threatened, claiming that self-defense was no longer considered a reason to own a gun. Citizens who shot burglars or robbers or rapists were charged while the real criminals were released.
Indeed, after the Martin shooting, a police spokesman was quoted as saying, "We cannot have people take the law into their own hands."
All of Martin's neighbors had been robbed numerous times, and several elderly people were severely injured in beatings by young thugs who had no fear of the consequences. Martin himself, a collector of antiques, had seen most of his collection trashed or stolen by burglars.
When the Dunblane Inquiry ended, citizens who owned handguns were given three months to turn them over to local authorities.
Being good British subjects, most people obeyed the law. The few who didn't were visited by police and threatened with ten-year prison sentences if they didn't comply.
Police later bragged that they'd taken nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens. How did the authorities know who had handguns? The guns had been registered and licensed. Kind of like cars. Sound familiar?
WAKE UP AMERICA ; THIS IS WHY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS PUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN OUR CONSTITUTION.
"...It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds.." --Samuel Adams

Al Gore Sells Out to Radical Islamist Supporters
Gaining very little traction in the liberal, mainstream press is the story of former Vice President Al Gore selling his Current TV channel to Al Jazeera for somewhere in the $500 million price range.
Al Gore, of course, is the leading propagandist on global warning and had made every effort to get Americans either through choice or regulation to quit using fossil fuel based sources, reducing their carbon footprints. Ever the hypocrite, Gore maintains a giant mansion in Tennessee using butt loads of energy in a common liberal trait of "do as I say and not as I do" otherwise known as "we elites are exempt from mandates for the common man".
The hypocritcal thing, since Gore supports higher taxes on the rich, is that Gore hurried to get this sale done in 2012 before the Obama forced higher tax rates would have greatly diminshed his profits from this sale if enacted in 2013.
Another telling fact is that Gore rejected Glenn Beck and The Blaze's offer to buy Current TV. Beck was reportedly told that "the legacy of who the (Current TV) network goes to is important to the owners and we (Current TV) are sensitive to networks not aligned with our point of view."
Well then I guess that Al Jazeera must be aligned with Al Gore and Current TV's point of view for the sale of Al Jazeera to go through.
Let's see what Al Jazeera, owned by the Qatari Government believes in:
Islamic beliefs traditions provide are the foundation of the country’s customs, laws. Shariah law is the standard in Qatar.
Homosexual activity is outlawed; Gays are prohibited from living in Qatar. And Women have minimal rights.
So the views of Al Jazeera are closer to Al Gore and the liberal Current TV than Glenn Beck, a conservative, Christian. Really?..........This is another slap in the face America and our traditions by the two faced liberals, in this case led by that stinking pole cat Al Gore. In any case, good riddance.

Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense?
From an Associated Press article — Former Nebraska Sen. Chuck Hagel is a contrarian Republican moderate and decorated Vietnam combat veteran who is likely to support a more rapid withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.
As President Barack Obama's top candidate for defense secretary, Hagel has another credential important to the president: a personal relationship with Obama, forged when they were in the Senate and strengthened during overseas trips they took together.
Cowboys and Tea Parties comment: On the surface, Hagel appears to be a moderate choice for Obama given Obama's very radical and extremely unqualified cabinent. However, Carl Levin's support of Hagel is disconcerting as is Hagel's own comment's about Sarah Palin being unqualified for Vice-President when Obama became President within much, much less experience (or even common sense). Hagel's non-supportive comments over Israel are very troubling as well. A major point over Hagel's decision making may also come into question as Hagel's opinions on troop surges and strategy in Afghanistan were dead wrong.
Hagel, 66, emerged several weeks ago as the front-runner for the Pentagon's top job, four years after leaving behind a Senate career in which he carved out a reputation as an independent thinker and blunt speaker.
Wounded during the Vietnam War, Hagel backed the Iraq war, but later became a fierce and credible critic of the Bush administration's war policies, making routine trips to Iraq and Afghanistan. He opposed President George W. Bush's plan to send an additional 30,000 troops into Iraq — a move that has been credited with stabilizing the chaotic country — as "the most dangerous foreign policy blunder in this country since Vietnam, if it's carried out."
While Hagel supported the Afghanistan war resolution, over time he has become more critical of the decade-plus conflict, with its complex nation-building effort.
Often seeing the Afghan war through the lens of his service in Vietnam, Hagel has declared that militaries are "built to fight and win wars, not bind together failing nations." In a radio interview this year, he spoke broadly of the need for greater diplomacy as the appropriate path in Afghanistan, noting that "the American people want out" of the war.
If nominated — an announcement could come this week — and confirmed by the Senate, Hagel would succeed Defense Secretary Leon Panetta. Panetta has made it clear he intends to leave early next year, but has not publicly discussed the timing of his departure. He took the Pentagon job in July 2011.
At the same time, Obama is considering one of Hagel's former Senate colleagues, Democrat John Kerry of Massachusetts, for the job of secretary of state.
To political and defense insiders, Obama's preference for Hagel makes sense.
The former senator shares many of the same ideals of Obama's first Pentagon leader, Republican Robert Gates. When Obama became president in 2009, he asked Gates to remain as defense secretary. Both Hagel and Gates talk of the need for global answers to regional conflicts and an emphasis on so-called soft power, including economic and political aid, to bolster weak nations.
"A Hagel nomination signals an interest in, and a commitment to continuing a bipartisan approach to national security," said David Berteau, senior vice president at the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
He said that Hagel's two terms in the Senate, before he retired in 2009, spanned the latter years of the post-Cold War military drawdown and the post-Sept. 11 buildup. "From a budget point of view he has seen both ends of the spectrum and that gives him a good perspective to start from."
Hagel's possible selection has been met with initial praise from key members of the Senate, including the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., who said Hagel would be "terrific."
The choice could trigger opposition from some Jewish groups and may worry Democrats concerned about Israel-related issues. Hagel has criticized discussion of a military strike by either the U.S. or Israel against Iran. He also has backed efforts to bring Iran to the table for talks on future peace in Afghanistan.
"The appointment of Chuck Hagel would be a slap in the face for every American who is concerned about the safety of Israel," said Matt Brooks, executive director of the Republican Jewish Coalition.
Hagel often straddled party lines and had some high-profile dustups with his Republican colleagues.
In 2008, he criticized GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, saying she lacked foreign policy credentials and that it would be "a stretch" to consider her qualified to become president. His wife, Lilibet Hagel, endorsed Obama in his first run for president. Hagel also was mentioned as a possible candidate for Pentagon chief when Obama was first elected.
As defense secretary, Hagel would preside over the withdrawal of combat troops from Afghanistan and the waning days of the war, and would direct some of the steepest cuts in Pentagon spending in years. His task would be to restructure a pared down military that can step away from the grinding wars of the past 11 years and refocus on a swath of regional challenges from Syria, Iran and North Korea to terrorism in Africa and the defense buildup in the Pacific.
A big benefit will be his experience and his allies on Capitol Hill.
"Certainly his name coming forward is one I'm very open to," said Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., who served with Hagel on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. "I had good relations with him while he was in the Senate. Certainly (he's) a veteran and someone who also spent a lot of time around the world understanding the relations other countries have with the U.S. and vice versa."
Defense analyst Loren Thompson, of the Virginia-based Lexington Institute think tank, said Hagel knows the political system and is known for thinking outside the box, which would help as budget cuts move forward.
"He's a veteran who understands how Congress works and has stayed plugged in to developments in defense policy," Thompson said. "He is not tied to the status quo and will think creatively about how to manage America's military forces."

Senator Diane Feinstein's Semi-Auto Ban bill
Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA) has published what her firearms ban bill will contain. The link to her publication is down below. Her bill would require:
All currently owned semi-auto firearms, handguns and rifles, that can use a magazine that can hold more than ten rounds must be registered as National Firearms Act items. That registration will be with the federal government.
1. There will be 120 named firearms that will become NFA firearms.
2. Such NFA automatic firearms require a $200.00 per firearm federal tax.
3. Newly made semi-automatic firearm will not be able to accept a magazine that contains more than ten rounds.
4. The point system is much more than in the prior (1994-2204) ban.
So, if you currently own a Glock, Springfield Armory XD, S&W or any other semi-auto pistol that will accept a magazine that can hold more than ten rounds, you will have register as described.
Same with a Ruger Mini-14, M1 Carbine, AR-type, Springfield Armory M1A or any other semi-auto rifle that will accept a magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds.
When the 120 firearms are named, it will most likely have shotguns in the list, for there was with the 1994-2004 gun ban. There were semi-auto and pump actions shotguns in that ban.
If Senator Feinstein has her unconstitutional way:
You will be registered with federal law enforcement. Like a convicted sex offender.
You will have to be fingerprinted and photographed by law enforcement.
You will have to surrender any magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds.
Of course, will have to get the required approval document from local law enforcement, for federal registration, you will also be registered with Vermont law enforcement.
You will have to hope that a local police department will sign off on you being able to register your newly designated NFA firearm. The PD may not want to accept such liability.
Of course, if you opt not to register, you will be able to surrender your firearm as possession of an unregistered NFA firearm or magazines that hold more than 10 rounds will be a federal felony offense.
