Reader (Entitlest) Response on Obamacare Repeal Effort

We received an Anonymous (go figure) comment on the previous Cowboys and Tea Parties post "Mike Huckabee for RepealHealthCareAct.org":

I was paying over $1200 per month for health insurance. Now, for the first time I can get it for about $500 per month with pre-existing conditions...and you want me to sign a petition against it. You do you people work for? Because it is not the people of the USA.

Cowboys response:

Sorry that you were paying $1,200 a month for health care,…that sucks. Was it because the Democrats and Unions would not let you cross state lines to get better (and cheaper) coverage? Or was the high cost due to the high density of tort claims against medical doctors that drove the price of medical care sky high? Oh,…who is paying the difference in your health care costs? The tax payers are,..that's who.

I know a dozen or so people whose health care costs have gone up,...gone up to generate funds to pay for health care for people like you. In fact, military retirees, who have not received a cost of living increase in years, are now receiving about $30 less a month. Not a lot money? It is when you retirement check is only $1000 a month. You see, with the government broke, the Obama administration has to get money from where it can, to fund their entitlement and union support programs.

Bottom line, the different between me and you is that little phrase “personal responsibility”. I do not expect someone else to pay my way. I am perfectly capable of providing, to the extent I can, for my family. I am not owed anything by the people. You evidently think you are owed.

What is your pre-existing condition? Adult On-set diabetes brought on by years of eating Big Macs and Frito chips and drinking sugar laden sodas? And now you expect the tax payers to pay for your lack of personal responsibility? Shame on you! You represent the “entitlement mentality” that is driving this country into the ground. In the immortal words of Mark Levin,…”Get off the air you big dope!”

Bankruptcy 101...why is the U.S. Bankrupt?

This is just well known. If the figures, which are extremely hard to be 100% accurate, are off even 25% then this is a HUGE problem.

12. The National Policy Institute estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period.

The total cost is a whopping $ 338.3 BILLION DOLLARS a year.

This amount of money, $338,300,000,000.00 could provide for a tremendous stimulus if used for good.

Unions and their Entitlements Destroying America

Now it's not just Wisconsin, but Indiana is addressing the destruction of America by the Unions and their entitlement mentality. I believe that most Americans don't know the issues with the Unions, the power of their collective bargaining and the ramifications (read havoc) that their "rights", pensions and other entitlements have brought to the States' budgets and, indeed, this Country.

Indiana has joined the labor union fight between Democrats and Republicans. Democratic lawmakers fled the state to protest the right-to-work law in front of the state legislature.

What is a right-to-work law? Here are some facts about what is known as right-to-work in the United States.

Right-to-Work and Labor Unions

When a law deals with the right to work, it talks about how labor unions are funded and empowered in various states. Some states require employees to be part of a union if they want to work for certain agencies. Other states do not have such a requirement. It's called "right-to-work" because employees won't have to pay anything to have a job if they don't want to.

You all heard President "Community Organizer" Obama state his opposition to union reforms that the Wisconsin Governor is trying to do....Obama called it an attack on the unions."

For example, in a right-to-work state, one can be a teacher without paying into the teachers' union. In a state without such a provision, employees are required to pay union dues for a union job. For workers, living in a right-to-work state means you don't have to pay union dues. Should the union strike, you would not have voting rights in the organization and can walk across picket lines.
