Two Days and a Wake Up to Positive Hope and Real Change,.....if we Vote!

Watching the news today enlightened me to the following poll numbers:
45% of Independents were going to vote Republican and 32% of the Independents would vote Democrat. These numbers , of course, are the reverse of what propelled Obama into the White House.

The poll further stated that women were 45 to 41% more likely, this election go round, to vote Republican. The Talking heads attributed these number to a shift of concerns from Cultural issues to Economic issues.

While I pray we can change the direction of the country, starting with voting out the Bums (Reid, Pelosi, Rangel, Dingell, Boxer, etc.) therefore the reason why people vote the Bums out would be secondary, I still can't agree to the reasoning being a shift from cultural issues to economic ones.

Sure, the economy is in a shambles, but what got us to this point is a hard left deviation from conservatives values: small government, self-responsibility, low taxation, manageable social programs, pro-business approach to regulations, and respect for laws to name a few. I can't help from feel that people are sick and tired of Anti-American rhetoric, political correctness and a hard move toward socialist, big government. If we change this direction, we fix the economy - plain and simple.

Let's get to it. Two Days and a Wake Up to Vote. Vote wisely and stay involved....after all it's your country and you are responsible for it.

Gonzales Flag - Come and Take It

Not necessarily the most popular flag at Tea Party rallies Nationwide, the Gonzales Flag still makes it's showing here and there. Popular due to it's connotation to Texans fighting for independence from Mexico particularly against over whelming odds at the Alamo, the Gonzales "Come and Take It" flag signifies Americans standing up for what they believe is right, no matter what the odds, as well as daring an authority to take what they'll defend.

During the Texas War for Independence from Mexico, the Mexican government requested the return of a seized cannon. The Texans responded by raising the banner! "COME AND TAKE IT"

The original Gonzales "come and take it" cannon was a Spanish-made, bronze artillery piece of six-pound caliber. The gun was the cause of fighting in late September and early October 1835 between a Mexican military detachment and Anglo colonists. The disagreement produced the battle of Gonzales, considered to be the first battle of the Texas Revolution. On January 1, 1831, the history of the cannon began when the colonists asked the political chief of Bexar, Mexico to make arrangements for a cannon to be furnished to the Gonzales colonists for protection against hostile Indians.

During September 1835, Colonel Domingo de Ugartechea, the military commander at Bexar, sent Corporal Casimiro De León and five soldiers of the Second Flying Company of San Carlos de Parras to retrieve the cannon. The Gonzales colonists notified Ugartechea they were keeping the gun and took the soldiers prisoner. The cannon was then buried in George W. Davis's peach orchard and couriers were sent out to obtain assistance. Ugartechea responded by sending 100 troops under Lt. Francisco de Castañeda to make a more serious request for the return of the gun.

On September 29, Capt. Robert M. Coleman arrived at Gonzales with a militia company of thirty mounted Indian fighters. The gun was retrieved from its shallow grave and mounted on a pair of cart wheels. After organization of the Texian "Army of the People" under Gen. Stephen F. Austin, the cannon was assigned to Capt. James C. Neill's artillery company and hauled to San Antonio . After the capture of Bexar in December 1835, the cannon remained at the Alamo, where it was one of twenty-one artillery pieces commandeered by the Mexican army upon the recapture of Bexar on March 6, 1836.

The name "Come and Take It" refers to the motto adopted by the Texian rebels. On the morning of October 2, 1835, Lieutenant Castañeda requested the cannon be returned to the Mexican military - a condition on which it had been loaned to DeWitt's Colony - but the Texians pointed to the gun which stood about 200 yards to their rear, and said, "there it is - come and take it." Soon after the conflict began, at the request of the Anglo leaders, the ladies of the settlement hastily made a flag to fly over the cannon. The flag featured a white ground with a black cannon in the center, and the motto "Come and take it!" above and below.

Edmund Burke and His Relevancy Today

The Right Honorable Edmund Burke (born January 12, 1729 and died July 9, 1797) was an Irish statesman who served for many years in the British House of Commons as a member of the Whig party. He was considered one of the finest political and philosophical orators in Britain . He is remembered for his support of the American colonies in the struggle against King George III that led to the American Revolution. Burke founded and published the Annual Register, a political review, and he is thought of as one of the philosophical founder of modern conservatism.

Some of my favorite Burke quotes and how I either interpret them or see relevancy today:

“The true danger is when liberty is nibbled away, for expedience, and by parts.” This is almost like Burke is standing among us today and commenting upon the degradation of civil liberties, excess regulations that squash business and anti-constitutional acts committed not only by the Obama Administration but by other by editions of the White House and Congress as well.


“By gnawing through a dike, even a rat may drown a nation.” This explains Burke’s view of the method of destruction of this Nation,…the slow, blow by blow whittling down of this Country’s great institutions, foremost among them the Constitution.


“Bad laws are the worst sort of tyranny.” From everything this side of environmental protection laws to gun laws, the People, their pursuit of happiness,……and the recovery of our economy is over burdened by a Federal Government way too large and who grabs too much power in their own interests of self perpetuation.

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” By far my favorite Burke quote, this serves as a rallying cry to us to stand up and be counted,…at the polls, through legislative contact,..letters to the editors, educating our children,…. and just plain talking to people. Ultimately, this is the founding reason why the Tea Party was created spontaneously across the country.

ATF Tries to Revoke "Montana Made" State Sovereignty Laws

We all predicted this would happen.

In a move typical for that fear-mongering organization with an ever-swelling acronym, the BATFE has written gun dealers in the states of Montana and Tennessee to let them know the BATFE will be disregarding the states' sovereign gun laws.

The "Montana Made" law, just like Tennessee's Firearms Freedom Act, is very simple.

Much of the claimed federal authority to regulate firearm sales and transfers stems from a liberal interpretation of every American tyrant's favorite subterfuge, the "interstate commerce" clause. In essence, this is what gives the BATFE its nasty teeth.

With this in mind, Montana correctly understood that any weapon made in Montana by Montana residents and sold in Montana to Montana residents is Montana's business and Montana's business alone.

Montana thus sought to take charge of its firearms industry with the application of a simple truism:

Any gun made in Montana by Montana residents and sold in Montana to Montana residents is intrastate commerce, not "interstate commerce," and thus does not fall under the purview of the federal government.

Potentially, the state would be able to say goodbye to NICS checks; Brady background checks; NFA taxes, bans and NFA databases -- and most importantly, federal "assault weapons" bans, which Montana and Tennessee rightly anticipated.

In effect, the "Montana Made" law would have permitted Montana gun companies to manufacture any kind of weapon banned by federal law -- including so-called "assault weapons" -- and sell them to fellow Montana residents.

Moreover, in this scenario, no one -- neither the manufacturer nor the dealer nor the buyer -- would have to kowtow to the BATFE by paying them a $200 tax and surrendering one's privacy to their notoriously inaccurate and oft-abused National Firearms Registry.

It was a new day for freedom -- and other states besides Tennessee were thinking of following suit: Alaska, Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas.

Well, the BATFE -- never one to have its power downplayed (or acronym belittled)-- has written letters to both Montana and Tennessee gun dealers letting them know that they proceed at their own risk.

We can only guess what new horrors those words portend -- probably more dead housewives and children as disgruntled ATF thugs shoot-to-kill anyone suspected of perhaps owning a firearm not properly taxed and regulated by Washington, D.C., power brokers.

What else would be new.

A few of our members expressed interest in contacting the BATFE to vent some righteous anger -- the same thing we did when the Department of Defense said they were going to ban all once-fired military brass for resale.

Remember how the DoD reneged on that commitment after just a few days due to the widespread backlash from gun owners and law enforcement?

Well, this is a bit different. Writing the ATF and providing them with your information is akin to giving thieves your home address and the hours you won't be home.

We're going to take a different, less dangerous approach.

We've been talking to state officials from both Montana and Tennessee today to try to figure out the best way we can help these state laws succeed.

More Back and Forth on Obama's Citizenship Issue

Regarding the previously posted Obama video concerning his citizenship and therefore Obama’s eligibility to be the President of the United States .

We have been having a good back and forth with "smrstrauss", who is articulate and has written some very good comments. In response to smrstrauss’ comments (which are in Italics) I make these responses:

I posted that video because out of Obama’s mouth comes the admission that he was born in Kenya . Whereas previously, Obama and his supporters, have stated repeatedly that he was born in Hawaii , where copies of a short form live birth certificate stating such have been released. If Obama wants to pull the wool over the American people’s eyes, then get your story straight first.

(Also,) do you think that the US Congress would have confirmed Obama's election UNANIMOUSLY if one of them thought that the citizenship of Obama's father affected his Natural Born Citizen status? What a minute,….do you mean the same Congress that has driven us to the brink of national bankruptcy? The same congress that grants benefits too themselves that the American people will not receive? The same Congress that passes laws in order to find out what is in the law?

The applicable part of the Constitution regarding eligibility to hold the office of the Presidency is Article II, The Executive Branch, Section 1 - The President where it states:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

The 14th Amendment applies to citizenship and states in paragraph 1, (that) All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

After the Wong Kim Ark case, there have been numerous federal court rulings that specifically state that the US-born children of foreigners are Natural Born Citizens. I agree with you on this. But despite your referencing a lot of court precedent,....on children born in the United States,....or it’s Territories, by/from U.S. Citizens,….. is just not applicable as Obama states he was born in Kenya and we know that his Father was not an American Citizen.

Obama has already shown the official birth certificate of Hawaii, and the facts on the document–that he was born in Hawaii in 1961—were confirmed twice by the officials of the Department of Health of Hawaii and by the governor of Hawaii (a Republican). Yes it’s true that Obama has previously listed Hawaii as his birthplace, but why did he say, on the video I posted on this site, that he was born in Kenya? Why does Michelle Obama refer to Kenya as Barack’s home?

Now after all this, I think this is an OBE event,…that means Overcome By Events.....closing the barn door after the horses got out......call it what you want, but I think electing a non- U.S. Citizen as President has set a bad precedent. All of those white conservatives were afraid to standup and be counted for fear of being called a racist. I am not calling for Obama’s removal from office, based on the citizenship issue. That will happened soon enough in January 2013 (we'll know on 3 Nov 2012). It will also be apparent in 8 days what the American People think about the direction he and his followers in Congress has taken this Country.

You all can comment on what you want, but this is the last I'm gonna to write about this issue, at least in the near future.

The Forgotten Man

Wow! I hope you all have the same reaction I did when I viewed Jon McNaughton's video, embedded below. Jon McNaughton an excellent painter, just look at the faces of President's Past that he captured on canvas,..look at the anguish on Geroge Bush's face!....Jon also demonstrates exceptional insight into how the majority of Americans feel about how the Constitution has been trampled on by the current President.

I do not agree with Jon's placement of Teddy Roosevelt in the group of our worst American Presidents: Obama, Clinton, Carter, FDR, Hoover, Wilson, and Cleveland. Teddy Roosevelt's heavy hand with free trade and captialism keep alot of people from dying in severe winters and he help break up alot of big business and transportation. Plus I like him for decking a Cowboy in a bar in Mingusville, Montana Territory, in 1885, who called him "four eyes", not to mention leading the Rough Rider charge against entrenched Spainish soldiers in Cuba. But there is no doubt that the Obama Administration, with it's appointed Czars, tax and spend policies, big government take over of industry and medicine is tramlping all over our beloved Constitution. Our only grace comes from the fact that his and his cronies combined pink slips will be announced 8 days from now.

Terminate Taxpayer Funding of National Public Radio
Savings of Tens of Millions of Dollars (potentially in excess of a hundred million dollars)
National Public Radio's (NPR) recent decision to terminate commentator Juan Williams contract because of comments he expressed on another station have brought new found attention to NPR's receipt of taxpayer funds.

NPR receives taxpayer funding in two different ways. First, they receive direct government grants from various federal agencies, including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Education, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Over the past two years this direct funding has totaled approximately $9 million. But NPR also receives taxpayer funds indirectly. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting makes grants to public radio stations. While some of these grants can be used for any purpose, some can only be used to acquire and produce programming. Often this programming is purchased from NPR. Indeed programming fees and dues paid by local public radio stations to NPR accounts for approximately 40% of NPR's budget or about $65 million last year. A portion of these funds were originally federal tax dollars provided to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to the local public radio stations.

NPR receives a significant amount of funding from private individuals and organizations through donations and sponsorships. For example in 2008, NPR listed over 32 separate private donors and sponsors who provided financial support in excess of half-a-million dollars that year. NPR officials have indicated that taxpayer funding makes up only a small portion of their overall budget. Therefore eliminating taxpayer support should not materially affect NPR’s ability to operate while at the same time saving taxpayers millions of dollars annually.


Terminate Exchanges with Historic Whaling and Trading Partners Program
Savings of $87.5 million over ten years
The Exchanges with Historic Whaling and Trading Partners program provides non-competitive grants to support culturally-based educational activities “to assist Alaska Natives, native Hawaiians, and children and families living in Massachusetts linked by history and tradition to Alaska and Hawaii, and members of any federally recognized Indian tribe in Mississippi.” The President has proposed terminating this program in part because it is non-competitive in nature, there is no reliable performance data by which to measure the outcomes of the program, and it has “narrow goals [that] are more appropriately served with State, local, and private funding.”


Terminate the Presidential Election Fund
Savings of $520 million over ten years.
The Presidential Election Fund is a federal program that provides matching funds to political candidates during Presidential primaries, certain third-party candidates, and funds for political conventions. In the 2008 Presidential election the candidates raised over $1.3 billion from individuals and PACs, in addition to taxpayer funds. Eliminating this additional taxpayer subsidy would allow those funds to be used for deficit reduction.

The video starts out with some content from obamasnippets.com, which, of course is contrived. And yet, there seems to be a synthetic truth about what the president says. Is he "natural born" according to the Constitution? No. The requirement is that BOTH parents need to be U. S. Citizens. Two U. S. Citizen parents produce a "natural born" citizen. It's likely that Mr. Obama was REGISTERED in Hawaii, therefore he has a COLB from Hawaii. The truth may well be he was born in Kenya; that is where we believe his "long-form" birth certificate was issued. Nevertheless, "natural born" indicates, and speaks to the fact that BOTH parents have to be U. S. Citizens. His father WAS NEVER a U. S. Citizen, therefore, Barack Hussein Obama is NOT a "natural born" Citizen of the United States, thus he is in violation of Amendment 14, and Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the United States Constitution.

Megyn Kelly Takes It to CAIR Executive

In the on-going flap over NPR firing Juan Williams over his remarks detailing personal feeling of anxiety on getting on a plane with Muslims,...Juan Williams' exact words: "When I get on a plane ... if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they’re identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried, I get nervous." FOX news anchor, Megyn Kelly takes Ibrahim Hooper, the executive director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), to task on their part in asking for Juan Williams' ouster.

Shall we also join the band wagon for removal of tax payers money to fund NPR? Damn right. Send your Congressman and Senator's an e-mail. Demand that this left wing organization NOT be funded with tax payer money.

Unfair Treatment on Christine O'Donnell,......again

I don't know what it is about pretty Republican Women but they sure draw the ire and spite of the Democrats and Socialists. Well I guess if you had really ugly women representing your cause like Hilary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and those two baboon looking women on the "View",...what are their names?...oh yeah, Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Behar,...then you would have something to be pissed off about. Oh soot, I almost forgot the Madame of Ugly,...Helen Thomas. But certainly no fair minded person could say Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell have received fair treatment. News to Dem Women,....you're butt ugly and your minds are warped, so get over it.

Christine O'Donnell debates Sen Harry Reid's "Pet" Chris Coons and say's that "separation of Church and State" is not in the First Amendment. The crowds gasps and the AP writes an attack piece. The crowd was comprised of so called legal scholars (get a damn job) and law students at Widener University Law School, who showed their collective asses, because they used their "anti-religion liberal interpretation" of the First Amendment rather than what the darn thing says.

The First Amendment states (verbatim): "Congress shall make no laws respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

Any idiot, except those in the crowd obviously, can read that there is no separation clause and that the Father's intent was to obvious keep the fledgling U.S. from declaring a National Religion like England (we most of them came from) had. It surely was not intended to keep States and local courts from displaying the Ten Commandants or the prohibition against a Manger Scene on government property during Christmas.

But all that's okay. Keep making us conservatives mad. We'll be sure to express that anger on November 2nd. Maybe some of you Dems and Libs should be buying Nancy Pelosi and gang some cardboard boxes to pack with.

Where are You On the Political Spectrum?

For the purpose of discussion, lets say there are five (5) Political Philosophies:

Left (Liberal)
Liberals usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

Libertarian
Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence. Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

Centrist
Centrist prefer a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

Right (Conservative)
Conservatives tend to favor economic freedom, but frequently support laws to restrict personal behavior that violates "traditional values." They oppose excessive government control of business, while endorsing government action to defend morality and the traditional family structure. Conservatives usually support a strong military, oppose bureaucracy and high taxes, favor a free-market economy, and endorse strong law enforcement.

Statists (Big Government)
Statists want government to have a great deal of power over the economy and individual behavior. They frequently doubt whether economic liberty and individual freedom are practical options in today's world. Statists tend to distrust the free market, support high taxes and centralized planning of the economy, oppose diverse lifestyles, and question the importance of civil liberties.

I found out another thing about myself the other day. I met this beautiful women shopping for truck tires. I struck up a conversation with her. I asked her what she did for a living. She replied that she liked everything and all things about women,...their hair, their curves, their smooth skin,...the way they kissed,...then she said she was a professional lesbian. She then asked me what I did for a living. I replied "Well, I used to think I was a Cowboy,..but now I'm came to realize I'm a lesbian."

Latest Crap that Makes Me Mad

I don't know if the fact that I'm getting older is a major cause of things just pissing me off,...but I do know that two recent articles in the local paper just got me steamed,....

First of all, remember that idiot Florida Pastor Terry Jones who threatened to burn a bunch of Korans if the Iman Rauf didn't change his plans to build a Mosque,...excuse me,...a Islamic Center close to Ground Zero?...Well, some New Jersey car dealer, named Brad Benson, made a pitch on one of his quirky radio spots to the effect that if Pastor Jones refrains from burning Korans then Benson will give him a car. And no kidding, the Pastor now wants it....he's slipping into the entitlement mode,..."give me something for which I didn't work for." ........
.....Hey, will anyone give ME something if I don't line my cat's litter box with pictures of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barney Frank?

The next thing was the Federal Reserve's plan to buy T bonds to help drive down already historically low loan rates. We've got the Administration and the Democrats in Congress that want to let people keep their houses they can't or refuse to pay mortgages on (let me or you try that!). We have the largest Federal debt in history,...we have the Federal Budget increasing 9%,.....we have an 27% increase in food stamp recipients,...people receiving unemployment benefits have risen a whopping 34%....and, there are actually people out there who want to give the Democrats two more years to screw things up further,...frigging unbelievably.

And the kicker on the latest crap that makes me mad is the reports that many States did not get Absentee Ballots out to the Military. So seemingly, in this day of next day delivery by FED-EX, UPS and DHL, service members may be denied the right to vote. Is it perhaps that the military votes over whelming for conservatives?

Christine O'Donnell - Everyone's Punching Bag

The last week or so I heard about enough garbage about Christine O'Donnell.

Bill Maher, who is a butt clown from the get go, remarked “that Christine O’Donnell didn’t belong in Congress.”

I say, “And you think Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi belong in Congress?”

O’Donnell’s opponent is an avowed Marxist named, Chris Coons, who Harry Reid (D-NV) describes “as his Pet”???

What? Hey, Harry,…what the hell is a Pet?


Locked into a race for the Deleware Senate seat and behind in the pools 53% - 42% (I don’t know where the other 5% is), Christine is in for a good hard fight for Delaware,….she doesn’t need some toe cheese eating flake like Bill Maher knocking her down.

And not only that, I heard another commentator say that Christine O’Donnell “doesn’t respect the media”,…….again, WHAT!

I tell you what,….please let Christine know when the media deserves respect.


And the latest is Wolf Blitzer from CNN (Communist News Network) bullying Christine around. Wolf - you're a loser and nobody likes you....that's why you're working for CNN.

Heaven or Hell - You Vote

Don't feel like getting into any political analysis or commentary tonight as I'm over whelmed from it on the news and in the papers. Even among my co-workers it's THE topic of discussion. It would serve a purpose if my co-workers and friends were liberals and I could change their mind, but I have not yet talked to anybody in my circle of friends, co-workers and acquaintances who like the direction this country is going and none of them blame anyone else than the current liberal administration and legislators. Speaking of legislators, this joke is appropriate.

HEAVEN OR HELL

While walking down the street one day a Corrupt Senator (more of them than not) was tragically hit by a car and died.

His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.

"Welcome to heaven," says St. Peter. "Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we're not sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," says the Senator..

"Well, I'd like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we'll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity."

"Really?, I've made up my mind. I want to be in heaven," says the Senator.

"I'm sorry, but we have our rules."

And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.

The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.

Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people. They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.

Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes.

They are all having such a good time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go.

Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises...

The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, "Now it's time to visit heaven.."

So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.

"Well, then, you've spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity."

The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: "Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell."

So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell..

Now the doors of the elevator open and he's in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.

The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.

"I don't understand," stammers the Senator. "Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there's just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?"

The devil smiles at him and says, "Yesterday we were campaigning. Today, you voted.."

John and his Chickens

Early voting begins next week, this is just a funny reminder, please everyone, do you homework and due diligence! Here's some humor to make you remember who is on your side....

John was in the fertilized egg business.

He had several hundred young layers (hens), called 'pullets,' and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs.

He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced.

This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters.

Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing.

Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells.

John's favorite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all!

When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover.

To John's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring.

He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one.

John was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the Saint Lawrence County Fair and he became an overnight sensation among the judges.

The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well.

Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the unsuspecting populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention.

Vote carefully this fall, the bells are not always audible!

On Sarah Palin's Character and Michelle Obama's Staff

Sent to me via e-mail from a Veteran's Group member. This piece was entitled "The Real Truth About Sarah Palin".

I wholeheartedly recognize and support the first part of the article about Sarah Palin, who is a front runner for the Republican bid for President in 2012. However, I have no facts nor desire to probe the facts or assumptions on the second half of the article concerning Michelle Obama, other than it is fact she has much more adminstrative and social suport than Adminstrations past.

The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to mention here.

1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3. The other thing she did when she walked into the governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list, took 85% of the m and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over" stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant.
Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the biggest private construction project in the history of North America. No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other hand.

5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the court house. Alaska won again.

6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25% renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewable by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about things done, as opposed to style and persona. Everybody wants to be cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her. Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face off. Shoulda known better.

You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars, womanizers, murderers, and bitter ex-presidents' wives.

So "You go, Girl." I only wish the men in Washington had your guts, determination, honesty, and morals.
I rest my case. Only FOOLS listen to the biased media.

Food Stamp and Junk Food Debate

I am sure everyone has been in the grocery store with a person in front of you using Food Stamps or the State level equivalent Did you every think "This person is poor, on food stamps but buying liquor, sodas, potato chips and other junk food with a tax payer's subsidiary?"

Well, that kind of thought is now open debate across the airwaves brought on by New York's plan to disallow the purchase of soda pop with food welfare coupons.

Kinda of a two edged sword, ain't it?

On one hand we don't want any more Government intrusions into our lives,.... and the cry for no more regulations is deafening.

On the other hand why should tax payers fund poor people's terrible eating habits, only to see these same people getting obese and developing Adult Onset Diabetes which the treatment of further depletes tax payer dollars and drives up health care costs?

I, for one, would support some type of reasonable, easy to enforce, ban on using tax paying funded food coupons to purchase liquor and junk food. How about you?

Supreme Court Analysis

The article was entitled: "Our New Dictator May Be In Deep Trouble..."

According to sources who watch the inner workings of the federal government, a smack-down of Barack Obama by the U.S. Supreme Court may be inevitable. Ever since Obama assumed the office of President, critics have hammered him on a number of Constitutional issues.

Critics have complained that much, if not all of Obama's major initiatives run headlong into Constitutional roadblocks on the power of the federal government. Obama certainly did not help himself in the eyes of the Court when he used the venue of the State of the Union address early in the year to publicly flog the Court over its ruling that the First Amendment grants the right to various organizations to run political ads during the time of an election.

The tongue-lashing clearly did not sit well with the Court, as demonstrated by Justice Sam Alito, who publicly shook his head and stated under his breath, 'That's not true,'when Obama told a flat-out lie concerning the Court's ruling.

As it has turned out, this was a watershed moment in the relationship between the executive and the judicial branches of the federal government. Obama publicly declared war on the court, even as he blatantly continued to propose legislation that flies in the face of every known Constitutional principle upon which this nation has stood for over 200 years. Obama has even identified; Chief Justice John Roberts as his number one enemy… that is, apart from Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, and so on. And… it is no accident that the one swing-vote on the court, Justice Anthony Kennedy, stated recently that he has no intention of retiring until 'Obama is gone.' Apparently, the Court has had enough.

The Roberts Court has signaled, in a very subtle manner, of course, that it intends to address the issues about which Obama critics have been screaming to high heaven.

A ruling against Obama on any one of these important issues could potentially cripple the Administration. Such a thing would be long overdue.

First... there is Obama-Care, which violates the Constitutional principle barring the federal government from forcing citizens to purchase something.

And no, this is not the same thing as states requiring drivers to purchase car insurance, as some of the intellectually-impaired claim.

The Constitution limits FEDERAL government, not state governments, from such things, and further, not everyone has to drive, and thus, a citizen could opt not to purchase car insurance by simply deciding not to drive a vehicle.

In the Obama-Care world, however, no citizen can 'opt out.'

Second... sources state that the Roberts court has quietly accepted information concerning discrepancies in Obama's history that raise serious questions about his eligibility for the office of President.

The charge goes far beyond the birth certificate issue. This information involves possible fraudulent use of a Social Security number in Connecticut, while Obama was a high school student in Hawaii. And that is only the tip of the iceberg.

Third... several cases involving possible criminal activity, conflicts of interest, and pay-for-play cronyism could potentially land many Administration officials, if not Obama himself, in hot water with the Court.

Frankly, in the years this writer has observed politics, nothing comes close to comparing with the rampant corruption of this Administration, not even during the Nixon years. Nixon and the Watergate conspirators look like choirboys compared to the jokers that populate this Administration.

In addition, the court will eventually be forced to rule on the dreadful decision of the Obama DOJ suing the state of Arizona. That too, could send the Obama Doctrine of open borders to an early grave, given that the Administration refuses to enforce federal law on illegal aliens.

And finally, the biggie that could send the entire house of cards tumbling in a free-fall is the latest revelation concerning the Obama-Holder Department of Justice and its refusal to pursue the New Black Panther Party. The group was caught on tape committing FELONIES by attempting to intimidate Caucasian voters into staying away from the Polls. A Whistle-Blower who resigned from the DOJ is now charging Holder with deliberate refusal to pursue cases against Blacks, particularly those who are involved in radical hate-groups, such as the New Black Panthers, who have been caught on tape calling for the MURDER OF WHITE PEOPLE AND THEIR BABIES.

This one is a biggie that could send the entire Administration crumbling... that is IF the justices have the guts draw a line in the sand at the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Current State of Congressional Campaigns

Below is from the Republican National Committee. For the record, Cowboys-and-Tea-Parties does not give blanket support all Republicans. We are highly pissed that some high level Republicans trashed the Tea Party and some Tea Party candidates (such as Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell) and either have not gotten behind Tea Party candidates or got behind them at very late stages of their campaign putting their election at risk.


First, we are confident that every Republican incumbent running for re-election will win.

Additionally, we also strongly expect to hold every Republican open seat. The national Democrats have ceded New Hampshire, Kansas, Utah and Ohio – and they are spending no money in these races.

In Alaska, Joe Miller (R) appears to be holding a significant lead over both his opponents.

In Florida, Marco Rubio (R) has opened a commanding lead over both Charlie Crist (I) and liberal Kendrick Meek (D).

In Missouri, despite the national Democrats spending over $3 million to smear Roy Blunt (R) with baseless attacks, Blunt continues to lead Robin Carnahan (D).

And in Kentucky, Dr. Rand Paul (R) holds consistent lead over Louisville liberal trial lawyer Jack Conway (D).

As for the Democrat held seats, we are going to win a lot of races.

John Hoeven (R) is going to win North Dakota.

In Indiana, Hoosiers know Brad Ellsworth (D) as Nancy Pelosi's loyal deputy who supported ObamaCare and the failed stimulus, and the polls reflect that Dan Coats (R) will win.

In Arkansas, Senator Blanche Lincoln (D) is trailing by nearly 25 points to John Boozman (R).

In Illinois, we expect this race to be competitive to the end, but are confident Mark Kirk (R) will defeat failed mob banker Alexi Giannoulias (D).

In Pennsylvania, the Democrats have spent over $3 million accusing attacking Pat Toomey (R) and he is in better shape today than he was a month ago.

In Wisconsin, President Obama's approval rating have plummeted and voters have began to scrutinize 18-year incumbent Russ Feingold's (D) record, while businessman Ron Johnson's (R) strong campaign has consistently picked up steam. We will provide Johnson with whatever help he needs to maintain his lead over Feingold and win on November 2nd.

In Colorado, despite being outspent by Governor Ritter's appointed Senator Michael Bennet (D), Ken Buck (R) is poised to win, and the NRSC will invest whatever means necessary to help him do so.

And that's not all.

In West Virginia, despite Democrats expecting liberal Governor Joe Manchin (D) to waltz to victory, businessman John Raese (R) continues to surge, and has provided us a strong opportunity to win.

In Nevada, Sharron Angle (R) continues to run neck-and-neck with embattled Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D).

In Connecticut, Linda McMahon (R) has taken perpetual liar Dick Blumenthal's (D) lead from 41 points this January, to a mere 4 points today.

In California, Carly Fiorina (R) has withstood the initial attacks by Senator Boxer (D) and is still within striking distance. The NRSC just provided Carly's campaign with $2 million in coordinated funding and we hope to do more as this campaign enters the home stretch.

In Washington state, we have only begun to prosecute our case against 18-year incumbent Patty Murray (D), and the NRSC is prepared to invest millions in this race to help elect Dino Rossi (R).

And, even in Delaware, a tough blue state for Republicans, polls show unease with the Democrats' reckless spending and health care spending bill. Christine O'Donnell (R) raised more money in one week than Chris Coons (D) did in over six months. We expect her to be on the air soon and her war chest has already forced the DSCC to spend their scarce cash in Coons' defense.

Obama and Lack of Documentation Debate continues

We received the following comment on the post titled: Obama's Undocumented Past and the LTC Lakin Case.

Yes, you are right, they will not release it because Hawaii has not sent out the original since 2001--not to ANYBODY. Ever since the new short-form computer-generated Certification of Live Birth became the official birth certificate in 2001, that is the only birth document that Hawaii has sent out.

The Certification of Live Birth is the official birth certificate, used by thousands of people every year to prove their birth in the USA .

Answer: Probably Rich friends when he was at college. Is this illegal?”

CATP answers – While there is still some legitimate debate over President Obama’s birth certificate, I have to admit I’m not too concerned about that as I am his adult background, his friends and mentors and his administration’s policies, which speak much louder than a birth certificate about who he is.

The full documentation issue is very concerning….hell, even a little bit of documentation would be acceptable. When compared to other President’s, Obama’s total lack of disclosure on school records, passports and travel records, and, work records if you call being a lawyer and a community organizer really work, are just a different standard. Conservatives, however, are used to the double standard for Liberals as opposed to conservatives. A liberal congressman gets in trouble, like Barney Mumbles Frank running a gay whore house out of his condo, and the Dems cover it up and accuse Republicans of being prejudiced against butt pirates. Let a Republican do something unethical, and there have been plenty of those too, and the whole world’s out to get him.

Back to Obama and his lack of disclosure,….I for one care about who paid for his travel to SW Asia and more importantly what did he do there? For anybody else in the Federal government, this would mean no security clearance……..Oh, there goes that double standard again.

Obama's Undocumented Past and the LTC Lakin Case

Did it every cross your mind that every Presidential candidate and ever President up to Obama has had to release documentation on everything from his birth through college and military records? Why is Obama any different?

This article from World Net Daily covers the Court Martial evidence proceedings on LTC Terry Lakin who has refused deployment orders based on believing that Obama is occupying the Commander in Chief's position of the Armed Forces in violation of the Constitution...to wit: Article 2, Section 1, which states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

Many people believe claims that Obama was born in Kenya or elsewhere are totally false, but the non-release of documentation does little to quell these beliefs.

The World Net Daily article says (in part):

"A number of challenges and lawsuits have been based on the constitutional requirement, some alleging Obama does not qualify because he was not born in Hawaii in 1961 as he claims. Others say he fails to qualify because he was a dual citizen of the U.S. and the United Kingdom when he was born, and the framers of the Constitution specifically excluded dual citizens from eligibility."

I don't know what to believe other than the indisputable fact that Obama's has not released very many records at all. I particularly would like to know how long his trip to SW Asia was during his college years, where exactly did he go and who paid for the trip and accommodations? If you have ever had a security clearance then you know that you had to document foreign travel and contacts, as well as sources of income. Yet nothing on Obama.

President Obama's finance team is recommending a transaction tax. His plan is
to sneak it in after the November election to keep it under the radar. This is a 1% tax on all transaction at any financial institution i. e. Banks, Credit Unions, extra. Any deposit you make, or move around within your account, i. e. transfer to, will have a 1% tax charged. If your pay check or your social Security or whatever is direct deposit, 1% tax charged. If you hand carry a check in to deposit, 1% tax charged, If you take cash in to deposit, 1% tax charged.This is from the man who promised that if you make under $250,000 per year, you will not see one penny of new tax.

Another Rat Leaves the Ship

Another Rat leaving the Sinking Ship. This time it is Rahm Emanuel, sometimes referred to as the “Evil Dwarf”, who was Obama’s Chief of Staff. Best know for his bracing of naked Congressmen in the Congressional Gym and Shower Room, Emanuel wielded a lot of power within the Obama Administration. But even an idiot, and I don’t think Emanuel is an Idiot, just a Socialist,……am I being redundant here?........ …Anyway, even an idiot can see the bow of the ship dipping below the water line.

I know there are alot of Legislators who are glad not to have Emanuel lurking through the Congressional Shower Room trying to shake down these naked law makers for a vote one way of the other. Rahm - here's a tip,....when you have to talk to naked men, keep your eye balls focused neck level and above.

However, what prompted me to write this, was the press conference upon the announcement of Emanuel’s resignation where the President lauded Emanuel as an "incomparable leader" and a "selfless public servant." He added, "We could not have accomplished what we've accomplished without Rahm's leadership." What?!? Well okay if you insist,.....we can add the Evil Dwarf to the blame line as well.

At the White House event, Emanuel called it a "bittersweet day." He thanked the president for his "warm friendship and confidence." "Mr. President, I thought I was tough," Emanuel told Obama. "I want to thank you for being the toughest leader any country could ask for in the toughest times any president has ever faced."

Gag me with a D handled Shovel! I need a 55 gallon barrel to throw up in. “Toughest Times any President has ever faced?” ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Virtually every President has not only faced tough times, but much, much tougher times than this pretender now in the White House. What about Geo Washington ? How about James Madison and the British invasion- War of 1812? Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War ring a Bell? How about F.D.R, Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower? J.F.K.. Lyndon Johnson? What about George Bush and the trials and tribulations of 9-11 and the dismantling of the Taliban government in Afghanistan. Holy Cow, I really hope you don't believe that crap!!

What a joke Emanuel is and what a stone faced liar he is. Problem is some people will believe that garbage. These are the people we need to beware about,…voters without a brain. Come on People,….33 Days til “Throw the Bums Out” day.

Amuse Yourself at AARP's Expense

Have you ever received an offer from AARP, who is of course the American Association of Retired People?? If you are already a member do you support the AARP becoming a liberal cause supportting, a socialist political action committee, using your membership dollars?

No matter what your view is on the Obamacare law that pass, and will hopefully be repealed by the new Republican majority in Congress coming soon, you would have to admit that passing a law so you can find out what is in it (Nancy Pelosi's reasoning) was really stupid,...moronic in fact.

Everything single swinging Richard in Congress who voted for it should be summarily fired. Well, the AARP was one of major groups lobbying for the passage of Obamacare even though the Medicare cuts will be devastating to the elderly. I guess so much for taking care of their membership which is the over 50 crowd.

So anyway, to crack myself up, when I get these AARP offers in the mail, I always write in a black Sharpie,..... "Leave me Alone you Communists!",..... or,...."This is the 22nd offer I have refused,..get a clue your Morons!"

Then I stuff the pre-paid envelope with carpet cleaning ads, roof repair ads and the occassional napkin with mustard stains and send back.
